If you drive too fast, you may miss the turn onto Wonderview. But once you make that turn you will see the most charming site of little cottages hugging the coast. This cottage is in the very center, so it has the best full view of the water. This is a perfect place to enjoy Belfast. So cozy and charming, and the hosts were wonderful to communicate with. I want to come back to this place later this year, as Maine is quite beautiful!

This was a great cottage It was clean and well maintained. Everything was labeled and there were written instructions. The owners, Fran and Ellen, provided great communication and information about the attractions and restaurants in the area. The location of the cottage was perfect. Right on the shores of Penobscot Bay.

Everything about this cottage was just wonderful. Very clean, very peaceful, and very accessible to everything in the Belfast area. Fran was extremely easy to communicate with as well as being very helpful. It truly is a gem!

Fran's house in Belfast was perfect for our 3 day stay in Belfast. The location was great for day trips to Belfast and Camden Areas. The views were incredible - we enjoyed walking on the beach area at low tide and the sunsets. The house was very clean and very nicely decorated. I highly recommend this house.

This is a compact little cottage, but it's so impeccably laid out that it doesn't feel that way. Every design decision in the front of the cottage seems to have been designed with maximizing the views. When you come out of either of the bedrooms in the morning, you're immediately greeted with a gorgeous view of the bay. Everything was neat and tidy, with nice attention to detail, and thoughtfully equipped. Fran was wonderful to communicate with - I'd asked if he had any suggestions to accommodate our family's slightly different scenario, and he gave many great suggestions - we wouldn't have found a couple great areas, and a new favorite restaurant, without Fran! We wouldn't hesitate to visit again - just a real gem of a cottage, with wonderful hosts.

Beautiful clean cottage overlooking the bay in Belfast Maine. Views are breathtaking, and it’s quiet enough to hear the ocean at night. This is our second stay- and will not be the last.

Great stay, great location for exploring the area or just chilling

This cottage by the sea is everything you want it to be: simple, comfortable, full of beautiful windows and a walkable beach (safe steps lead down there). We had a wonderful time in this enchanting, private cottage. The hosts were quick to respond to a question and super helpful with suggestions on what to do in the area. We relaxed, collected sea glass on the beach and took many day trips to explore the surrounding towns. This Is a special location and we can’t wait to return.

once again this property does not disappoint. Perfect couple getaway. Only disappointment was that the local kayak outfitters stop renting kayaks after Oct 1, and that was such a great experience last year. On gorgeous fall days, the water beckons. Perfect 4 day getaway for us with our 2 grandchildren. Cottage was adorable, very clean, in quiet area, with beautiful views & easy water access. Surrounding area had activities for us to do with the kids. It was all that we hoped for and more.

This sweet cottage has a wonderful location on Penobscott Bay. The views are lovely and we watched lobster boats check their traps, loons diving and a seal sunning on a rock at low tide. We were there midweek and early in the season so most of the surrounding cottages were not occupied. The cottage was clean, nicely decorated and had what we needed for our stay. We enjoyed our visit.

Very cute and sweet property right on the ocean. Our stay in mid-May was very quiet and peaceful, there were not many other folks around. It was nice to wake up to see the water so close and we loved being able to have tea and read in the early mornings in the Adirondack chairs on the patio and eat dinner at the picnic table looking out onto the water. It's a small cottage, totally great as a jumping-off point for day trips in the mid-coast and downeast.

In what was a totally needed change of scenery, Fran and Ellen's cottage was perfect. The location right on the bay was mesmerizing. The cottage is perfectly appointed and comfortable. The late summer weather was so refreshing. I rented a kayak and had easy access to the water down the path to the beach. Young's Lobster for takeaway was perfect. Was just what we needed - my daughter and I spent 8 days relaxing, giggling and making memories. The cottage was perfectly decorated, was well stocked with the necessities, clean and tidy. The owners left easily followed instructions for use of the amenities and left plenty of extra towels. Even had some lightbulbs stashed away if you needed them. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I considered this lovely home one of our best Maine coastal vacations in 25 years! The owners were wonderful and all our questions were answered promptly. Fran and Ellen were a genuine pleasure to deal with. Loved the beautiful home, steps to the ocean. The house was lovely, fresh, and appeared to be recently updated with everything you need for a getaway. The beds were super comfy, and a place of total relaxation! The cottage was cozy and well organized with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. The setting was wonderful - we enjoyed eating outside and watching seals just off the beach, and loons and eagles passing through. Very peaceful and lovely. Belfast, Rockport and Castine were wonderful to explore.

Cute little cottage, lovely location right on the ocean. Fireplace if needed for warmth as well as heat pump with AC for coolness if needed, though not needed. Modern facilities. Cleanliness for my taste, could be better. Coffee pot dirty, frig, one area dirty, shelves had tiny spots I wiped clean. Oven dirty.. Windowsills one bedroom dusty. Floor looked clean, but needed washing.

This is a very relaxing place to stay that us very close to many parts of maine. The view of the harbor with bald eagles porpoise and many other birds is awesome. The song of loons and the Foghorn lulls to sleep. I hated to leave. The cottage is very cozy and equipped with everything needed.

What a surprise, beautiful view, directly on the waterfront, exactly as described. Easy parking next to the unit. Comfortable beds, no closet in 2nd bedroom but pegs for hanging clothes. A/C and fireplace worked great, (yes we needed both within 5 days), Stairs easily navigated to rocky beach., plus very quiet neighbors. Internet went out but helpful owners had it up and running within 1 day. It’s a great place to chill, relax and recharge.

The cottage furnishings are beautiful and welcoming. We took several day trips all over the coast and the view at the cottage was by far our favorite! The beach is easy to get to and offers hours of fun, especially around low tide. We contacted Fran a time or two and she was helpful and responsive. We had so much fun exploring Belfast and it’s hip restaurants and cute stores. The location is perfectly central for day trips to Camden, rockland, and Acadia. We can’t wait to go back!

A group of us rented three cottages on Wonderview Circle for a nearby wedding. We were able to check in early to Fran’s place, which was cozy, gorgeous and right on the water! It was clean, bright, and just what you need for a nice weekend away. We would definitely rent again!
