This property was perfect for my family. Lots of activities on the property and the bikes were a hit with easy access to the boardwalk and Cliff Drive. Only used the car for groceries!

My husband and I brought our MN granddaughter to stay with us in this adorable cottage for 2 nights this last week. We had fun using the hot tub, and loved being able to take an easy walk to the beach, Santa Cruz Wharf and the Beach Boardwalk. The Marine Interpretive Center right by the entrance to the wharf was a delightful find as was the Foster Freeze right around the corner from the Cabana. The cottage itself is cozy, but wonderful. The beds were comfy (the couch too), and the vibe of the place is great. It had everything we needed to be able to cook a meal. The only thing we hoped to find there but didn't was the wagon mentioned in the rental description. We ended up doing fine without it, but if you wanted to spend the entire day on the beach (with boogie boards a cooler, a beach umbrella and towels or a blanket) a wagon would have been very useful. That said, the Cabana has a lot to offer and we loved our time there. Thanks for sharing it with us!

We had a wonderful trip. Quick walk to the boardwalk. Wonderful bike riding along Cliff Drive. Quick walk to downtown restaurants. Great house with nice backyard and hot tub.

Location and amenities were great

Property was as described. Parking is a bit tricky, but worth it for the proximity to all that Santa Cruz has to offer. The kitchen was equipped with most of what we needed, beds were comfortable, and we really enjoyed the backyard amenities. It’s close to the wharf and boardwalk and a short drive to West Cliff.

We loved our stay. The house is charming, the back area is very nice, the hot tub is great. I specifically rented this because of the bikes, we didn't end up using them much but nice to have them available. The location is great, we walked to pacific mall for coffee in the morning, to the beach, boardwalk and wharf in 5-10 minutes. The only downside is the bathroom. The shower is awful. The shower head is nice but it makes a really loud scream when you turn the water on. It wasn't draining very well either, which I told the owner about and I assume that will be cleared, it is an easy fix. This house is small and cozy, which we loved. The kitchen looked odd to me in the picture but in real life is great. Well stocked with everything you need to cook with and plenty of counter space.

The orange tree in the back yard allowed us to have a fresh orange everyday that we were there. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. The cruiser bikes worked well for getting around Santa Cruz. The beds were comfortable. Location was perfect for walking and riding bikes to restaurants and the beach.

Great place near downtown.

Had an awesome stay. Great little house with an amazing backyard! Loved the bikes and other things available in the shed. The hot tub was the cherry on top. Thanks for everything!

Everything we needed. Amazing hot tub. The shower is a bit unique, but great pressure and plenty of hot water. Comfy beds.

The bungalow is super cute! The shower can confuse you! Shower head on one side and knobs on the other, if you’re not careful you’ll get sprayed before getting in to shower! Bedroom to the east could use some curtains as the morning sun makes its way in and wakes you up. Game room is awesome! Spa was amazing. Location! Location! Location! Did I say great location! Overall it is a very enjoyable place to stay! We would definitely stay again!

Cute little two bedroom house with a big back patio, hot tub, and shed with everything you need for a fun getaway— bikes, wetsuits, boards, balls, even a cornhole game. The kitchen is also well equipped, and the instant wall heaters take the chill out of the winter air pretty quickly. My only complaint would be the driveway—it’s very steep and narrow and the car scraped bottom going in and out— no biggie, it’s a rental!

This cottage never disappoints! Perfect location, beach gear, games, awesome backyard with all the amenities you could ask for. The property owner is super responsive and great to work with. The house could use a little TLC and maintenance but still an awesome place and a great time.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay. Just big enough to fit us all. The beach gear (wetsuits, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc.) were such a huge plus to our stay. The backyard/outdoor area is cute as can be. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Great times in a great location!

We were able to walk to just about anything we wanted. The house was well supplied and comfortable. Perhaps some mirrors in the bedrooms so you could finish getting ready in your room instead of tying up the bathroom Other than that - perfect

The Cabana was perfect for our group of 5. Walking or riding distance to everything, great yard for our bigger group of sons. We slept very well, quiet neighborhood at night, except for us probably! Great spaces for parking and leaving car. It has all amenities needed for cooking at home, beautiful stove btw! The owners are very thoughtful of their guests and what would be needed for a comfortable stay. The cabana is just like the homes here in Ventura county in our beach neighborhoods so it was very comparable and we felt very much at home. Thank you so much for everything and hopefully stay there again in November! Oh and the Giant Redwood tree in the back, just amazing, as that is one old tree we do not get down here.

