Martin’s villa is absolutely gorgeous - well-landscaped, incredible pool, and just a short walk to the beach. He made planning extremely straightforward and accommodated all needs (and changes) for the trip well in advance and during. Would highly recommend for a group of families or friends.

Our family of 18 stayed at Martin’s place for a week the end of July. We can’t say enough good things about how wonderful everything was. We paid for the all inclusive plan and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Mercedes and her crew made the most amazing food for us all week. She was so accommodating with special requests for the kids in our group and any additional requests we had. Martin was very helpful with getting us anything we needed like taxis in to town, beverages that we wanted and medication that we needed for one of the kids. The villa was spacious and had plenty of room for our whole group. The pool was wonderful and the property is absolutely beautiful! This was a perfect vacation for our big family! We would highly recommend choosing Martin’s place!

We were in town for my wedding and wanted to have an option for a place to stay where our family members who are local to Mexico could come visit and we could more easily access different areas. This was the perfect place! Based on the other reviews, we went with the chef services and this was the best decision for this trip! Every single meal was perfect! We had 22 guests and this villa fit everyone comfortably. We all felt very safe and spent tons of time by the pool and the beach. Definitely recommend this for a group vacation!

Martin was a great host and provided everything we needed. The house, bathrooms and rooms were very clean. The house was very well stocked to cook for yourself and Martin offered Chef services at a very reasonable rate for delicious food. The beach was a 2 min walk away from the house. The house was in a secure and private neighborhood that had 24/7 security. Would definitely take a large work or family group back.

This villa is one of a kind. Absolutely massive and gorgeous on the inside and out. Perfect for large groups celebrating a special occasion. If you stay you MUST enlist the chefs to cook for your group. The food was truly one of the highlights of the stay. Very authentic and you can tell it’s made with a lot of love and heart. I would absolutely stay at Martin’s villa again in the future!

My friends and I (15 27yr olds) had an amazing time. The house was beautiful and the chefs were amazing. The property manager was very responsive for all our needs and store errands. Would recommend everyone stay here!

We had an incredible time at this property with our family of 16 (10 adults and 6 kids). The grounds and pool were beautiful, the walk to the beach was quick and Martin was always super responsive. We hired Mercedes for several meals and the food was beyond amazing - this is a must!

Gorgeous villa, private and secure. Wonderful place to relax and take a break from the cold weather. Beach is a short walk away, beautiful and not crowded. The chefs for our meals were magnificent! Our whole family of 25 had a vacation to remember!

Absolutely beautiful property!! We were met by Isais who was very helpful, from dinner recommendations to helping us with getting taxis. And Mercedes was absolutely fantastic! The meals were great and on time! She has such a kind spirit. We didn't get the opportunity to meet Martin but he remained very responsive throughout our stay. We appreciated that. Did i say this property is beautiful!!!? And we would love to visit again!

Everything was perfect!

The property was stunning! 1 min walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in playa. The house was massive, more than enough rooms for our group of 12. Multiple kitchens made it easy for us to cook for ourselves. Super market is only 15 mins away, Walmart is 20 mins away. 15 mins from 5th Ave downtown playa and plenty of activities to do! Parasailing, jet skiing, snorkeling, diving and beach massage all walking distance from the house! We had a slight issue at checking in but the owner is responsive and handled everything immediately. We would stay here again and would recommend to anyone, especially large groups. The property is gorgeous

Nice place to stay with a wonderful pool and the chef is not to be missed. Martin was there everyday. Not a bad thing, but not required. It is hard to describe the location to people, but once they get it, they are fine. We were never sure where 'our beach' was, but that didn't matter. We shared with the giant resort next to the house.

The pool and outside space is awesome!! The owner was friendly and responsive. We had 12 family members stay and no issues.

The home was perfect for what our group of 12 needed. We all essentially had our own rooms. The home has a nice little pool and is a short 1 minute walk to the beach. The true highlight were the ladies that catered our meals. They were absolutely wonderful and the food was seriously the best I have had in a very long time and will rival any restaurant. The home is a little confusing to get to though. That is the only difficulty. Google maps will either send you into the Iberostar Resort or a different hotel within the community. The best thing to note is that it is the first house on your right once you past the security gate. You will have to drive down a dirt road that is quite narrow that runs alongside the Iberostar resort. Other than this logistical thing, it was an absolute blast.

La Joya Del Mar was an absolute dream! The location is perfect, with a very short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever experienced. The property was gorgeous, and the pool fantastic. We utilized the chef option for dinner, and I highly recommend it! Dinners were absolutely delicious! Fresh guacamole every night, and the authentic Mexican meals made by Mercedes were amazing! The house accommodations were spot on. We had 18 people - 10 adults, and 8 kids. It was perfect! Thank you Martin so much for allowing us to utilize your beautiful villa, and make memories with our friends and families.

JUST WOW! WOW! WOW! This was a family vacation with eight adults and seven children. The house and bedrooms were perfect, The pictures do not do justice to this spectacular property. Martin was great in communicating. Mercedes cooked all of our meals in the house and they were awesome and it was so much easier than cooking ourselves or trying to go out to eat. The pool was fantastic and used a lot by the kids. Just perfect!!

Group of 14 (9 adults and 5 kids ages 2.5-7) loved our time here! We did the all inclusive option and Mercedes the cook was amazing. Food was always fantastic and she was super accommodating with dietary restrictions and various requests for the kids. If we needed something (specific snacks, etc) she would get it the next day for us. Pool is great and ground were beautiful. Had some issues with showers in the house but they took care of it immediately which was great - team was super responsive. We were a bit disappointed by the beach as there was so much seaweed it wasn't swimmable but that hopefully is just temporary. There was one side of the beach that was super fun to explore with the kids with rocks and little tide pools and we saw turtles at night laying eggs, which was cool. You are right next door to the Iberostar all inclusive (you share the beach with them) so we did buy some day passes so we could use the water park and slides for the kids - this was also great for a few rainy days. We all had a fantastic time overall and would recommend!

