Great waterfront location with very nice master suite overlooking LI Sound. Plenty of space for three couples with a kitchen well stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes/glasses. Nice quite neighborhood that is a little removed from wineries and shopping. For us the location more than offset the little extra time to get to the wineries.

We had a wonderful time at Gary's property in Orient with multi generational family and friends! The view, outdoor space and quiet neighborhood make this a 5+ star location along with Gary's responsiveness. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing, stress free time!

The house was absolutely delightful. Clean and had many amenities just wish the pool could have been cleaner and couldn’t tell if the filters were running. Overall the kitchen was user friendly and the beds and pillows very comfortable. The views are a knockout. Would recommend. The neighborhood when we were there was very quiet.

This house was very nice in a great area. Was a lot larger in person than pictures. We were in town for a wedding and it easily slept 8. Beautiful backdrop into a private beach with a pool. The owner was very easy to communicate with for check in/out. Would recommend to anyone staying

We just returned from our trip in Orient and it was fantastic. Check in was simple. The house was perfect when we arrived. It was spotless. The view from almost every room was incredible. The master suite was huge with a great deck outside. The pool was just right for floating the day away! The steps down to the beach are steep and long but it's well worth the walk. The rocky beach was awesome. It was so quiet and peaceful. The rocks were beautiful. Even spotted some elusive sea glass! Caught some fish right there too. Everything in the house was provided for- dish liquid, paper towels, hand soap, tissues. No details overlooked. Would definitely love to return!

We had an incredible family vacation at Gary's Orient Property and are already planning a return next year! This home is truly special, situated in a wonderful, secluded waterfront spot, that feels like one of a kind on this earth! We stayed with a 3 year old, 1 year old and 3 adults in their 30s and 3 adults in their 60s. Everyone had a wonderful time and the property was perfect for young children. We didn't have to waste time packing for a day at the pool or beach, because both were in the backyard. We found that we used the grill almost everyday, because we wanted to enjoy the views and the property as much as possible. We just got home and already miss all the fun we had and memories we made! The town of Greenport is adorable and provides a wide selection of restaurants and shopping. Our kids had fun at the carousel and we frequented the local farm stands for fresh fruits and veggies daily. We also enjoyed Orient State Beach and took our 3 year old to play on the playground there. It's worth a trip! There's tons to do on the North Fork, between the food, shopping, wineries, boating, biking etc but we found we had the most fun at the house enjoying the views, swimming in the pool and collecting rocks on the beach. If I had to provide any constructive criticisms, I would say that the towels and linens could use some upgrading, but nothing that would prevent my family from returning to this gem in the future! Thank you Gary! We loved every minute!

Beautiful home in a gorgeous location with a spectacular view. The master bedroom is a true highlight with a deck overlooking the water, a huge bathroom and shower, a mini fridge and a small bedroom off the main room that is perfect for a child. The house was well-stocked and spotless. We loved being able to walk down to a pretty private beach, as well as relax in the pool. It was so comfortable and inviting that it really felt like home. The owner was wonderful and quick to respond. Would love to stay here again.

So glad to have chosen to stay at this property. House was big enough to fit my family. Great for kids because there is a private FLAT back yard for them run around while the adults get to enjoy bbq from the grill, fire pit and AMAZING view from the property as well as down the stairs to the private beach. The kids had a blast picking pebbles and skipping rocks. House supplied with everything you need.. linen, towels, beach stuff, fire wood….location is all secluded, nice a peaceful. We can see the sunrise and sunset from this house. Would love to come back again. Close to many wineries (due to kiddos we couldn’t stop by to any lol). Farm stands and close to Greenport (15-20 mins away) for some shops and restaurants.

