This cozy cabin was a relaxing anniversary getaway, easy to get to, beautiful surroundings, convenient to several good restaurants.(can recommend The Creag and Canyon Grill) Enjoyed the hot tub, view and cool mountain breezes. However, if you are a side sleeper, I suggest bringing your own memory foam, the beds are very firm.

The cabin was immaculate and was supplied with everything that we might need. There were thunderstorms every evening that we were there but even they were amazing to watch come over the mountains.
The host was very responsive with any question that we had.

Overall we had a great time the house was super clean and nice. The owners left some snacks, some fresh eggs from their chickens, and even left a bottle of sparkling cider for me as a birthday gift. 100% would recommend and we will be visiting again in the future.

The view here is great and the place is even better. We didnt have time to take advantage of all the great amenities but the house/cottage was spotless, comfortable, and a really cool designed place. The host was very helpful with communication and tips on places to go. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property, well-maintained, and private while within driving distance to whatever may be needed (including many historical sites and nature trails).
There is a house next door that can be seen from the porch (other private spaces are available for outdoor relaxation). No one seems to be currently living there, but there’s some construction going on. This being said, our time at the Roost was nothing but peaceful and restorative.

So often people complain that the pictures are not as good as the property. Here, the panoramic view is better in person, because the eye is better at perceiving depth than a camera. Worth the price of the stay to be on the deck, looking out at the world.

Loved this place. The owner provided excellent instructions. The property and house were in A one condition. The lookouts were breathtaking! It was so peaceful. I could have stayed there for weeks! My biggest regret is our stay was too short. Very convenient to several attractions. I highly recommend this place for anyone wishing to stay in the Cloudland area.

My husband and I stayed for four days and had a wonderful time. The cabin is lovely and has everything you need and more. You sit way on top of the mountain and seeing the morning sky from bed is breathtaking. Our host had fresh eggs and a goodie basket in the kitchen, plenty of towels, dishes etc also. We went to Ingles which is about 20 minutes away for groceries and visited Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Tennessee Aquarium, all around 40ish minutes away. Great cabin, host and stay.

Wow! We can’t say enough about our trip to Buzzards Roost! Excellent communication with the host, Gail obviously goes above and beyond to see that the guest has an awesome experience. This is the one place that the pictures do not do the home justice, it’s even better than the pics. The hot tub gives you the feeling your sitting in the edge of the earth as the view is simply stunning! The home is comfortable and cozy! Highly recommend a visit as we are eager to return as often as possible in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was clean and very well stocked with the basics to make our stay comfortable. It was quaint and well decorated, the views and outdoor seating areas are amazing, although we didn’t use them much due to the weather.
My only complaint is that the hot tub was not in good working condition. It was clean and hot but something was wrong with the jets and light. I communicated with the owner and they were very communicative and professional and I am satisfied with how they handled the situation. Due to how short our stay was (2nights), it was not fixed by the time we left. Hopefully it will be fixed for the next visitors.
All in all, we had fun and would book again if back in the area.

Fabulous bluff view to the East. Multiple seating areas along the bluff and the deck. Jetted hot tub for up to 3. Outside also has neat decor accents and low voltage lighting. New propane grill. Kitchen has a full size fridge and freezer, new microwave and toaster oven and full capacity dishwasher. 46" TV with easy to function controls. High speed internet. Comfortable furniture and beds. Everything clean and neat as can be.

This house was one of the best we've ever rented. It felt like a real home. Clean, comfortable, charming. I love how it's decorated. You could move in tomorrow and would only need to bring clothes. The deck overlooks a valley that I'm sure is even more incredible in the fall.
The stairs are no joke if you have any medical issues but they are in excellent condition.
I will say, we were out until after dark on our last night and coming up the driveway was a little scary as it was very foggy/misty. Easily avoided. We will stay again if we're ever in the area.

My husband and I eloped in Cloudland Canyon and we stayed here in Buzzard's Roost. The view is absolutely phenomenal and the accomodations are great! Very cozy. Gail is so sweet and even left us a note congratulating us with some snacks! Highly recommend

Only complaint I would have is that the showers/bath faucets trickle out. Really hard to take a bath without running water for over 45 minutes.
Otherwise, everything else was definitely 5 star. We really enjoyed our stay and felt safe while there. Would definitely stay again!

Buzzard’s Roost was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A cozy cottage in a beautiful natural setting. The kitchen was well equipped which was appreciated since there were very few restaurants nearby. We had a wonderful time. It was only a 20 mile scenic drive from Chattanooga.
