We were hesitant to travel during the pandemic and decided to rent a lake house. The house was meticulously clean and beautifully appointed with great appliances (who doesn't like a dishwasher on vacation?). This home has several outdoor seating areas, two kayaks, lots of books and a great air hockey table in the game room. My one complaint, which doesn't reflect on the quality of the property, is that I found it difficult to get additional information about the house through Vacasa. It is unclear how to get any questions answered. For example, is wood provided for the fireplace? Or how long is the house vacant prior to re-rental? But the house itself was very nice, relaxing...just right.

Recommend to anyone. Beautiful clean property, right on the lake with everything thing you could possibly need for a relaxing get away. Thank you for the great weekend!

Very bright and cheery home with fabulous sunrises right out the window. Outdoor fire pit was in a great location not far from house and plenty of firewood kept dry with a cover. We had a peaceful relaxing week with plenty of activities to enjoy on the lake ( kayaks at the house) as well as nearby. Vacasa was quick to respond to all of our questions! Looking forward to a future stay!

Location and home was perfect for a family of 4. The location gave the right balance of sun and shade options throughout the day depending on your preference. Would definitely stay here again.

The home is just as it is presented in the pictures. Like other reviewers have stated, the view is spectacular. This truly is waterfront property. The kitchen is stocked with whatever appliances/pots or pans you need to cook. The only true negative is that it could have been cleaner. While the home I.e rooms, bathrooms, fridge etc. were clean, the oven and grill definitely needed cleaning. Also - communication from management needs to be much better. Overall, we did enjoy our stay here and I would return to this property in the future.

Our family of four (two of which are teenagers) really enjoyed our stay at Sweet Serenity. The home was furnished very nicely in the Adirondack style. We ate every lunch and dinner on the deck taking in the gorgeous mountains and lake view. We spent much of our time on the lake kayaking (two kayaks provided for us) or swimming in the lake. The mornings are very peaceful there - the sunrises are gorgeous and it's relaxing watching the ducks go by. There is also a fire pit with some Adirondack chairs; firewood and kindling is provided. It is just a short drive into a really cute town. We would love to return sometime!

Views! The home is one of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed! The best part was being incredibly close to water to see its beauty and experience it’s peacefulness. Having the dock was perfect since we spent most of our time on our boat, jet ski or the provided kayaks. The deck with grill was great for evening dinner overlooking the water. There was even a small rec room downstairs that my son enjoyed with air hockey and board games. Lovely Adirondack chairs under deck on patio were perfect when you needed shade. Furnishings are very nice and kitchen is well stocked. Nice linens and towels were provided. Trex decking so you can easily stay barefoot. Short drive to very small village with Tops foodstore, boat launch, shops, pub, etc. Note: the listing says parking for 4 cars, which I think would be tight. An ice maker in fridge would have been nice.

The view is not really Highlighted in the listing which is a shame because it is the best feature. The house is situated perfectly. Lots of extras like nice decking and plenty of kayaks, nice Adirondack style furniture, fire pit and extra room downstairs. Only disappointment is the door to the main deck does not open.

The listing does not really highlight the view which is superb. Nice Adirondack furniture and well-maintained property. Plenty of kayaks to spare. Only drawback is that the door to the deck does not open which was a disappointment and you’ll have to walk around the entire deck from the side entrance to get to enjoy the deck.

This house has everything you would want in a lake house. An open floor plan, big windows facing the lake and a nice dock with kayaks. We had a great time staying here and look forward to staying at this house for our next trip.

The Sweet Serenity house is wonderful! It is right on the water and has the most amazing view from all the main windows and porches. There is a very nice area down by the water with a dock & four kayaks that we all enjoyed using. We also used the firepit for a campfire & s'mores one night. There are two smaller bedrooms on the main floor with twin beds each and a large oversized master bedroom & bath upstairs. It was perfect for our family and we will definitely look forward to staying again!

Sweet Serenity was the perfect place for our family of six to stay! We have been to Schroon Lake the past five years, and this is the home that we hope to rent every year!! Everything was in excellent condition when we arrived. The views from the living space were the best that we have ever had!! It was great to wake up every morning to the sunshine beaming in. The location of the house is ideal- you are a walk to town and our favorite restaurant (Sticks and Stones). The dock was perfect for our pontoon boat. Our young children enjoyed fishing off the dock, while our teenagers enjoyed taking out the kayaks and doing their own fishing. We would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacation to make family memories to stay at Sweet Serenity!!

We had 4 adults and 2 children. 1 being a 5 year old. We had a great time in the 5 days we were there. The house is beautiful and there is everything you need for your stay. The 5/year old loved jumping off the end of the dock into the lake. You can not go wrong with this house, we will be back again.