A gorgeous property with stunning sunset views over the Sound and direct beach access. Panoramic views from the kitchen and living room. Nice outdoor area, including well-maintained steps down to the pebbled beach and a pool. The pool area is well-fortified with gates, fencing, and high door handles for great safety for those with small children. Kitchen was well-stocked enough for us to cook several nice meals (though the oven and stove top took some cleverness to operate). Beautiful master suite with a large balcony and impressive bathroom. There are plenty of other sleeping spaces in the house too, including two other bedrooms suitable for couples with a few single beds/cots tucked away in various places. The house also has a neat library of amusing books for beach reading, as well as very good internet (30 mbps download and 5 mbps upload), which is sufficient for taking virtual meetings, etc. Location is very close to the ferry, so convenient for those traveling this way. Can't recommend highly enough!

We enjoyed a weeklong stay in mid to late November at this home that sits directly on the water. While certainly offseason, we were able to enjoy the great outdoors with walks along the beach and around the nice neighborhood, and the firepit was also a lot of fun when the winds were calm. Our interactions with the owner were all great, and entry and exit procedures were easy. The best assets of the house are the beautifully large windows that give a full view of the sound, and the kitchen and dining area are perfect. Although it didn't bother us much, the great room would be improved with a few more pieces of furniture (armchairs, side tables, rugs) and/or a different layout that allows views of the fireplace, tv, and windows. We didn't end up using the upstairs bedroom, which has the bed in the middle of the room and could also be improved by nightstands, lamps, carpets, drapery, etc.

The house is delightful, the location is amazing, the pool and beach were great, the sunsets were unbelievable, the host was kind and responsive, and the whole experience was all around wonderful. Perfect and delightful week.

I the outdoor views were fantastic! We would leave the place, and ask ourselves why when we came back. The location was wonderful and the Family and I loved it! Also Gary was very prompt when communicating.

The location of this house is beautiful and Orient is charming. However, the maintenance of the property is not what we expected in this price range. The drain stoppers were missing in the downstairs bath and one of the upstairs sinks, light bulbs were out in the dining area, window blinds were broken or didn't work and towels were ratty to name a few specifics. The kitchen was difficult to use as there was no order to where pots, pans and lids were located and some basics like measuring spoons were missing. Some pots and utensils had been put away with food on them.

We really enjoyed our stay. The view was stunning and the local towns were very pretty.

A wonderful and relaxing place by the sea--it was lovely.

Lovely part of the Northfork. This is a great property to unwind and detach from the pace of everyday life. Views are worth it!!! The only issue we had was no hair dryer per amenities list and I would bring more specific pantry items to suit your needs. All in all we would love to go back to Orient and this property.

Stayed for three nights for a girls weekend celebrating a 60th birthday and the house and views are absolutely beautiful.Everything you need is at the house dishes, glasses, silverware, pots and pans etc.Spacious and comfortable for all six of us.Access to the private beach right from the backyard and you can't beat the sunsets. Highly recommend.

A lovely spot in the world, quiet and serene. The water is basically your front yard. Simply lovely.The master suite is a world onto itself with its own deck. It was all we wanted and a little bit more.

If you are looking for a simple, spacious property on the water, this rental fits the bill. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by beautiful homes. Although having all of the basics, the home is somewhat outdated and could use appliance upgrades, inside and outside repairs, better lighting, and restocking/ modernizing of essentials, kitchen equipment and linens/pillows. Our check-in time was 3:00 p.m. but the cleaning crew was there until almost 3:30 p.m., leaving the home with a strong smell of disinfectant for several hours afterward. Despite the initial cleaning, we still washed the kitchen area, utensils, plates, glasses, and appliances as it appeared that the home had not been used for quite some time (or perhaps the last people who used it did not clean up after themselves very well). Even so, we were happy for the four days that we were there, and were appreciative of the spectacular morning and evening views.

This is my family's second time staying at Gary's house and we had another fantastic trip, even better than the first time! The house is spacious, with an enormous master and deck upstairs and an open kitchen and living space downstairs with endless windows looking out onto the gorgeous view outside! The weather was hot so we used the pool for hours every day and took dips in the Sound below. This was the perfect private getaway and I'm looking forward to returning for the third time, soon!