This place was even better than the photos. Look at all the reviews from before and they on point. We hired the Chef and Mercedes was with us all weekend creating the most amazing meals we have ever had. It was so great to have food brought in and prepared to let us focus on spending time together before we all move away from each other. We spent most of our time either in the pool, hanging in the hammocks, or on the back porch enjoying the large tables while eating. There are multiple sitting areas around the property. We found ourselves sitting in the back middle area for morning coffee, in front of the first villa in the late evening laughing at the comfy outdoor furniture. We felt safe in this area and the suggestions from Martin for transportation and tequila tasting made this trip even just a little bet better. This is an amazing experience.

Our experience here was wonderful. The dinners prepared by our chef were magnificent and a true highlight of our trip. Martin was kind to communicate with and allowed us to delay our trip when circumstances for our group changed with a small surcharge to account for the change in pricing seasonally. They shopped for us before the trip and it was an easy drive into Puerto Morelos to pick up extra things we needed. The grounds were beautiful and the pool and walk to the ocean were both stunning. We were visited by a sweet cat, the groundskeeper’s sweet dog, a small money, some coatimundis, and many beautiful birds. The space was huge and very comfortable for our group of 12. Would stay again!

Great place for a large group. We usually do Ocean front but decided to change it up a little. Glad we did. Great beach with snorkeling a block away plus the benefit of a jungle retreat. Warm pool, exceptional landscaping, sheltered from the wind and sun. The pool is a holdiday on its own. The owner Martin is very quick to communicate, very knowledgeable and seems to have everything you could need stored on site. Also make sure to take advantage of the meal plans. The ladies are awesome cooks, you won't regret it.

Communication with Martin was very responsive throughout the process. Chef serive was awesome very accommodating. You can only imagine trying to please 18 guests, some with special dietary needs. The ladies were awesome. Very much worth the expense. To accommodate all of our 18 guest I didnt realize it would be in 2 separate villas. Not an issue at all. Beautiful grounds. Good security. Not the most pleasant walk to the beach, but well worth the walk. Some minor repairs are in need, but really didn't really affect our awesome vacation! Thank you Martin and your awesome staff. I would very much recommend this property for a large group. A very good deal of cost and location.

Our stay at the Villa was amazing. The villa was beautiful and well equipped with everything you need for a family vacation. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous with lots of green and colorful flora! Martin was very attentive and was available for whatever we needed. He hosted our wedding reception and made sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it to be. It was picture perfect! The food was provided by Master Chef Michele Mustiere and his wife, the wedding cake. All devine. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The neighborhood is quiet and the street to get to the villa feels so private. Excellent getaway. You won’t regret it!

My friends and I loved staying at this property. Martin was so helpful and accommodating from the time I booked to when we checked out. He helped us with whatever we needed - transportation, chef services, etc. The chefs did an amazing job as well. The food was always well-prepared and delicious. The property is extremely beautiful and intimate. It’s also really close to the beach. Overall, we had an amazing time and I would absolutely stay here again.

Superb villa with all the amenities you need, amazing pool, almost invisible staff and yet courteous and helpful. We celebrated our wedding there and Martin was helpful at every step of the way. We have amazing memories.

This compound was perfect for our family reunion! We had a total of 14 people and never felt crowded - there is more than enough room for everyone! The interior is spacious and well equipped. There were plenty of glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, etc. There were new TVs and very good WiFi. The beds were comfortable, shower pressure strong, and the place was immaculate and very clean. The grounds of the compound are incredible and even more pretty in person. There are plenty of seating areas all around and the pool was fantastic. The short walk to the beach was easy, but in reality, we spent a lot of our time at our own pool. I highly recommend the private chef - worth every penny when entertaining a large group. The owner was so helpful with all the recommendations and communication was great. He made the planning process very easy. This villa is perfect for a large group and we highly recommend! We loved every minute!

We could not be happier with our experience at the villa. Perfect place for 16 dads and sons to do a grad trip. Martin and Isai were extremely helpful and communicative. And Mercedes’ cooking and housekeeping was fantastic! It is perfect for anyone looking for a big place in a great area close to Playa del Carmen. Isai was always available during our stay and always had great recommendations. We had a truly unforgettable stay and would recommend it wholeheartedly. Thank you Martin, Isai and Mercedes!

The process started with Martin (property owner) emailing me a welcome email with so much fantastic information about the villa, the surrounding area, and places and attractions to see. We chose to utilize the private chef (Marosa) and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The food was FANTASTIC the entire stay. We arrived at the villa mid day on a Saturday and Isaia (manager) was here to greet us and show us the grounds. Let me tell you, they don’t disappoint. The entire fenced in yard is immaculately maintained. From beautiful trees and shrubs to flowers and grass the grounds are GORGEOUS. Then comes the villa. Two large separate houses which was perfect for us as the adults and older kids were able to have their own space. Decorated in exactly the style I personally would envision of a Mexican villa. A/C units all throughout the home to keep you cool in the sweltering Mayan Riviera heat. The bedrooms are large and spacious. The water pressure is fantastic. The amount of space is perfect for large groups. Everything was just perfect. We walked through the neighborhood and there were many friendly people, as well as some homes for sale in the area which definitely intrigued us. But please if you have the chance to stay here with Martin and his staff, please know you will not be disappointed. Martin has been a delight to work with and we could not be any more happy with our decision. Even when our trip had to be extended for unforeseen circumstances Martin and his staff did everything to help us. I wish I could rate the Villa higher but for now 5/5 will have to do!
