Had a wonderful father and son trip to Oakland and San Francisco. The apartment was in a perfect location and had everything we needed! Thank you to the hosts!

We had a great stay at this home. Upper level of the house is comfortable and quiet. Plenty of space. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Wi-Fi is strong. No issues with on-street parking. Walkable to grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, pharmacies and hardware.
Susie is a helpful and friendly host. We’ve stayed her before while visiting family in the neighborhood and look forward to future visits.

This is my second time staying at Susie's, and I'll be back again if she'll have me! Check in is easy, communication is super prompt, the place is clean and well-stocked with conveniences. The space is large, couldn't be better located, and has everything you need for a great stay. 5 stars!

Convenient location - easy access to Berkeley and BART
A group of us playing with the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers came in from the Northwest. This location was close to other band members and just a few blocks to restaurants, coffee and Trader Jo's. Easy access to BART for our San Fran concert.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Susie’s place. She was extremely responsive to any of our questions or requests and was very communicative regarding issues around the extreme weather which caused power outage etc. Our son is disabled and she was very accommodating with access to the apartment.

Lovely spot in Oakland
This a spacious, private 2 bedroom flat in a duplex with a private entrance. The Rockridge neighborhood is quite and walkable to the Temescal area in Oakland. It was a perfect setup for a week long stay.

Homey Rockridge apt
Very convenient location and easy walk to Rockridge Bart and stores. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Wonderful area to stay if you want to be in Oakland.

Great Oakland stay
This place was perfect for out stay. Close to our daughter's place, close to all types of restaurants, close to the BART. Best stocked pantry we've ever come across. Susie was generous and wanted to make sure we were comfortable and had any kind of info we needed. We will definitely return.

Graduation stay in May
Great location, very nice owner. The floorplan was awesome; as were amenities; however, there was no central heat and the weather was chilly so difficult to regulate space heaters for comfort. Also bathroom is very small, especially given that we had 4 guests. The space, otherwise, easily and well accommodated our group.

Great place to stay in Oakland!
Susie was a great host at her apartment near the Rockridge BART and Market Hall. Her kitchen was well stocked and the place is filled with cozy areas and lots of books! I am developing an artisan food business and Susie has (literally) written the book on the subject! I look forward to staying again when I next visit my daughter in Oakland.

Terrific property and gracious owner!
This property was perfect for our trip. It was walking distance to the family we were visiting, which was extremely convenient (no rental car needed!). The apartment is very roomy and wonderfully furnished. The bedrooms are very spacious and have plenty of closet and storage space. Susie had the kitchen equipped with necessities (coffee!!!) so we didn't have to go to the grocery store. I slept in the back room on the sleeper sofa, which was very comfortable. Susie was a fantastic host! Very gracious and welcoming. She checked in with me every day to make sure everything was going well. Susie's property will stay on my list of places to stay for the next time I visit Oakland. I would highly recommend Susie's property to others staying in the area.

Cute apartment
Super cute apartment, great location close to Bart and shops. I stay in hotels a lot and it was nice to have a full kitchen, a washing machine, and lots of space. Susie is a great host, very friendly and happy to help with anything.

Truly home away from home!
First and foremost, Susie is a marvelous host - warm, gracious, detail oriented and very considerate. Her space is apartment size, light, comfortable and with all necessities. We all slept soundly each night! Perfect area for exploring the East Bay as well as the city. Within walking distance to grocery, restaurants & shopping. We had a wonderful visit and would return to stay with Susie anytime!

Great location, quiet, good value, nice owner
Great location, close to Bart and College St! apartment is comfortable and has good appliances and sitting area. It’s a good value for the $. Susie is very friendly and accommodating. Only 2 FYIs (we didn’t care, but some might): the back bedroom is a pull out couch (should you have back issues), and you can hear between bedrooms (there is a window with a curtain).

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient
Very homey and comfortable, a completely furnished apartment. Hostess was always available and very helpful and timely with instructions. Sofa bed in second bedroom was the most comfortable one I've ever used. Ample street parking was available without restrictions and the neighborhood generally seemed as quiet as a cemetery. Nearby Rockridge, Temescal and Piedmont commercial districts provide convenient and varied restaurant options and the proximity (1/2 mile) to the Rockridge Bart station made venturing into the city a breeze. It is generous-sized second-floor unit with both inside and outside stairways. It is well equipped and meets or exceeds all of the usual VRBO requirements. I would have no reservations about staying here again.

Californiana and comfort!
My husband and I just stayed in this marvelous place and would definitely try to reserve it again the next time we come to Oakland to visit our grandchildren. This spacious apartment was so comfortable. It offered us everything imaginable. I can't list all the amenities that greeted us in every room, but just to give you an idea, the kitchen included espresso machine, coffee grinder, toaster, microwave, oven, and every kind of cookware and utensil.
There were fascinating posters, paintings, and collections throughout, but with all this, the place was not cluttered. Our children and grandchildren visited and weren't crowded in the least! The hostess and neighborhood were lovely. Need I say once again that we would give this place a 5 star rating?

Susie's place in Rockridge was the perfect place for my daughter and I to live for a month while she attended a summer art program at CCA. From the moment we arrived until we left, Susie was warm, friendly and helpful. We felt right at home in her beautifully decorated flat which was well appointed with basic food items, cooking supplies, toiletries and washer/dryer! We were delighted to discover that everything we desired was in walking distance - restaurants, bookstores, grocery stores, farmers' market, a fantastic yoga studio, hardware store, Bart, and of course for us, California College of the Arts. We will definitely be back!
