We had such a lovely time. The views were spectacular and although we didn’t cook much, the kitchen was well appointed. The house was perfect for our little family getaway. Couldn’t beat the proximity to the canyon entrance either! We had a great time and definitely hope to be back!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. This is an awesome property with superb management. Highly recommend.

You can see the Balloon Fiesta balloons from the upstairs balcony. There are two trees and a rooftop in the way, so you don't see them take off, but they become visible shortly afterwards. The house itself was just ok. Mostly tile floors downstairs (hate tile) and the temperature controls were hard to figure out. No TV downstairs unless you have your own streaming service subscription.

The house was perfect for visiting Palo Duro! The home was decorated just as you would want for your PDC adventure...rustic, with your own bison head over the wood burning fireplace. Everything you need to cook as you are about 25 minutes from Canyon and restaurants. The home is literally 5 minutes from the gate to PDC. The best part... was the amazing view from almost every room! if you don’t go to the canyon... no worries as you have the best spot to see a vista of the canyon and wildlife. It was truly breathtaking... what a spot! Splurge, if you are considering PDC you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful location and super convenient to the state park!

This was the ultimate weekend getaway for the women of our family. Everything we needed and more was provided. We were so comfortable and so impressed with the hospitality. The views from this cabin are phenomenal. The location and access to the park is so convenient. I just can't say enough how much we enjoyed our time at El Coronado with Doves Rest. We all want to go back!

everything about El Coronado was excellent. Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, spectacular view! Lots of televisions, but we were enjoying the outdoors so much there were no couch potatoes in our group. Highly recommend! Thanks for the champagne and cider!

We hiked every day we stayed and loved coming back to this house. Hot tub was amazing and very clean. Bed was super comfortable. Pictures do not do the view justice. Loved seeing the audad sheep come right up to the house!

This is the 2nd Doves Rest Cabin we stayed at and again we were so pleased. The cabin is very clean and just the perfect place to settle in and admire the gorgeous views of Palo Duro Canyon. Again, we will be back.

Amazing place, beautiful view. This is our second time visiting and we are already planning on going back. Great staff, we had a little issue with the hot tub and I reached out to the manager and someone was there minutes after and got it fixed. it’s just GREAT!

Cabin was well appointed and comfortable. The view has to be the best in the Dove's Rest area. We look forward to returning to the El Coronado to watch more beautiful sunsets.

What a beautiful place and SPECTACULAR view from the western rim of the canyon at dusk and dawn. The colors and shadows in the sky and from the red sandstone border on the hallucinogenic.

Beautiful cabin, perfectly situated on the rim of the canyon. Incredible views. Quiet, peaceful. I cannot believe I’m almost 40 and have never visited this place. We have fallen in love. Great property owners! What an amazing place. We would recommend to anyone.

Location and property were perfect whether you plan on visiting the State Park or not. Excellent!!

Everything was beautiful with fantastic views. Extra things like Champaign and glasses was a nice touch. However the ice maker didn't work or the lights on the hot tub. Management got us ice that night and the next morning. Overall it was great!

Excellent, beautiful, very clean, very nice people in management of the property. I will go back as soon as I can. The only thing was that the hot tub lights weren’t working but EVERYTHING else was PERFECT

The cabin was amazing, the view was incredible. The pictures truly don’t do it justice. We enjoyed dinner and the hot tub in the evening. Later that night my husband and I put the kids to bed and were enjoying a bottle of wine on the patio, when I saw headlights in our driveway. We heard a knock at the door and the local sheriff started talking to me through the large picture windows. Apparently our neighboring cabin was having some kind of domestic dispute and since all of the cabins have the same address he must have just seen ours first. We could the neighboring cabin arguing with the police and asking for their badge numbers, while we continued to enjoy our Cabernet. While the night took a bit of an unexpected turn, the cabin was truly amazing. It was nice waking up to the striking view from the master, and from our patio in the morning we could audibly hear that our neighbors must have made up.

Spent so much time on the back patio enjoying the view. Made a day trip to Palo Duro Canyon State Park because it’s so close. Loved cooking outdoors. Bought steaks and pork chops from WT&M meat market! Only complaint is that the hot tub lights didn’t work and for some reason the electricity would come on and off sporadically throughout our stay. Other than that, it was truly a beautiful place to stay and relax. We highly recommend it.

This is our second stay at one of the Doves Rest properties. They are just fantastic. We loved El Coronado. Everything we needed was there when we got there. The views are just amazing and we loved being in the hot tub under the stars at night. Thoroughly recommended.

Location and view was amazing. House was exactly as described, and stocked well. Really enjoyed the hot tub and view. Lovely and thoughtful extras. Will definitely go again, but possibly in the summer time. We were there over Thanksgiving and the weather and wind was pretty bad (which of course is the chance you take this time of year), so didn’t get to do any hiking or outdoor activities (except the hot tub of course!). In saying that, it was a very relaxing getaway. Very very pleased and strongly encourage others to visit El Coronado at Doves Rest!

We love staying here! We enjoyed relaxing with our college kids for parents' weekend. As always, Dove's Rest cabins exceeded our expectations.

Couldn’t ask for a better view of the canyon. My son and I spent the evenings pointing out where we had walked or peaks we walked near. We spent mornings chilling at the big picture window looking for sheep, coyotes and listening to the morning birds and planning our hiking adventures each day

We had a wonderful time in the cabin. We spent 3 nights and never wanted to leave. The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. Very clean, well-stocked, and the views couldn't be better. Very convenient to the state park, horseback riding, jeep tours, and hiking. We highly recommend staying here.
