We were able to walk two blocks to Lake Superior, coffee shop, brewery, and restaurants. Wonderful location! Cozy home!

Ella’s Inn was the perfect spot for out multi-generational family. The location at the base of the Gunfint Trail and within walking distance to Grand Marais made for easy access to a variety of activities and restaurants. Looking forward to another stay.

Family of 6 - grandparents stayed on first floor; parents and 2 kids used 3 bedrooms upstairs. Enjoyed the living room, dining room and kitchen areas, all worked well for us. We walked everywhere the 4 days of our stay - never got in the car.

Very clean, well stocked, great location, very responsive communication. Pretty much perfect! Out deacons time at this lovely place.

We loved Ella’s inn. It was very close to downtown Grand Marais, everything was accessible. We also liked that it has a well-stocked kitchen. The house is perfect for families and friends of all ages. We’ll stay here again if/when we go back to Grand Marais.

We were extremely impressed with this property. It was perfectly maintained and clean, it had everything we needed, and it was very convenient to everything in Grand Marais. The house has a lot of charm and warmth which is why we liked it so much. One of our favorite VRBOs...and we've stayed at a lot of places.

If you are looking for a place for couples this is it!! 8 of us stayed and there was plenty of room. Clean darling place and great location for our snowmobile group. We will be back!!

Loved the property and staying for a nice skiing weekend with friends

This house is lovely and plenty of room for 9 people (or more) to relax - great location, well-stocked kitchen, and very clean!

Lori’s place is easy to access, within walking of the Voyageur Brewery and the the Art Colony. We enjoyed family meals in the perfect dining room, and meals cooked together in the well equipped kitchen; we played card and TV games in the cozy living room, and sleeping restfully was easy in the quiet, big house. The drive to pincushion trail head for xc skiing was 5 min, and 20 min drive to Lutsen ski area. And what a beautiful drive up and back from Duluth. I appreciate Lori’s patience and promptness with me in communication, when email did not work out for me.

We really enjoyed our stay in this “homey” and comfortable house. It was very clean and the owner was available to answer a couple of questions. We’ll definitely be back!

Our group of seven had a delightful time staying at Ella's Inn!!! It was spotlessly cleaned, had all the necessities and 3 awesome bathrooms with showers. We lingered in conversation inside and had a beautiful fire in the firepit. (Firewood was provided.) This location was close to downtown so we were able to walk everywhere. Love it!!!

The home was very lovely and inviting! All rooms were ready and made for us when we arrived. The host left a fact sheet for both the house and the community that was useful for any questions that we had. The host was also very flexible in arranging our stay based on the staggered arrival of our group. The house had everything we needed from a kitchen- and dining-standpoint, although we did eat out on most occasions. We were out and about for most of the trip so the house was mostly used to rest our heads at night, but it was set up for enjoyment had we stayed in the house for extended periods of time during the day. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our accommodations and would greatly recommend this property for your next stay in Grand Marais!

Homey yet spacious accommodations with everything needed for a wonderful stay. Nestled in Grand Marais, close to shops and great eateries plus the Gunflint Trail for hiking under blue skies on the North Shore - highly recommend Ella's Inn!

Perfectly situated in Grand Marais with an easy check-in. The house was very clean, the beds and bedding were comfy, and in general it was all we were hoping for. It was nice to come back from a day of hiking, be able to cook a light meal, and then stroll down the street to the local brewery overlooking the harbor.

Don’t mistake me, the house is fully equipped with wifi and the tv with streaming, but the charm in the home is in its quaintness. It reminds me of my grandma’s house growing up with beautiful rooms & sweet decor. For my group (80 year old father, myself, and 4 kids - 19, 17, 15, 10) it was perfect to be able to spread out as well as come together for meals & activities. A hard fought game of Phase 10 was waged in the dining room while my father slept unbothered next door (and the sunburned 15 year old who fell asleep upstairs didn’t hear a peep). The house has sundries - oils for cooking, vinegar, basic spices - as well as a sweet basket on the counter (which my father promptly demolished). The only negative is NOT against the home, but with the city - the sidewalks leading up from the harbor are in rough shape. I hope it’s on the cities “to-do” list soon. If you are looking for a modern, newly built home, this is not the VRBO for you. If charm, grace and comfort are more you style, I encourage you to give Ella’s Inn a shot. It was simply delightful.

Ella's Inn, with its six bedrooms and three bathrooms, is a great place for a large group of adults. It's the most equipped rental I've stayed at in terms of linens and supplies needed in the kitchen, BBQ, etc. It was very clean and we were comfortable. It's a great value.

Easy checkin, good communication with host, great location in Grand Marais. Six friends each had their own bedroom, and great to have 3 bathrooms. Wonderful place.

We loved our stay at Ella's Inn. We had two groups of pharmacy students here and at Stone's throw just down the street. We were able to relax, enjoy Grand Marais and the great outdoors! Thank you so much, Lori, for being a great host!

My wife and I and our two adult daughters and one boyfriend came to Grand Marais to celebrate the new year in our favorite area in Minnesota. We went snowshoeing up the Gunflint Trail and stopped at several state parks, and just enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful VRBO playing games and chatting.
