We enjoyed the time to disconnect from the rest of the world. The property had breath taking views. Walking distance from the beach was a huge perk! Property was stocked with everything we needed to really enjoy family time.

This was my family’s favorite beach trip ever and the most relaxing trip I’ve ever had. Fishing right out back, which also turned out to be the best place to watch the sunset. Short walk to the beach. Everything you need to eat at the house if you don’t want to go out, but close to local dining if you do. We can’t wait to return next year.

Back again for year #2 at this great house and it felt like we never left...in the best possible way! Super private, everything you need, awesome dock from which you can swim/boat/fish/lay in the sun/listen to music/etc...and watch amazing sunsets every night! The house was perfect in so many ways. As soon as we arrived, I felt like we just relaxed. For several days in a row, we got to experience the most beautiful sunsets that seemed to go on forever. I loved the layout of the house with the deck overlooking the water and the different living areas. We rented bikes and it was a short bike ride to explore the town and eat at the restaurants. And the beach across the street was an easy walk and continued our relaxation.

Lovely home/property in quiet cul de sac with parking available. Love the long pier, decks & scenery facing the Folly River & the upstairs den to relax. Kitchen has all the pots, pans, & utensils to cook meals. 3 areas to enjoy your meals: kitchen bar, outside screened in porch & upstairs indoor dining table. Always enjoy our stay at this wonderful home.

Amazing location and fantastic house with everything you need...including the best "backyard" you could have and an owner who was super-accommodating and hospitable. We'd go back to this same place (and likely will) and recommend it to anyone heading to the Charleston area. Just the right size for our family of 4. Real easy walk to the beach. Other reviews are accurate - when it's high tide the beach shrinks to almost nothing (and literally nothing if the wind is blowing strong enough)...but that's when the "backyard" with the dock out in the water becomes your second beach! Really appreciate all of Michele's hospitality and accessibility!

Magical getaway!
Our family stayed here last week and it was the most incredibly magical experience! There was more than enough room for me and my husband and our two kids (5&8). The location, a very short walk to the beach, the view, the furnishings and decor, the little helpful amenities that were included (beach chairs and towels, etc), made for a truly unforgettable time. Perfect place for our family beach week!
I couldn’t be happier with the house and location. First, the house was perfect for my husband and me and our daughter and her family. There was plenty of space so we were all able to have quiet time and spread out. Second, it was one of the most well stock kitchens I have had in rental houses. Everything we needed to cook great dinners. Third, the dock was great. We brought kayaks and fishing equipment we used off the dock. A great place for sunset viewing, too! Finally, the location from the beach was good. I was worried it would be too far, but it was fine. You have to pay attention to the tide charts for the beach closest to the house because when tide is high, there is not much beach. It wasn’t a problem for us at all. I am already planning to book again!

Hidden gem
Our family made the best memories in this lovely cottage with a million dollar view of Folly River. We enjoyed crabbing from the long board walk and were treated to the most splendid sunsets. The ocean so close can hear it from house. They had a great selection of DVD movies and books. My only suggestion for other guests is that if you would like to make a cocktail with ice when you arrive, you might want to pick up a bag of ice at Bert’s on the way to house. (They have a stand alone ice maker on the kitchen counter but it does take a while to produce enough ice for our thirsty family.) Really nice gas stove and cookware! We made several trips to Crosby’s for fresh off the boat shrimp and fish to cook at home. Homeowners were very nice and responsive!

Amazing house and location
This house offered everything you could want. Plenty of space inside with a nice kitchen that had everything you would need and secluded for more privacy than you would expect while staying on Folly Beach. Outside seating on the screened in porch and balcony was beyond perfect and relaxing. Staying on the marsh for us is a must and this location did not disappoint. Being able to walk out on the pier was probably one of our favorite parts and my daughter being able to “hunt” for tiny crabs was her favorite. Just a short walk to the beach made quick trips throughout the day so easy. Already thinking about a trip next year!

Perfect family getaway!
We loved our stay at this home in Folly Beach. It is tucked away on a private drive - an easy stroll down the lane to the beach. We loved the sunset views from the deck and fishing from the long dock. Home is well appointed and delightful.

Wonderful!
Loved everything about the location. Enjoyed watching birds off the deck in the morning, short walk to the beach, nice beach walk to the lighthouse, and we rode our bikes into Center Street a lot so we wouldn’t have to find parking. I really liked that we could explore in Charleston but then easily grab a few hours at the beach each day as well. Thanks for sharing your place!

Sunsets, seabirds and so much more!!!
Rented the house so we could visit nearby Charleston- and while it was just a quick drive into the city to see all the sights, by far the best part of the trip were the sunrises and sunsets we watched while sitting on the wonderful deck! We saw an incredible variety of birds and wildlife each day, and the colors of the sky each night were breathtaking! It was private yet accessible, comfy yet efficient, and wanted for nothing in terms of the amenities we expected. Two couples shared the property and each had their own sitting area and bathroom space - and for less money than we would have spent on separate hotel rooms in the city with far less space, fewer amenities - and would have missed out on those glorious sunsets! Would overwhelmingly recommend it to anyone looking to visit the Charleston area!!!

Charming House, easy walk to beach
The house is delightful, decorated with brightly colored art and fabrics, along with knick-knacks that show a sense of fun. The couches are comfortable, the beds are comfortable, with fat and flat pillows provided (which made me and my husband happy, in that order). Upstairs and downstairs sitting areas gave the young adults some privacy from the older folks and vice versa. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Sunsets off the back deck are gorgeous and it's a very short walk to the beach - just far enough to not be bothered by traffic. The owner is gracious and responsive. Unequivocally recommended.

Close to beach amazing sunset view
A great getaway. Located 2 miles from Folly beach town. Very easy 5 min walk to the beach. Monday- Thursday this area of the beach was not busy. Easy to social distance. Two bedrooms upstairs that share a bathroom. Master bedroom and private bath on main level. Very clean. Had everything we needed Including beach chairs! Coffee and filters provided. Small ice machine, Kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. The perfect place for a family of 4.

Pictures don’t do it justice
The property and experience were amazing! The house feels like home and the pictures don’t do it justice. The view is breathtaking and such a short walk from the beach. The kitchen is stocked with all of the dishes and cookware so if you love too cook it’s absolutely perfect.
I will definitely be back and look forward to bringing the kids next time!

Perfect getaway
We are local to the area and we’re looking for a getaway from our daily grind. The location of this home was amazing, the views were breathtaking. We were able to capture perfect sunrises and sunsets from the balcony. The kitchen was very well equipped to do some serious cooking. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay here again!

Just what we needed
This property is a home run. The master downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs suited our family perfectly. Our kids and their spouses were determined to catch some crabs and after a few failed attempts came back with 5 big ones. Beds were comfortable, screened in porch for dinners, awesome sunsets from the large deck. Beach two miles from the pier and was not crowded at all . Will definitely come back !
