I never got tired of enjoying the view from the living room, dining room or patio - morning or evening. We even saw otters and sea lions frolicking in the sea. The weather was amazing and we enjoyed walks along the ocean each day and explored Natural Bridges. Kitchen was well stocked. Safeway and downtown we’re nearby. Updated carpet and furniture would’ve made the experience 5 star.

This lovely updated 4 Bedroom rental has an open floor plan on the upper level. Windows with three directional views from living room, kitchen and dining area. Nice deck. The deck has clear wind screens. Kitchen well stocked. The whole house is decorated, but not cluttered. We were there and Front row seating for King title waves of Dec.2023. There is a temporary one-way abutter access due to temporary road repairs. . Walking and negotiating packing an unpacking for multi-family stay needed.. That section of W.Cliff Drive is a tourist destination. So a steady flow of pedestrians, bicycles, and when road fixed, I imagine car traffic when road fixed. Makes for good people watching. Good wifi, back yard. Two lower-level bedrooms have back yard access. Master upstairs, sight ocean view. Two very large bathrooms and a half-bath. We absolutely loved our stay! It’s close to town, museums, lots to do, or just stay in and enjoy the amazing view.

We were a party of 7, and enjoyed our stay. Was a very nice place and we would stay again. Only issue was there wasn't enough wash clothes, but we managed. In addition, windows were a bit dirty, but it was very foggy.

Over the weekend we started discovering things about the home that were so disappointing.The home is tired, worn & deserves much needed TLC. Things such as dirty, grimy cabinets in the kitchen w/ a film that was so awful in places you didn't want to touch them. There are no handles on the cabinets making them grimy from usage. There was only one frying pan.There's just a mish-mash of stuff all cluttered in the cabinets. The walls throughout the home are extremely dirty, peeling wallpaper, furniture in the living room is so dirty/worn. Beds are uncomfortable; the master bed makes noise when you even slightly move, pillows are old and flat. There are NO screens on any of the windows in the home. It was a warm and humid weekend so windows had to be open which led to being bit my mosquitos. The windows were filthy t/o, patio was dirty. The two big brown rugs, one in master & living room are awful. The one in the master smelled so bad of dog urine it was hard to be in there. When we lifted them up there were multiple stains on both rugs. There's more, but the point is this place needs TLC. I let the owner know when we checked out how disappointed we were but NO response. I called VRBO, sent photos & I realize nothing will be done. They said we should've called when we checked in but these are things you don't notice right away. Unfortunate for us, a lot of $ spent...disappointing.

Sn amazing property with a balcony facing the ocean which was our favorite spot. Nice to be above the interesting parade of people. Aldo loved the back with the bocci ball court. No extra parking made getting together v with others a bit challenging but easy to find extra street parking on nearby side street. All in all, a great beach house.

Had a great family reunion!! Some members came from Canada and stayed at hotels near by. So much to do, and this house was within walking distance to the pier, the boardwalk and Natural Bridges State park!

We had a perfect stay at Oceanfront SC Beach House!

We enjoyed our stay and the views and the location. I did not like the long staircase needed to go in and out since I am crippled and it is a big extra effort. The place was well equipped for meal preparation.

We had a wonderful time. The view and location is exceptional. Comfortable beds, showers are lovely, lots of room, clean, and a well stocked kitchen, except for spices. Thank you for the wine and sharing your home.

Overall the location and accommodations were very good but the beginning of the stay was "eventful." When we arrived at our accommodations we noticed a smell of gas. After calling the property manager and owners we ended up calling PG & E ourselves. After their investigation it was determined there was a gas leak in the wall above the stove. It was an inconvenience but the owners and vrbo where very helpful it fixing the leak as quickly as possible and making sure we had a pleasant stay in Santa Cruz. They couldn't have been more helpful in making a potentially terrible stay into a very nice vacation.

The house was exactly what we had hoped. Excellent views of the ocean. The upstairs bed was super comfy. You could easily hear the ocean day and night. The bathrooms were updated. The kitchen was well appointed. We would stay again.

We had a great time at the house and in Sanata Cruz. There were 8 of us, our three kids (15-24) and their friends. The lower level has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom, the master is upstairs. The configuration worked well for us. There was a huge storm while we were there, the street closed and we lost power for a few hours. The view of the ocean was phenomenal and we were not evacuated. 1) We should have brought binoculars to see the sea otters, 2) I would recommend that a stash of flashlights and candles be left somewhere in the house or garage in case of emergency, 3) we had trouble getting the TV to connect to a computer (due to the location of the cords and connection to the wall). We finally got it set up to stream on the second night, but a smart TV would be a useful upgrade.

This is our second stay at this location. Perfect location for what we want, easy access to walking along ocean, beach access, watching surfers, church, board walk etc. The house is well equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay. Owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. It would be nice to have a newer grill. We will stay here again.

Unbeatable view. Lovely spacious house. Perfect location close to beaches. Easy check in and check out. East communication with the owner. We have stayed here multiple times and have never had a bad experience.

This home is so well located and views are stunning. A very large upstairs area with views all around. The kitchen is pretty well equipped but no real spices. Most of the beds are very comfortable, one needs a new mattress. Great to have lots of family games, a few tvs and beach towels available. Some areas are very worn, and it needs some TLC but really the views and location is why you want this place.

Spacious, well equipped home with great ocean views. Had a comfortable, relaxing long weekend with the family. Thanks Merc, we will be back if you'll have us.

Our entire family truly enjoyed this location. We had beautiful views and plenty of space to spread out.

The house worked great for us! Close to the wedding we were attending at The Hollins House and to the Boardwalk and Wharf, which we visited with the grandkids! Rooms were comfortable and met our needs. Lots of great walks from this location and parking not a problem at all. Only complaint by the cooks in the house was that the fry pans were not non stick and were difficult to use even with Pam, butter or oil! Made waffles, (appreciated the waffle iron) but could have used a griddle for pancakes which the grandkids love!

Property was as advertised. The host was very accommodating and the check in/ check out process were easy. The kitchen and carpets/rugs could use some updating. Overall, great!

We enjoyed the spacious home. Plenty of room for all of us. There are so many windows from which to view the gorgeous coastline. The homeowner provided a lot of games, books, and DVDs. Lots of extra towels, including beach towels. This house has lots of storage and also lots of wall outlets/plugs for easy recharging of devices. We had a lovely four days here.

Parking great. Views of ocean great. The deck and living room dining table great views of the ocean. Bocci court needs some care but we had a great time with it nevertheless. Beds below average comfort. Master bed very noisy.Beaches we’re further than we thought were advertised. Bbq was small and dated for such a nice place. back yard not not a large enough dining table. Should have baby gate available,

A home that lets you enjoy the beauty of the coast. Home size perfect and location to beach outstanding. Had a great time and the dog beach was the frosting on the cake.

The house was amazing! We loved waking up in the morning to the view of the ocean. The house was peaceful and quiet but you could still feel the power of the ocean. Our golden retriever loved the dog beach where we spent a lot of time. Close to downtown and the boardwalk but we only dropped our teens off there once.

Beautiful view. Lock to balcony did not work. Bocce Ball court was not useable. Mattresses and pillows were bad. We are to do dishes and put them away (not sure why I paid for housekeeping). We had to hand wash dishes before we left. The dishwasher takes too long. People previously did not always get the dishes clean.
