Property not as described - very dirty. Appliances (e.g. outdoor TV) that were in the listing did not work. An active bat infestation between the bedroom and living area/bathroom meant the family staying in that bedroom departed early. Marcie offered no reimbursement or compensation other than "clean it up yourself."

The location was excellent, but the managers were slow to answer questions before arrival, particularly about the hot tub, which turned out to be unavailable until the end of the week. There were also some COVID restrictions on the neighborhood which were not detailed ahead of time.

The property has a beautiful view. The house's open floor plan and the outdoor patios are great. The beds could be more comfortable. Unfortunately the geese have overrun the yard making the grass unpleasant to stroll on. All and all we had a very nice stay.

The beach house is on a beautiful property. The house itself was a little quirky in the design and layout. There were quite a few broken items in the house and though mostly clean it lacked a few essential items, like dish towels. The other bummer about the property was there were tons of geese. Where there are tons of geese, there is also tons of geese poop!!! It was everywhere!

The perfect house for a special island. Love that it was right by the oyster company! and the marina! and the winery! not a better location on the island to take in the best spots. quaint, quiet, fun.

Great location for lots of activities. Daily visits to Roche Harbor Resort pool and tennis court. Lots of soaks in the hot tub and fires and someone’s in the fire pit.

Location and home are both terrific. Will visit again. Clean with everything one needs to be comfortable.

The location, property, and water views that enticed us to rent this home were well represented in the advertisement, but the inadequacies we experienced are the reason for this poor review. Without getting into the drama that the owners are having with all their neighbors, I will list the things that were very disappointing considering the price point for this rental. There are no window coverings for the living area of the house. The house has a western exposure so from noon to sunset there is nowhere to go to get out of the blazing sun. The air conditioner is undersized for the home so the temperature in the house never got below 78 degrees during the day!! The furniture is worn out and needs to be replaced, and the beds are awful. The hinge on the refrigerator door was badly damaged and the seal didn't work, so the temperature hovered around 50 degrees or higher. We used coolers we had to keep things cold. The kitchen facet was almost falling off. The bare walls in the living area were littered with nails and picture hanging brackets where pictures and/or other art used to be. The two flimsy plastic home depot garbage cans in the front of the house were furnished with bungee cords to keep the critters out. This setup failed miserably so we were picking up garbage almost every day during our week long stay!! A final point, but one that speaks to the substandard amenities I am pointing out is the toilet paper that was furnished was the cheapest they could possible find and not as good as what is in most public bathrooms!!

We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. Quite location just minutes from the harbor was perfect! Looking forward to visiting again!

We had a mini family reunion there with multiple toddlers and couldn’t have asked more anything more. So much room for the kids to play and great outdoor area to cook and hang out.

Beautiful home! We had a great time and everything was perfect.

We loved the place, the location, and the view, but there were a few frustrations: -It was annoying having to walk like 100 feet to the hot tub, especially at night in the dark. -It was sad to look at the beautiful water and not be able to go near it. (There are fences and signs up everywhere saying to stay away) Othere than that, it was a great place.

Stayed for a very quick two night getaway. I have rented many homes and this home is everything I love in a vacation rental. Immaculate, comfortable and amazing views. I love to be able to get to a home and feel comfortable right away. The outdoor living space is spectacular. The bald eagles and the deer were amazing to watch. Marcie was so easy to deal with from the start. I Had a very small problem when we got there and she was available by phone immediately and we had it solved right away. I just wish I didn't live so far away so I could spend more time at this fabulous place!!

Wow! What a terrific place to gather family, as we did for a special celebration in July. We arrived following about 16 hours traveling and our spirits spiked when we saw this house on the Bay and went inside! It was perfect for our 3-generation group. The teenagers loved the provided kayaks and the other 2 generations loved watching them in the Bay racing, clamming, and generally showing off. Clean, airy, spacious inside and out with plenty of room for our 8 occupants plus 5 other family members staying in a related farmhouse a minute away, who usually gathered here for meals and lounging and fun. The outdoor tv room was perfect for the kids and entertaining before our celebratory "banquet" inside. You never saw such an extensive array of kitchen, cooking, and serving stuff! This attractive house has a broad frontage on Westcott Bay, with expansive, beautiful lawn and adjacent apple orchard. Without being isolated, it offers complete privacy, and it is well stocked with gear for water activities. We loved it!

This place was incredible. We had a group of 9 guys that were attending a wedding in roche harbor and the place was spacious enough for us. Everyone that visited the house want to move in and call it home. The vaulted ceilings, outdoor patio, and great décor made this place amazing. On top of the housing, the staff allowed us to arrive early because we got in on a earlier ferry. The kayaks were great for daytime activity and the hot tub and fire pit were amazing at night. I would definitely stay here again.

This was my surprise for my husband for his 60th birthday. Our family and 4 others for a total of 10. We had a ball. The place is indescribable. It is beautiful and comfortable and loads of fun. Chad was the best to work with. We are anticipating another trip real soon. Convenient to Roche Harbor and Friday Harbor.

This home and property are ideal for a family summer vacation. There is room for quiet, cozy summer reading, and plenty of adventure to be found on the shore just outside. We cooked many of our meals in the fully furnished gourmet kitchen, and also enjoyed fabulous restaurants at nearby Roche harbor. We loved using the kayaks on site, barbecued oysters and made s'mores on the beachside firepit. We zip-lined and whale watched, hiked, and visited the winery and distillery on San Juan island. It was wonderful to come back each day to this perfect home and it's breathtaking views. It really is a dream home in an ideal location. Everyone in our group, ranging ages 2 - 70, loved our stay here and we hope to return.

Our stay at this beach house was amazing. We were a party of 12 and it fit us perfectly. The view looking out to the back was beautiful. Kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of towels and if you are a reader, there are windows lined up with books ..(great idea by the way). Outdoor kitchen is perfect. Overall we had a wonderful experience. Wish we could stay longer.

We had an amazing time. The amenities, the view, the property.. Everything had us floored. The weather was overcast and drizzled much of the time and STILL was completely beautiful. My girlfriend and I cuddled on the giant patio looking out over the bay, we cooked our dinners on their fully outfitted kitchen. The town is a short 15-20 min drive up the road where you can rent tiny cars/mopeds to zip around the island but other than groceries, we had no reason to leave this beach house property. My first choice if I ever go back.

We rented Chad's place for 3 days to celebrate our wedding with family and friends. It was a risk since we never saw the place in person, just the pictures. We lucked out in ways we did not imagine. Of course the weather which was incredibly beautiful did help. But the house is awesome and the location is fantastic. The house is located right on the beach surrounded by an orchard. It is totally quiet (apart from the odd plane taking off from the airport strip about a mile away). The house is beautifully designed (and I am a real stickler when it comes to design). It is equipped with everything you can ever want, top end appliances, great bathrooms, etc. You basically spend a life of luxury in this house and don't have to worry about anything other than cooking. We took out the kayaks, made a huge fire in the fire pit and our celebration could not have been any better. Our friends and family were all blown away by the place. I can highly recommend this house.
