Had a great time fishing and spending time with family. Got to enjoy the dolphin right off the deck most days. Saw tons of stingray and a sea turtle! The house is beautiful and everything as described

We are locals who just wanted a nice quiet place to stay and relax. This home was perfect for us! Inside is well appointed and spacious. Decorated with a serene beach side theme. Outside is outstanding! Beautiful views. Spectacular Sunsets and native wildlife including dolphins who come right up to the dock. We did not have a boat but it would be a great spot for those that do. As I said I am a local whose lived here 37 years. I love Clearwater Beach and that surrounding area but this home is superior in being lovely and comfortable away from the noise. However it is located near the action and awesome restaurants too. We intend to go back!

My family of 5 (3 teen girls) had a relaxing week in Hernando beach. The house had a master bedroom a guest room with a queen bed and a bonus room with 2 full size mattress so all girls had their own bed. Pool and hot tub worked and we spent a lot of time there and under the covered patio. We used the kayaks in the channel and saw dolphin, manatees, and lots of rays. Beaches in the area are rocky and need to drive 1 hr to get to a good beach. This is a great spot for a low key relaxing stay.

This house is awesome. The garage was full of construction materials, but it seemed like the bathroom was recently renovated so hopefully that is a temporary issue. The beds are comfortable. The water pressure is great. There is no bathtub. I think the listing indicates there is a tub (not an issue for us, but might be for people traveling with small children). The major problem was with the host charging for the propane to heat the hot tub. This was not in the listing (and I reviewed it thoroughly). When I refused to pay the request after checkout (and contacted vrbo to explain the issue), the host charged it as a damage to the property and it billed to my card. I challenged it with my credit card and informed the host that the listing did not indicate that the hot tub was heated with propane or that the cost of using the hot tub would be in addition to the total rental cost. She admitted that the listing did not disclose the information. She then requested payment for the pet fee. I booked the property using a link she sent that, per her message, included the pet fee. I quoted her message back to her and stated that I have already paid that fee. She has yet to cancel the payment request. In short, the property is great but not worth the headache after check out.

We enjoyed our weekend at this rental. The property description is accurate. We liked the pool and the fact that we could keep our boat right at the dock. The ride out to the open gulf is literally only 5 minutes. There’s a washer/dryer, and everything you need in the kitchen to cook with. Even though the home is dated, it was clean and comfortable for my family. I’d definitely recommend this house to others. Brittany S.

The house was clean and fully equipped. We enjoyed the pool, dock for fishing and patio area for hanging out. We rented a boat from Hernando marina and enjoyed fishing and snorkeling in the gulf. We will be back! Thank you!

Perfect location on the water! The pool is great! There are a ton of sugar ants and the host should be avoided. Avoid any property in the area hosted by Carol.

We visited for a weekend getaway and it was wonderful. The house was perfect and we loved the pool and the view. We will definitely visit again.

What a wonderful time we had vacationing in your home. Our 3 grandchildren had a blast. Fishing, swimming and relaxing in the hot tub. It was wonderful having the pool and we spent the week outside. A dolphin swam right out around the dock and they had a blast fishing. We went over to Clearwater and had a beach/ pier fishing day. We loved our trip.

Thank you to Carol and Bill for making this years stay a wonderful escape from the cold and snowy northern US winter. The house and it’s amenities completely met our needs. We are looking forward to staying a little longer next year (winter 2023). Bill and Carol are always only a phone call away should we need anything. Awesome location, very quiet and peaceful. Quick and easy access to the gulf. Kayaking right from the dock to the gulf was easy and so much fun. Clean and very comfortable place to stay. Loved it!!

Property was lacking maintenance and proper upkeep. Gutters do not have down spouts of any sort and during a storm drained near bedroom windows, sounding like a loud bath tub faucet. Found cockroaches, reached out to property manager, who sent out a maintenance guy. Informed us it was not a big deal as those were Palmetto bugs, not cockroaches. PALMETTO BUGS ARE COCKROACHES.....location was amazing with great views. Saw a dolphin and stingrays in the canal, and my son had an amazing time fishing all week, so that part of the trip was great. Property just needs quite a bit of updating and maintenance.

Wonderful ambiance! The home was cozy and perfectly suited our needs. Spent a lot of time by the pool and hot tub. The hot tub is fantastic. Large, comfortable and a great view! Initially needed a little reassurance regarding the hot tub instructions and Bill was literally on site within 20 minutes! I had a few additional questions and Bill responded quickly each time. The dock was perfect for our boat. Access to the gulf is easy. Kitchen is stocked with the basic spices and seasonings, soaps, cookware and serving items. Will definitely be back!!!

