What a great property! It was very comfortable for our party of 5 (parents, grandparents, and 5 year old child). The kitchen is well stocked. The water pressure is great in the showers. The deck has a great view of Henry's Lake and was our favorite place to enjoy a go-slow morning. There is some road noise from the highway below, but that didn't bother us and you can't hear that at all from inside the home. It is a 20 minute drive to Yellowstone's West Entrance, but very doable. We loved getting away from the busyness of West Yellowstone and arriving at our own quiet get-away. The neighborhood is VERY QUIET! And when we had a rainy day and decided to just stay in, there was plenty of space for everyone to do their thing...play games, read, nap, etc. Gary and Melodie were WONDERFUL to work with and extremely responsive--before and during our stay. We would highly recommend this property!

We had a great stay and it was perfect for what we needed. Cabin was exactly as described, check in was easy and Melodie was was quick to respond and answer any questions we had. Beautiful view of the lake from the porch and the cabin was well stocked with all of the basics you need. We spent most of our time in Yellowstone and it was an easy 20 minute drive to the entrance. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone we know wanting to go to Yellowstone.

Stayed in the area for a week of fly fishing. The cabin was perfect with a spectacular view overlooking the lake and snow peaked mountains. There was a disruption in water supply for the entire community, but the property owners went above and beyond to ensure that our vacation was not disrupted. You will not find more hospitable hosts anywhere!!!

The cabin was nice and rustic. It was overrun by flying bugs and that seemed to be prevalent in the area. We were disappointed that we couldn’t sit outside for all the bugs everywhere, but I guess this is normal for the area. The cabin was fairly clean, but for the price we thought it should have been better.

The cabin was very well laid out. The rooms were very large and had big closets. The view of the lake and mountains was amazing. They had very modern Applicance's. My brothers and I loved the place. Ken

We truly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was just close enough to West Yellowstone to enjoy all that the town and Yellowstone National Park had to offer but far enough away to get away from it all. We also enjoyed a day trip to Jackson, WY and to Grand Teton NP. The house was perfect for us and provided all that we needed. Would definitely stay again!

This cabin was perfect for our family, very cute and was the best stocked kitchen etc. that we have ever rented. View was amazing and was close to everything we had planned to do. Got quick responses to questions we had. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Everyone enjoyed our stay there.

Our family of 5 had an amazing time in Island Park. It was so convenient being 15 minutes from Yellowstone West entrance. The house was perfect. It had everything we needed for our stay, was clean, quiet and had an amazing view of the mountains and Henry Lake. In our adventures we hiked, mountain bikes, swam, kayaked, saw geysers, hot springs, canyons and even had an exciting albeit a bit unnerving situation where a grizzly cub crossed the trail 50 feet in front of us while hiking in the tetons. While we luckily did not encounter mama bear, I was grateful that the owners had bear spray available to use as I would strongly not recommend being without it.

The cabin was amazing, and Gary and Melody were so responsive and helpful to all our questions ahead of time. They have clearly thought about what people might need when staying, as there was not a single thing we thought of the we wanted that we did not find in the house. Everything was clean and well-cared for. The view from the deck, though, was our favorite part of all. We would sit outside in the morning and drink coffee (or tea, or whatever!) and just enjoy the view. We saw a couple of eagles most mornings, and a sweet little hummingbird visited every day as well. I will say it was a good 20-25 minute drive to the West Entrance of Yellowstone, but it is an easy drive. We saw animals of some sort coming and going most days. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

We had a delightful stay at the cabin. Everything was clean and organized. It is very well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, etc. The view across Henry’s Lake was a treat from the front deck. The owners were great! I would highly recommend this property!

This home couldn't have been more prepared to receive guests. It was like walking into our home - everything needed was there. We stopped at the grocery before arriving to pick up a few things with plans to make a list of what we'd need. Not necessary, Melodie and Gary have thought of everything. The home was so comfortable, including the beds. While on our trip we had a beautiful 8-9" snowfall - the views from the dining/living and front porch were spatular. The location was central to the park, Island Park (Mesa Falls), and even a trip to Ennis, MT and Earthquake Lake. If we had not planned to head to Grand Tetons after our stay, it would have been a good day trip from here too! If we ever passed this away again, I'd been in touch with Melodie to arrange for another stay at their Henry's Lake cabin. If I had to find one fault (and not Melodie's fault) it's too bad guests don't handwash the cookware. Dishwashers are pretty hard on decent pots and pans.

We had a great stay at the cabin. Perfect for what we needed. Fantastic hosts. Above and beyond what was expected. We will undoubtedly be returning to the cabin.

This property was wonderful! Only 15-20 min. outside the West Yellowstone entrance. It was cozy, comfortable and had great views of Lake Henry and the mountains. I would highly recommend it!

This was our favorite rental out of all the places we stayed at during our trip. The location is convenient, the property is welcoming, and the view of the lake is great. The kitchen is functional and it's really nice to have two bathrooms.

this was a amazing stay for my family. Weather was great. Environment was great and the cabin was very comfortable.

We loved this house. It decorated so carefully with touches that made you feel like you were in a rustic cabin. On the other hand, we had all the modern amenities to be comfortable. We never ran out of hot water even with 5 people showering at a time. Thanks to the crockpot, a day in the Park ended with a hot home cooked meal.

We had an absolutely lovely time at this charming cabin! The attention to detail in the decor and thoughtfulness of the amenities were exceptional. We had 6 people, 5 of whom were adults, and it was plenty roomy for us all. It truly was only 17 minutes from West Yellowstone making it extremely convenient for park visits as well as food and shopping. Owners were very helpful with timely responses to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

This Cabin was , without a doubt , the nicest place I have ever stayed. It was clean , had lots of wonderful amenities. It was close to all the things that we wanted to do on our vacation. Only 18 minutes to West entrance of Yellowstone. I Fly fished in some of the most famous rivers in the country. The Grandkids and Us floated two different rivers , went horseback riding , and spent a lot of time exploring the wonders of Yellowstone. And every evening we would return to this Wonderful Cabin that Gary and Melodie have filled with all this unique charm. We will be back !!!! P. S. The grandchildren have informed us they want a ping pong table for Christmas !!

We had a wonderful stay in the cabin. It had such a beautiful view of Henry Lake and a short 15 min drive to the entrance of Yellowstone. Our 3 kids enjoyed the loft and access to the ping pong and pool table. My husband loved the abundance of fishing options in the area. There were so many little extras it’s hard to list them all. It’s a fantastic place to stay!

This property is perfect for visiting Yellowstone's west gate, which is only about 15 minutes away. The house is well-kept, and pictures don't do the view justice. The lake and mountains were just stunning. The kitchen was well-suited for cooking, and the living area was comfortable. The only minor downside I can mention is that the owners ask you not to stream media too much, which is tough to do in this day and age. Otherwise, fantastic experience!

Easy and no problems at all
