Clean - friendly and great continental breakfast

Big beautiful room, comfortable bed, room and hotel was quiet after hours.

Wasn't able to stay longer to enjoy all of the amazing amenities.

The hotel in itself is very nicely done and relaxing. The room was spacious and had decent kitchen amenities.

It would have been nicer to have the bathroom situated in such a way that the adult person(s) sleeping on the sofa bed (4 person king suite) didn't have to go through the actual bedroom area to get to it. It was an odd setup for us (I think for anybody really), as we thought there was going to be a second bathroom (that was our mistake as we didn't double-check) but luckily our young adult son, my husband and I, could handle the two nights decently enough. If we decide to stay here again, we are going to get two separate rooms instead, for sure. The breakfast was not the best in the dining area. The seating area and the ladies who looked after the kitchen area and dining area were very nice, jovial, even had good senses of humor about things. But the breakfast itself was not the best - perhaps due to the pandemic, I don't know. We understand certain things have had to be adjusted due to this huge pandemic, but giving your guests a decent breakfast - Continental or otherwise, makes a big difference to most people who are travelling. For a newer hotel and being adjacent to the Holiday Inn Express, we would have thought that there would be a bigger pool and hot tub to be used by the guests. Each time we tried to access the area, it was full. Because of the pandemic still ongoing, there has to be a limit on people in the pool and hot tub, and keeping socially distant while in the area, so we weren't able to enjoy either of them. They were just way too small. One other thing: perhaps the builders of these hotels should think about not putting in a big water slide for kids/adults if the pool is very shallow and not big enough to hold the people using the slide as well as those who wish to swim in the pool without getting caught by someone going down the slide, especially if the pool area and gym area, etc. are going to be shared by two attached hotels.

I like that the hotel was pet friendly.

I didnt like that the waste bin for doggy poop was overflowing.

Spacious, quiet, big tv, comfy bed. Loved the pillows.

Housekeeping never knocked before entering the room, one of the towels was ripped and stained and my room hadnt gotten service in 3 consecutive days despite a request made. One of the bath towels was ripped and stained, too. Also all the dishes were still in the dishwasher when i checked in.

Hotel seemed newer.

I didn't appreciate arriving to full dishwasher that I then had to unload before we could use anything. No daily maid service considering the price didn't seem appropriate. We make a point of making sure that our things are off the beds and counters so there shouldn't be any issues with that. There was no one overseeing the pool. My guess is that there we at least 100 people in the pool, on the slide, in the hot tub, on the sides. It was mayhem and totally not safe. We left and decided to come back later but by then someone had puked in the pool and it was closed. A hot breakfast was advertised (therefore paid for) but apparently the oven wasn't working so we were only offered cereal and muffins.

Breakfast was good. It was a bagged breakfast - we prefer the regular buffet breakfast but it was take and go due to COVID restrictions. We've stayed at Staybridge in Calgary and have always had a great experience.

would have liked the restaurant open for the breakfast but we appreciated the effort.
