This was a great property for a girls trip with my sister. Location was perfect! Easy walk or drive to restaurants, shops and the water. Breathtaking scenery steps from the property. Full kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and a bath offered plenty of room to spread out. Street parking was easy to find. If we make our way back to Maine, we would definitely stay here again! We enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood, the proximity to the waterfront and neighborhood stores. It was a bit cumbersome getting to the third floor with luggage and we had some issues with the door lock. Also, the apartment could have been a little larger. The bustling downtown was a good walk away but doable, at least for us. We liked walking along the Westside waterfront, which was busy with activities.

This property was just as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. It has a welcoming feel. My wife and our friends were very impressed!!! The location was perfect. Short (but hilly) walks to the East End Promenade, East End business on Washington, and the the Old Port. Check in was a breeze. We are already talking about a return trip! Highly recommended!

Nice 3rd floor apartment … just 2 flights of stairs, so not bad. Well furnished and equipped rental. Walking distance to Portland Observatory (a must see!), a beach and the Eastern Promenade. Downtown area 1.5 miles if you’re up for a walk. Would definitely recommend is you’re looking to stay on Munjoy Hill.

I have rented many VRBO’s in the past and never had a problem. It started when I had to contact VRBO hours before to check in to get the access information. I had reached out to the host days before and heard nothing. We got in but had problems locking the door that night. Multiple calls, texts and emails went unanswered. Contacted VRBO again and they got no response. The host contacts us the next morning and told us to leave and we would get a refund. We check into a hotel and then host reneges on the offer. Host called us liars and said we checked back in. We contact VRBO again and got a partial refund. The place wasn’t bad but the aggravation wasn’t worth it.

Really well appointed apartment with everything we needed and more . Alison is a very responsive host and delightful to work with. Air conditioning was much appreciated during a summer heatwave! Just blocks off the promenade, Jin Jang , Front Room, markets, coffee and more. The only downsides are walk up is challenging with large suitcases and while bed in 2BR is super comfy, it is crammed into slanted ceiling and cannot comfortably sleep 2 people. Apartment is best suited for no more than 3 people. Overall we loved our stay here and highly recommend!

Our second visit to the property. Charming and conveniently located, nestled in a quiet neighborhood steps from the Eastern Prom and it’s stately Victorian homes. If you are an early riser, you can watch the sunrise over Casco Bay from the living room windows. The owner, Allyson, is the perfect hostess.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Munjoy Hill in Portland. The location is perfect....close enough to walk to all that Portland offers, but away from the hubbub for a quiet night to unwind with a glass of wine on the deck. We were also a short drive to the beauty that this seaside town offers. Allyson's property will not disappoint!

We loved everything about this place—the neighborhood, the ease of arrival/departure, parking on street was easy, unit was spotless and had a well-equipped kitchen. We particularly loved walking to dinner every night to the downtown center of Portland, even though there are many many restaurants in the neighborhood.

We loved staying in Allyson’s apartment. It was a fantastic location and well equipped apartment. Allyson was super responsive and helpful. The view from the apartment was incredible and we were super close to everything we wanted to do. We had a great stay!

Beautiful apartment in an ideal location. Apartment was well appointed and very clean. Nice views in the morning and no problems parking when we were there. Owner was also easy to contact when necessary. One thing to note is that the space is not for 2 adult couples. Despite there being 2 large beds the one bed is next to a slanted wall that makes it impossible for two people to use the bed. Our group of four consisted of one couple, one single adult and a child. The child slept on the couch which worked out fine.

Very clean and elegantly decorated, but we had the impression from the listing that it was a second floor apt. It's third floor so lots of steps and some awkward spaces, particularly the second bedroom, but we enjoyed the bay view from little porch and charming back yard. Nicely equipped kitchen with lots of thoughtful inclusions.

You could smell how clean it was when you walked in the door. It’s in a great location, we walked everywhere. I would definitely recommend this cute place.

We had a great 3 night stay, the apartment was very comfortable and as description, ample room and facilities for the two of us. Easy to get into harbor area in the car and close to a couple of nice restaurants, we especially liked the Front Room eatery which was full of locals and had good food. Only slight blip was we had to park rental car next block down one night as no space close by. Other than that a very enjoyable stay.

We definitely recommend this wonderful place. The only issue is the second bedroom slopes ceiling over the bed is so close to the mattress that it really is not suited for two people. Our fourth member of the group was very uncomfortable.

Nice view, clean and comfortable

Charming 2 bedroom within walking distance of everything you might like to do in Portland. Great neighborhood eateries and one block from the path along the Promenade. This is a three story walk up so if you don’t want to do steps, this is not for you. However, the views from the top floor are terrific and we enjoyed having morning coffee on the porch. Sunrises are also spectacular.

Very clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of everything one may need. Great little restaurants within walking distance and a nice view of the water just down the street. Didn't realize it was a third floor walkup, but we managed nicely.

Everything about this stay was wonderful! Allyson was easily available for the few questions we had. The place was adorably decorated and very clean. The location was great. We walked down to the old port and took Uber back (totally walkable but it was 90 and humid and the walk back is uphill a bit). The outdoor porch is great. There were a few bees going into a little crevice which we let Allyson know about, she promptly responded that she would take care of it. We loved having coffee out there in the mornings. So relaxing. Plenty of on street parking but pay attention to the signs. The beds were super comfortable, the bedding appeared new and was nice, as were the bath towels. We left here for a place in Boston which wasn’t nearly as nice as Allyson’s and when we returned to Portland we text Allyson just to see if by any chance she had any cancellations which sadly she didn’t. We had everything we needed here and would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you again, Allyson!

Overall the best place we have stayed. Only one thing I found to be annoying “parking” there was none. Ended up having to park 2blocks away during the whole stay. Over all otherwise place was clean great area. Everything in walking distances thank goodness for that.

Girls getaway and this place was perfect! Enjoyed the little deck off of one of the bedrooms and it is so close to so much of Portland! Allyson was great too....easy check in and easy access. The only thing I would note is that we stayed on the 3rd floor which you have to climb some narrow, steep stairs to get to. When moms pack for a girl getaway we tend to overpack and those suitcases were heavy going up the stairs!

We enjoyed our stay in Portland in the Munjoy Hill neighborhood. It was one of the many older homes with character, brick walkways, flower gardens, community gardens, and within walking distance to the Front Porch restaurant, Shipyard Brewery and the harbor. We felt at home in the apartment and the decor was very nice. Enjoyed sitting on the little 3rd floor porch feeling the sea breeze.

Darling rental in a hip neighborhood by the Casco Bay. We walked everywhere - views, restaurants, pathways, a small beach, in an great part of the city. It’s quiet yet close to everything. Allyson is a thoughtful and conscientious host with wonderful attention to detail. One tip, it’s nice and bright in the mornings so just bring an eye shade if you need it super dark to sleep.
