We stayed for three nights with Andrea and her lovely family and team and had a wonderful time. We truly enjoyed the layout of the house which provides so much space outside of your own room be it our balcony, the shared terrace, the yoga shala that we could use at any time or the restaurant. The food for breakfast was amazing - a perfect Start into everyday. Andrea made sure that we had everything we need and was always up for a chat and had great recommendations for us what to do in the area and where to go next. If you are looking for a place in Mirissa that’s a bit away from the noise of the big street but where you can still walk easily to the beach or one of the many restaurants the Jungle view is perfect. Thanks for having us! We would come back any times.

Friendly staff, very helpful also with local contacts for tours like whale watching. Amazing and tasty food. Very cosy and lovely surroundings even with some monkeys in the trees.

In the early mornings sometimes a bit noisy because of the animals in the trees - but that's the "jungle". Still improving the Wifi quality. The room could have had a bit more furniture like a couch or table.

Loved how spacious the room and balcony were. Breakfast was perfect, and staff were kind and helpful. The bathroom was large and had plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable, and the view from the balcony was very nice.

There was an aggressive dog belonging to the hotel that ran towards us one night barking loudly when we came in. I think they need to tie it up at night, as it was intimidating. It is a nice place to stay, but it was not good value for money. For 50 dollars a night, I expect a kettle, hairdryer and luggage rack, but we had none of these things in our room.

Beautiful location.Anoj(owner) and his family were very friendly. they warmly welcomed us and treated us very well during our stay. also he gave some tips about the nearby attractions and restaurants. it was helpful. my favorite part of this place was breakfast. it was different experience. they had verity of healthy breakfast options and it was delicious. The location is in walking distance from Coconut tree hill,Parrot rock and Mirissa beach. hope to visit again.

the location is near to the beach and restaurants. But we recommend to use the restaurant in the jungle view. very clean very good wifi really nice staff very cheap for the service we have been provided. really good value for money.

The family who run this accommodation was really awesome! They helped for everything and had a answer to all our questions. It feels like in the middle of the jungle. The breakfast and also the food there was really good! You should try both.

Room was comfortable and the property is nestled in an area that's a comfortable distance away from the main road but not too far to make it inconvenient to reach the main beach in Mirissa. Surrounded by lush vegetation, it actually felt like staying in the woods. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delectable.

A generator to power the fans at least, if not the ACs, would have been a great bonus, considering the long power cuts Sri Lanka is currently grappling with.

This is such a great place we loved it! - Excellent location in the quiet jungle but just a two minute walk to the beach. - Everything is new and clean, it looks even better in real life than the pictures. - Friendly, kind and helpful staff. - Amazing breakfasts, all local and homemade. There’s even a Mediterranean menu with homemade hummus. - Sitting on our balcony watching the animals in the trees was the perfect end to our trip.

A very clean Jungle experience close to the busy areas of Miriassa but far off the noisy main street. We had a pleasant stay at this modern house that is hosted by a lovely young family. We really enjoyed it.

An amazing place in the jungle run by the friendliest family. This place makes you feel very relaxed as its away from the busy main road, yet still walking distance to the beach. You can definitely feel the jungle vibes here and spot many wild animals (monkeys, iguanas, exotic birds....). Nothing bad to say about this place! The hosts will help you with booking day trips or transportation if you need

The location is amazing. It feels like I. The middle of the jungle and still you are close to the beach. The owners are super nice and help you with whatever you need. The food is delicious. Breakfast was superb! We had a brilliant time!

The family which own the loccation is really kind and friendly, gave us great tips and pretty good interaction. The rooms are clean with AC and fan. The bathroom are modern and clean. You can have a large choice of breakfast (srilankan, continental, muesli bowl,...), same for the other meal since they also do restaurant, all is made at the accomodation and the quality of the food is exceptional, it also offer a large choice of vegan/vegetarian meal. The view from the restaurant is amazing and give you a view on the surounding jungle. The hotel is far enough from the main road to avoid the traffic noise.

Everything was perfect! The breakfast was delicious; the location was close to ocean and food places; the room was spacious and nice. The stuff people were very kind and helpful, helped us a lot with taxi in advance and PCR tests. The jungle view, thank you for this experience!

In summary: we couldn't recommend staying here more highly!! Monara and his wife and family were very welcoming and lovely to us from start. We wanted to experience staying in a guest house during our 2-week holiday in Sri Lanka and are soooo pleased we stayed at Monara's guest house in Mirissa. Location - just off the main road in Mirissa, very close to the beach and a number of the main bars and restaurants. Room - very clean, spacious and truly a "jungle view", without being far from the main sites in Mirissa. The room has it's own balcony where we sat for breakfast every morning, often being visited by animals roaming in the trees. Food - the breakfast was one of best we had in Sri Lanka, and we stayed at much higher-price resorts during our travels in the country! The curd at breakfast was the best I tried in Sri Lanka. We also paid for Monara's mother to cook a traditional Sri Lankan chicken curry for us and it was absolutely delicious! Owners - Monara and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. They kindly helped us arrange our whale watching tour and snorkell gear rental. We are so glad we stayed at Monara's guest house and would highly recommend staying here.

This accommodation was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean with a lovely balcony where we had breakfast every morning, interrupted only by the sound of birds singing and the family dogs coming to say good morning. The accommodation is set back off the main road (approximately 10 minute stroll) along a peaceful lane, although the final approach is a short steep hill (we are both 57 and managed this comfortably). The host family were welcoming and friendly always happy to help and chat. This was our last stop before returning home and although the town is busy this accommodation was a quiet and peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of town. The town itself has a lovely long beach with the usual beach bars and restaurants, all offering superb hospitality and happy hours which last longer than 60 minutes. We found each end of the beach more to our taste as the bars were much quieter but you were only a stones throw from the music and lively entertainment which we enjoyed from a distance. You could probably spend a month in this town and never eat in the same restaurant twice - the choice is ridiculous. Our flight home was 2.15am, we had originally decided to catch a train back to Negombo where we would hang out before getting a taxi to the airport. Our host very kindly said we could stay in the room and take a taxi directly to the airport at 9pm allowing us to enjoy a full day and showering just before leaving for home without charging us for this - this was a very generous gesture and much appreciated by ourselves, although it really wasn't a surprise to us because of the relaxed, friendly nature of the host family. I would happily stay in this accommodation again should we ever return and I would happily recommend this accommodation to others. I would like to say THANK YOU to our host family for their hospitality and for helping to make wonderful memories of Sri Lanka for us.
