Property was well-located, within easy walking distance of multiple restaurants and cafes! Very short drive to multiple hikes and to Tanglewood, in Lenox! Property was clean, lots of amenities like coffee, tea, etc provided. Guestbook was packed full of useful information. Would highly recommend to anyone!

It was a perfect location for us as we were out visiting our daughter who was working between Pittsfield and Stockbridge for the Berkshire Theater Group. The space was great. Bed super comfy. And the outside gardens around the yard were beautiful. We would definitely stay again. Cheers!

We loved!!! this place! Adorable and quaint in the perfect location in Lee, right on Main street, walkable to all. The place was appointed with rustic and charming decor, with beautiful hardwood floors and everything you could need for a weekend! The owners made the check-in simple and we just loved every minute here. We also had our pup with us and she was very comfortable! love the Garden in the back. Our most favorite part was sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine and enjoying the view! We will be back!

Host allowed for easy access. Small conveniently located apartment for 2-3 people. Quirky layout, but all necessities taken care of. A bit dated in decor, but comfortable. Good value.

Property is as advertised. Apartment opens to bedroom, with living room, small kitchenette and bathroom. further into the apartment. It was fine for a short stay. Apartment is in front of building so there is a traffic sound which starts early a.m.

I would happily rent again from this owner. The weekend started off with a horrific trip from our home on Cape Cod due to turnover day traffic and people evacuating in anticipation of Hurricane Henri. The owner was kind enough to find us a vacancy because I had booked the next weekend by mistake. Our Tanglewood concert was canceled because of the potential storm and Joe’s Diner was closed. The only pluses we’re a wonderful meal at the Peruvian restaurant up the street. breakfast at the deli and a very comfortable stay in a clean, quality accommodation.

The layout of the apartment is a bit unusual in that that you enter through the bedroom, but we have stayed here on multiple occasions and found it quite comfortable. The location is great. Lee is near both Jacob's Pillow and Tanglewood, with a number of good restaurants within walking distance.

My wife and I had a great stay. The apartment is right in downtown Lee with plenty of restaurants within a short walk. The Garfield House was perfect for a one week stay for two people.

This is a delightful place. We were looking for a place where we could cook and also have our dog. Cooking is a bit limited only by the size of the kitchen, which is adorable if a bit impractical. The contact-free check-in and -out was wonderful. The owners were kinds an very responsive. It's on a busy street, and the owners have provided a sound generator next to the bed for those with trouble sleeping with street noise. The location is otherwise fantastic, with several locally owned restaurants and shops within walking distance, and much to do in the area.

This quaint home was just what I needed to get away during my holiday break. Softest linens I've ever slept in, we were within walking distance of a great breakfast place and good location to just take walks if you didn't want to drive somewhere.

Right on Main St. in Lee with good eateries close by. We're partial to Starving Artist ( great crepe selections). Convenient to Lenox, Stockbridge, Mass Pike. Jacobs ladder. Unit is as described , with comfy bedroom as you enter from front porch. We plan to use this again for our summer visit to Tanglewood and the Rockwell Museum. Enjoy!

The apartment we stayed in, Dolly, was perfect. Within walking distance of anything in Lee and Lee is the perfect spot to stay in this area. Also, the shower was great.

We have stayed here before. Everything was quite convenient and landlord Jeff Canon was very helpful. We would certainly stay here again (if we could figure out how to get the internet TV to work). The unit is clean and comfortable. The layout is a little unconventional in that the entrance is directly into the bedroom, but the front porch is a great place to relax.

This apartment was exactly what we were looking for. Very clean. Great location.

Kind of funky entrance from the front door into the bedroom. They tell you to use the back door as a fire exit only. The back door is much closer to the parking area, but you have to lug your luggage around to the front. I loved the living room and bathroom. Really felt like you were in an old New England residence. They warn you about road noise, but never heard anything. Double pane windows and solid core doors did the job. We used the ac as it was unseasonably warm. Not sure if it would be effective in summer. The "kitchen" was minimal. Okay for warming but no way to cook. Location was great, close to restaurants. The 1970's shag carpet needs replacement. The futon couch will never be clean. Needs replacement. We had just come from an impeccably clean Cape Cod Cottage so comparisons might make me rate this lower than others might. I generally liked the place but my wife wanted something better taken care of. Need to replace batteries in tv remote. Bed is soft but I slept okay. Great place for visiting the area. Parking is safe. No way "elegant".

