The family (6 adults and 2 children 11 and 14) thoroughly enjoyed the house and location for 4 nights, plus we had beautiful weather most of the time. The four bedrooms and baths were very clean, comfortable, spacious, and had good amenities, plus the 11 yr old chose to sleep on the couch next to the TV. The kitchen had all the appliances and tools for family meals together, and the dining table next to the windows was perfect to seat everyone and enjoy the sunrises/sets. West Cliff Drive was closed to all but local traffic, due to sea wall construction, so the loudest sounds were the crashing waves. Short people take note: The beds and microwave and some kitchen shelves are high, and a step-stool would help. Even so, we loved the place.

This was our second stay. The home is comfortable and has a great location on West Cliff Drive. This home has bicycles, two sitting areas located on the deck, and a large backyard complete with a chairs and fire ring. So if you grow weary of the beautiful ocean views, you have other options, even ping-pong. Also, there are travel restrictions on West Cliff due to storm damage, but we found that due to there being much less vehicle traffic on West Cliff, the restrictions were somewhat beneficial and not a problem.

Nice property with great views. Location is a nice walk to either town or Natural Bridges. They even provided bikes which was a fun alternative. We had a great time cheering on athletes participating in the 1/2 Ironman!

It was privilege to stay at this wonderful house across the street from the Pacific ocean. First off, the house location is unbelievable. The ever-changing sky and ocean was a joy to watch from the kitchen and deck. You are close to everything and our family enjoyed borrowing the house’s bikes. The house is very roomy for a family to spread out and is very thoughtfully decorated and designed. You’ll love the spa-like experience in the master bath has a high window looking out to the Pacific in the shower. The host stocks the house with everything a guest could possibly need. I’ve read that description in other reviews but don’t think other houses can compare. Bug spray, band-aids, nice conditioner in every bathroom.... it seemed like the host has lived through trips of lost luggage and forgotten items is on mission to make sure their guests don’t suffer the same experience. Sorry our kids raided your toothbrush inventory before we realized what they are doing – they are all excited about their new colors. It’s a really special house and I whole-heartedly recommend it.

Our family reunion was a great success at this unique home. We enjoyed the barbecue, game room and the amazing location in our old west side neighborhood. Hope we stay here again.

My family had the most amazing time staying in this home! We really enjoyed our morning coffee on the wrap around deck, listening to the ocean waves, spotting sea lions! The house is equipped with everything you need to make the best of your time there and the property manager was super responsive and accommodating. My family did not want to leave! I highly recommend this home and hope that my family can stay there again!

Very grateful for the opportunity to stay in this home for 10 days. The owner was friendly and responsive and incredibly accommodating and easy to work with. We will definitely return to this home again and we highly recommend this house and location. It is worth every penny.

Loved the monarch’s at Natural Bridges. Appreciated the children’s stools to reach the sink faucets. Smiled at the driftwood succulent garden art. We love Monterey Bay, and we often visit Santa Cruz for breakfast. This was a great special occasion house because of the awesome VIEW on the second floor, and the bikes, and the much-needed baby-gate the property manager so nicely procured :) The kitchen was the best we have had in a rental, we need not have brought anything extra, and the oven was true to temperature. The first floor living area was mostly unused by us; it was quite cold down there, and the two bedrooms downstairs were like ice boxes in February. There was a nice tiny office there that daughter used for work-from-home which was great! We were surprised by an additional personal check requested outside of the vrbo system for some local tax increase... I think possible cost increases should be included in whatever the homeowner is publicly asking. It was a little eerie at first being on a road that the sea is taking, but we got used to it, and it was certainly nice not to have cars driving by! (The street is closed to through-traffic.) It will be hard to match, but I hope to find a special occasion house like this for my big birthday coming up.

This was our 2nd visit to this amazing home. You will feel like you hit the jackpot when staying here. Stunning views, gorgeous home that is impeccably maintained and stocked, and extremely generous hosts that think of every detail to assure a wonderful stay. This is our 2nd time staying at Azure in Santa Cruz. The home is really beautiful, great neighborhood, and the views are incredible. It’s super clean and so many amenities. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and also had my dad with us who is in his 80’s. Great for all ages! You can bicycle to grab a coffee, hit the grocery store, try a brewery or wine tasting, or check out Natural Bridges and The Boardwalk! The kids boogie boarded and tried the stand up paddle boards at the beach right out front of the house. (Bicycles and paddle boards provided by home owners) The home owners and property manager were all wonderful to work with. Great house! Can’t wait for our next trip to Azure!

Great location! Clean and well equipped house. We keep coming back and consider it our Santa Cruz home.

Three of us adult family members stayed here, we could have had several more people because the home is so spacious. The location was a dream, we’ve been talking about getting a West Cliff rental for quite some time. This home had everything we needed and wanted. The views from the living and kitchen area upstairs were unbelievable. The interior is very clean and comfortable. We happened to have perfect weather as well. I hope we can come back some time.

A perfect house for 2 families. We used the downstairs for my husband and I and our adult son and the upstairs for my daughter, husband and their 3 small children ages 2,3 and 5. Loved the 4 bathrooms

Very well equipped house with everything you will need for a great vacation, from kitchen accessories to bikes, paddleboards, ping pong, billiards, really comfy beds and more. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy the ocean view, TV, large backyard and more. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying here. We were able to make beautiful dinners for our families, all while taking in the incredible view of West Cliff Drive. Being born and raised in Santa Cruz, before moving to Washington, and still having family that lives there, I knew that staying in a property on West Cliff would be ideal. It was so hard to leave, but I intend to be back! The owners and property manager do an excellent job maintaining the property and putting in the extra touches and details that make you feel at home. -The Allens

The house was great, well equipped with everything you need. The view is outstanding and the surf was pumping so we got to watch some nice surfing performance. The house is very homey and comfortable with beautiful artwork throughout the home. The backyard is nice and big for lots of activities to do outside. We will be back to enjoy another stay in this beautiful house.
