My wife stayed here for a week and loved every minute! Spotless, tasteful and comfortable. Great roof top deck with ocean view has ample seating and tables for groups. 3 doors from a great beach. 1 block to great restaurant and 4 blocks to Better Buzz Coffee and numerous other restaurants. Host were super helpful, nice and we only saw them once during our stay. We will be back!

Large very organized space. Everything was better than expected. We took long walks down the beach. Sunset was beautiful. Close to coffee, shops and restaurants. Very private and quiet. Attention to detail was off the charts.

Convenient location, one half block from the beach and close to local restaurants. Newly remodeled, very clean with a great deck on top to have a morning coffee or night cap and watch the sunset. Hosts were wonderful. If you plan on cooking your own meals which we did not, there is a partial kitchen but no stove or oven, and a small fridge. Loved the location and it was perfect for our visit. We would definitely stay there again.

This awesome VRBO is less than a half block to the beach and a short walk to downtown Carlsbad’s restaurants and shops. Beautifully decorated, super quiet with an amazing deck where you can have meals, socialize and view the ocean. The king size bed is super comfy, the bathroom is wonderfully spacious and has a bidet!

This stays like an oversize hotel suite. The details are great from the tile and bidet in the bath to the bedroom linens. Everything was very well done and the owners clearly take pride in delivering a 5 star experience. Easy walk to village center.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this VRBO location. The place is immaculate. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was like staying at a resort. We had ocean views and the rooftop was incredible. We can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. We hope to be back soon!

Wish we could give 10 stars! This property is fantastic! The hosts have designed and stocked the perfect retreat. Super clean and well-organized, the apartment has a spa-like bathroom, a selection of pillow types (!), a very comfortable bed and a private rooftop deck. Words really don’t convey how wonderful this property is. Quality all around. And as if the apartment itself wasn’t enough, it is located within a few steps of the beach and is easy walking distance to the Village. The hosts live next door, but are very respectful of privacy. Highly recommend!

This is the second time we have stayed here and we really enjoyed it. It’s a perfect location right across the street from the beach and it’s a very short walk to Carlsbad Village. This property is a great place for a quiet couple. Location is about a block to the beach and only a stroll to the village. The homeowners have done a fabulous job creating a comfy environment. The rooftop deck has great views. We loved it!

My wife and I went to Carlsbad for our second anniversary. A quick shop-around on VRBO uncovered this property that had a flawless score, and now we know why. Everything associated with this place is great. The apartment, the location, the owners are all top-notch. I’d give it 6 out of 5 stars if they would let me.

I wish there were more stars than 5. This property was spotless and location is a 10! The apartment was so well stocked with kitchen items, bath items and a very well thought out Apartment Guide with all the information you'd need furnished by the owners. Easy walk to beach (less than 2 minutes). You could lie in bed and hear the surf. The rooftop deck was very large with tables, umbrellas and comfortable padded chairs. You can walk to Carlsbad Village for eating and shopping. Would not need to use the car. Never a problem with parking because of the designated spot right in the driveway. The bathroom and shower is huge and the icing on the cake was the bidet! What a nice luxury. I will definitely return next summer. Thank you Brian and Jenny:)

This property is a beautiful remodeled space above the garage of the owners home and I must say you definitely don’t feel like you’re staying on someone’s property but more like a hotel. A parking space is provided for you in the driveway so no street parking is needed, you have a private entrance to come and go, an upper sun deck with an ocean view and the unit itself is incredibly clean. The mattress is comfortable, linens are great, it’s own AC system for those warmer days, short walk to downtown Carlsbad and it takes you literally 2 minutes to walk across the street to the beach. You can tell the owners pay attention to detail as there wasn’t one thing we needed that wasn’t provided. We used to be in property management so our expectation of rentals is higher than most and this really was beyond. The owners respect your privacy, but we did meet them on day 3 while they were watering plants in the front yard and they were the sweetest couple. Well done, we would recommend this place and would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here in lieu of staying at the Omni La Costa up the road for a corporate event. This place was even BETTER than the pictures portray! SUPER clean...very private...everything was like brand new...great bathroom and kitchenette. We didn't have time to enjoy the rooftop patio but the views of the ocean were great...literally one block from the beach! Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend.

This property was everything we needed. Spotlessly clean, spacious one bedroom. Sink/fridge in the kitchen was adequate to our requirements. Literally steps to the beach and an amazing, private to our unit, large rooftop deck. Loved our stay!

We have been going to Carlsbad for about 4-5 years but wanted to try something different and found this rental. The pictures don't do it justice. It so beautiful, very clean, the owners put a lot of care into this place. They have a notebook full of information on everything on the house. Its literally steps away from the beach. The rooftop is perfect after a long day on the beach but still want to be outside and have some quiet time. The owners walked out and met up as we arrived and let us know if we needed anything to reach out. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Beautiful, high quality renovation and attention to detail in this ocean view apartment over owner's garage. Roof top patio and location were great. Not having a full kitchen worked out because it forced us to try all the nearby food. Nearby crosswalk with easy access to the beach down a long set of stairs. Friendly owners and neighbors, while totally respecting our privacy (very important to us). The only thing we suggest is an easier to use door lock. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was hard to leave!

Cute and clean. Great location. Will definitely stay here again. Only negative is a very small refrigerator and kitchen, but if you plan on eating out, who cares, and there isn’t a TV in the bedroom. Other than that, it was perfect.

This apartment was classic craftsman! It was beautiful, clean, well-equipped and provided an outstanding view— our private rooftop area was spectacular! Our host was quick to respond, and the “apartment guide” binder had everything explained in detail. We really enjoyed our stay and especially loved being just steps away from the beach!

We loved this place. Great location. Even though it is not "beachfront" there are views of the ocean from every room. Roof top deck is great. So clean. I am an interior designer, so I can be picky, and I really think for a couple, this place is Perfection!

This apartment is exactly as the photos show. Very private, quiet location with ocean views. Rooftop deck is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the cool breeze. The layout of the apartment creates a spacious feel. The hosts were friendly but not intrusive. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Highly recommend this to any couple looking for a getaway within walking distance to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We're hoping on being back soon!