First of all, I would like to say that my 2 sisters, my husband and myself enjoyed our stay. It was awesome being close and having our daughter and grandchildren over to celebrate Christmas with us. The house is very well situated in a location near to many things that we needed during out stay. Overall, the house was very nice. It is in some need of some updates and cleaning. Such as worn-out mops that are evidently the reason for some areas needing cleaning. There were a few things that we needed, like big bowls to serve with and stuff, so we picked them up at Goodwill and left them as we felt they would help the next visitors. There was plenty of sitting area, which was very helpful on Christmas morning, so we all had room to open our gifts. The host and the maintenance man were VERY accommodating like when we had a couple questions on the fireplace and the pool. Carol answered almost immediately and Bill was over there in a snap. That was very appreciated. We understand that the lawn is new and needed to be watered daily and so we assume that is why Bill was there every day, although, I must say, it did make it seem like we were not trusted and was being watched. If I was asked, would I stay there again…. Most definitely, Would I recommend it…. Yes, I would. Just because there are some areas that need updating and repairs, does not take away for the time we got to stay there and relax and enjoy the sun and the scenery.

We had a wonderful stay. We rented this home with another home down the street for extended family. This worked out great for us and we loved the pool and dock. Very easy access to the channel for boating. Carla T.

The house was great. Nice quite neighborhood. Really nice folks in town. Good food. Only thing we would have done differently was to have stayed longer.

We LOVED our stay here. Location is amazing for anyone planning to go scalloping or fishing. Easy smooth ride out of the channel. We caught crabs and fish off the back dock- even a little baby shark! The pool is refreshing after a long day on the water. The house set up is perfect and plenty of space! Everything you need to cook, make drinks, and have a good time! (Beds are amazing! ) Super soft towels. The neighborhood is very friendly- everyone out walking dogs and riding golf carts stops and says hi! Close to fun restaurants & shopping. Can’t wait to come back!

This house has everything you need for your stay. You will need a trip to the grocery store and then you won’t need to leave! There were even beach towels, fishing gear, games for the afternoon storms, and pool floats. The kitchen has everything you need except food. The sun room is the third bedroom and worked out great for our child. We were even able to park in the garage during our stay. The canal is beautiful and the house is a short drive to lots of outdoor activities, not that you will want to leave. We would gladly stay here again!

There were 4 adults and 2 teenagers staying at this location and there was plenty of room for all of us. The pool was great and having our boat docked at the back was just what we needed for our days on the water. The house was very comfortable and clean. We fished quite a bit and spent one morning at SunWest beach which was not far from the house. This home was perfect for the 6 of us and just what we were looking for. Checking in was a simple process as well as checking out. Thank you for a relaxing vacation!

This home is in need of maintenance and 21st century updates which could be overlooked IF the #1 selling points as listed on VRBO were accurate. (But they're not!) 1.) The 'pool cage' was taken down prior to our arrival leaving it completely open to the elements/bugs & animals, AND a hazardous drop off between the elevated patio and the concrete retaining wall below. 2.) The pool heat did not work the entire week, which made it UNusable given the 70 degree January temps. 3.) The jacuzzi-pool waterfall did not work at all. 4) The Maintenance contact was hospitalized and not available during our stay, and the back up contact was non-responsive. 5) The dock has a broken ladder into the water which exposes very jagged wood that caused injury to two of us and the response from management is that "most people don't swim off the docks". (Blatantly incorrect statement considering at least six neighboring homes feature Slides & Ladders from their docks right into the beautiful Gulf waters.) 6) This is NOT a 3 bedroom home - it's two King rooms and a sunroom with daybed sofas - no privacy, no closet, and not appropriate for sleeping.7) Worst of all the property manager was almost impossible to reach, and took as much as 48 hrs to respond. I am a frequent traveler and user of VRBO + ABB and have enjoyed many pleasant experiences through both... Until now! The lack of effective hosting combined with numerous property issues made this the absolute worst experience I've had with VRBO. And sadly, the issues we encountered are almost exactly the same as a prior Guest who stayed & reviewed this property in JULY 2020. It's clear the owners/management are NOT addressing reported issues, making critical repairs, or even being fully honest about this rental. As a result we spent thousands of $$ for a week's stay in a house that did not live up to the VRBO listing!

Great peace full location and wonderful house. We are both retired so we were looking a warm and friendly location to relax and we found it. Bill and Carol were excellent to work with and addressed all our questions and needs.