This property suited my friend and I. Easy to walk to all parts of Santa Cruz and we used the hot tub every day. Weather not kind enough to encourage us into the sea or to use the outside space as much as we would have liked but excellent to have all of the equipment to hand. Kitchen well equipped, TV resource excellent and beds big and comfortable. Only not so positive feedback is the property would benefit from a paint refresh and new curtains to make it perfect but these are small details overall. Many thanks to our hosts!

Good home was as described, backyard was very nice and the extra little hangout house was a bonus. Only two things about the home i would recommend would be too get the jets on the hot tub fixed, they did not have very much pressure coming out of them. Another one for a family with girls, have another big mirror or 2 in the home or bedrooms. When all the girls were trying to get into the bathroom for the mirror, can get a little crazy..lol. Another thing for people to be aware of is the homeless issue in the area. This is not About the home, but the area. Like most cities in Cali, this is becoming an issue. We felt fairly safe walking around during the day, but would not recommend walking at night. We liked this spot for the location to the boardwalk. Ultimately i ended up workingout in the a.m. and going and parking the car by the boardwalk and walking back. This way we had it to drive back at night.

My daughter-in-law and grandchildren stayed in this cute cottage for 2-nights end of July to enjoy summer activities at the Boardwalk before they went back to school. The cabana is cute and the backyard is huge with lots of activities. The inside is a little tight, but we didn't spend too much time there as we were at the beach/Boardwalk most of the time. Do be careful about the following as we were charged an extra $100: ensure you place garbage in the correct containers (we were charged for putting garbage in the refuse container ((which was not labeled)) because the owner claimed he had to empty it out and put in correct receptacle; we were charged for a broken food scrap container (?? not even sure what that is and where it was located); we were charged for sand and wood chips in the hot tub (not sure how/why for this as the last time I/kids were in hot tub, night before check-out, it was clean). It's my belief there will be a little sand in the hot tub after using as your feet will get dirty walking from the shower to the hot tub naturally, but that's just my common sense. Owner claimed he had to totally drain and refill hot tub. I find that hard to believe, but nothing I could do about a he said/she said issue. Other than the unexpected charge, we enjoyed the few days we had in Santa Cruz, however I probably wouldn't stay in this unit again due to the issues with the owner. There are many other properties available to rent.

Wonderful place to stay in a central location in Santa Cruz. We stayed there with our 3 kids, and even though we thought it would be small, it actually was perfect for us. The yard/hot tub/beach supplies are excellent amenities, and we could easily walk the half mile to the beach with their wagon pulling our stuff. Easy walking to lots of dinner and shopping options. Really great place for a weekend in Santa Cruz - would definitely do it again!

The Cabana is so cute! It is small but but they use the space very well & they have everything you need. The backyard is like the photos. We were there on 4th of July weekend so we used the bicycles to get around instead of driving. You can walk to anywhere you need. Easier to bicycle to the Boardwalk. I would stay there again.

Great rental for the price! The house is cute and the yard, jacuzzi, little play room, etc was awesome. There were just a few tiny things like the house could use a little more love and attention but very minor in respect. We really loved being at this rental!

Our family had a wonderful stay! The location provided easy access to shops, theaters and restaurants. It was also just a short walk to the beach and boardwalk. The backyard was a huge bonus - with plenty of space to stretch out, dine, play, and enjoy the weather.

We’ve used this property multiple times over several years. It’s our best friends’ rendezvous place. Always a pleasure to spend time in the yard and the Cabana suits our needs perfectly.

We loved our stay at the Cabana! We are from MD & have never traveled to CA before. This was a stop on our bigger CA road-trip and it kicked off our vacation in such a special way! We loved the house & the backyard is an oasis! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Love this spot. Two bedrooms with the most comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and a back yard with a hot tub. What more could you ask for? Short walk to the beach and boardwalk. Property owner was great to work with and very responsive. A great stay at a great place. We hope to be back soon!

We came in to town to go to a concert at the Caralyst. This property is greatly located and walking distance to everything in downtown Santa Cruz. Including all boardwalk activities. We had trouble with the Spa and Paul contacted us immediately and provided assistance. I would highly recommend this property, location, location, location. It has a great entertainment background as well and I want to go back during warmer weather. Would be legit. Big enough for a couple or 2 or small family.

Incredible location - easy, 10-15 min, walk to downtown and the wharf. House is small but cozy. Backyard is an oasis. Owners are helpful and responsive. 10/10 would stay again.