I stayed for 4 days and had a lovely visit. The house is well-located, very close to restaurants downtown. There is some street noise, as it's the main drag for the town, but it wasn't terrible. Jeff and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. They seem to regularly have long-term, repeat guests.

Excellent value for a short stay in the Berkshires. Comfortable, clean, perfectly located in the area, easy parking and access. Those wanting a Marriott can pay triple the price and shouldnt come here. Joes Diner three minutes away on foot offers a Norman Rockwell experience in the 21st century.

The apartment was very well located and very clean. The furniture was old, and the futon/couch in the living room was not at all comfortable for sitting. We couldn't get the TV to work, the one window air conditioner didn't keep up with the extraordinary heat wave, and to get to the far side of the double bed one had to squeeze by. Wifi was intermittent and didn't work well in the bedroom. Bed was comfortable, yard was lovely, and the apartment was serviceable but not extraordinary. Also, uneven front steps are a hazard! A good price for July 4th in the Berkshires. We loved all the culture--Jacob's Pillow, Tanglewood, theaters, and museums. Great shops and restaurants available too.

Great place to stay in a great little town! Property is very clean and equipped for 2 a 4 people... only downside is that the TV and the fireplace insert didn't work - wasn't much of an inconvenience for us, but could have been for someone else.

This apartment was very neat, very homey, really cute and clean. We met the owners and they were so nice. Lynn brought us many up to date brochures and her husband talked with us about hiking and golfing in the area, things that we were interested in doing. Lynn put fresh mums on the porch, (and we enjoyed sitting out there after being on the go all day), there was some fresh fruit and flowers on the table when we arrived - all nice touches - very welcoming. The location was great - we had a terrific golf course - Cranwell - only minutes away. We could walk into the town of Lee and there were some excellent restaurants there. Had a great time and highly recommend this rental.

Beautiful 1 bedroom apartment in a large 19th century colonial home. Well appointed furnishings, our dog was welcome and perfectly comfortable during our stay. Walking distance to restaurants and shops in Lee and just a few miles from Tanglewood and downtown Lenox. We hope to be back for another relaxing weekend in the country!

This was a quaint and charming one bedroom place with a lot of character. It was spacious with a fair amount of natural light. Apart from the bedroom, the living cum dining area has a nice big couch that, I think, can be converted into a bed. The bathroom is pretty large too. Although the kitchen was small, it had some of the standard appliances like a fridge (small), microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven. It did not have a cooking ring/range nor any pots & pans -- so not really fit for cooking. However, the place was well stocked with crockery, cutlery, tea/coffee etc. There was also no dearth of closet space. My favorite part of the house was the porch with the lounge seats. The location of the apartment was perfect -- right on the Main Street of Lee but at the same time, at some distance from the shops. This allowed us to sit on the porch, read, relax, people watch without having to deal with the constant hum of foot traffic. Both Jeff (the owner) and John (the caretaker) were wonderful to interact with. Caring, thoughtful and very responsive. Overall, a perfect getaway for the weekend. Would love to go back again.

We had scouted Garfield House when staying elsewhere in Lee last year. We already knew it was a great location for us (convenient to Jacob's Pillow and Tanglewood and near to many good restaurants in Lee), so we decided to book it when we saw the price. The layout of the unit is a bit unusual and the kitchenette a little cramped, but it was easy to adjust The porch on Lee's main street was a relaxing place to spend some time while deciding where to go for dinner. We are a couple in our early 70's who have been going to the Berkshires for more than 40 years,staying in many different places, and we would likely book Garfield House again, if we could. Owner Jeff Canon was gracious and helpful.

The "Dolly" is a charming apartment in the heart of the Berkshires. We are a couple in our 60s. We planned our 5 day stay around a visit to Tanglewood for the Four Voices concert. The apartment is very comfortable, and well stocked. The kitchenette is small, but had everything we needed for coffee and breakfast..We planned to eat our other meals out. I would recommend this property!
