Clean apartment with well outfitted kitchen. Comfy bedding and quiet street short walk from shopping, restaurants and BART. Very easy communication with host. I’d stay there again.

This is a basement apt.but the owners have done a lot to make it feel like a home. It smells like a basement for a few seconds but then the vent air comes on and the smell goes away.
The owners have spent a lot of time and money making it feel cozy. They have added lots of nice touches. They have a lot of rules but I don't blame them... literally who comes into a home and lights incense?? If you need a smoke free place this is a good choice.

We stayed here to support our daughter who lives nearby and just had surgery. It is a great location in that it is only about a 10 minute walk away from College Avenue, restaurants, shops and large supermarket nearby. It is a safe neighborhood, people are out always walking their pets or pushing strollers. Lolo is lovely and attentive to anything I needed and was generous in providing the basics for us, always a relief after traveling a long distance to get here. I will gladly stay here again!

We felt welcomed and reassured to have the lovely Lolo and her family upstairs from us, particularly as two women travelling alone together in unfamiliar environs. Lolo is warm, caring, and receptive to suggestions. Lolo cares a lot about making people feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. This said, if you have any suggestions to offer, please be as respectful and kind as is she! Check out the gorgeous bodhi tree in front!

Easy check-in/check out. This single, private entry apartment is on the ground floor with a separate living space upstairs. Super Rockridge location with plenty of street parking. Nice natural daylight interior lighting, with spacious, open kitchen and living area. Bedrooms and bathroom are roomy. Beds were very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. Once we arrived, we walked everywhere we wanted to go, e.g., College Ave shopping and restaurants, UCB, and Berkeley Repertory Theater. This place is a good find!

This was a great place that we stayed at for a quick getaway. The location was perfect, close to lots of great places to eat and walking distance too. Lolo is great . She communicated with us really well and was very responsive. She she even left us a box of toys for our toddler which was very thoughtful. Would definitely stay here again.

Fine 2BR option in good neighborhood, conveniently located. Owner very responsive when questions arose and alerted us before arrival to municipal activities in the area that might have been of concern (but were not).

Pretty neighborhood
We stayed for 2 nights as our son was getting married in Alameda. There was plenty of room for my wife and me; as well as my oldest son, his wife, and our 2 year old grand daughter. The place was very clean, and the neighborhood was safe and quiet. I enjoyed walking to the coffee shop, and the people we met were extremely friendly.
Since my son now lives in San Lorenzo, we hope to stay there again soon.

We are friends from all over the world got together in Oakland and got really great time. Kitchen was well equipped and a kitchen knife was sharp that everybody was surprised because we cooked a lot there. Great times!! One thing was little too cold in the house for the southern Californians.

Everything went smoothly with our stay at the unit. The unit is close to many restaurants and shops on College. It is also close to the train station. The unit was very clean and comfortable. We stayed for three nights and were gone most of the day so we didn't even have a chance to use the kitchen. There is no AC, so if you are used to having that, just fyi. It wasn't an issue for us. The unit is a lower basement-type unit so it stays nice and cool. There are also fans in the closet which I loved for sleeping! The owner was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this unit and would stay here again.

Wonderful and cosy apartment!
All communication with Lolo was promptly responded to and polite so we were assured she would be a good host. The instructions were clear and getting there was easy. The apartment was beautifully clean and tidy, but well stocked with essentials and a few extra personal touchs. We had a great holiday and having a lovely place to stay made things so much less stressful. It's a lovely quiet neighbourhood and located close to shops and restaurants. Thank you for being a great host!

Great place, great location, not so great beds
This place is nearly perfect---nice place, very clean, great location. The kitchen is well stocked and the host is very friendly and communicative. Literally the only negative is that the beds are not super comfortable. The bed in one of the bedrooms is creaky and very bouncy---every single movement made by one person in the bed is felt (and heard) by the other. Same goes for the queen-sized pull-out sofabed: noisy and uncomfortable. I could hear from the other room (with the door closed) every time my son shifted position on that bed. We mitigated the discomfort by taking the small mattress from the rollaway bed and placing it on top of the sofabed mattress. If the bed situation were different, I would give 5 stars without hesitation.

Wonderful stay
Lolo is a pleasure to work with. Her property is very comfortable, spacious and has everything you could possibly need. She went out of her way to make sure she had age appropriate books/toys for our daughter. Highly recommend!

Loved our little apartment, everything was set up to easily care for our 6 month old. Location was fabulous. The one and only imperfection was the mattresses, but doable for the price, privacy and location.

The apartment is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. You don't need to bring anything with you apart from your food. Lolo lives upstairs and is friendly and helpful if required. It is in a pretty, quiet, residential street, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and BART trains. If visiting Oakland again, we would definitely book here.

Lolo is a wonderful hostess, with a great rental. It is sparkling clean and so well appointed. SO many thoughtful details throughout. Great location too!
