The house was very nice! Lots of room to spread-out for our group of 12. Great location. Check in was easy - loved having the garage as it was snowing with 60 mile per hour winds! Also appreciated having wood available for the fireplace. The downstairs bedroom with twin beds was cold and felt like a dorm room, fortunately we did not need to use it. Would be nice to have a list of local restaurants. Also would be nice to have some instructions for the TVs. Not sure we used the right dumpster for our trash - more explicit directions would be helpful. Would come back again, maybe in the summer to be able to spend some time outside, as the porches were nice.

This place is massive and at a great location close to the slopes of Hidden Valley Resort. Lots of rooms where all four couples had their own and the kids slept in the multiple bunk beds throughout. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. The three car garage was great for parking! We’re in the process of re-booking for next year! Kathy was great and responsive throughout the process.

What a house for a family vacation with plenty of room to spread out! So many positives...well appointed, clean, attentive host & a beautiful spot to catch up with family. Be sure to research the area as there is not much to do in the summer but there are options if you do your homework.

Great time for all. So many fun things to do and places to see. Zoo nearby was great, hiking and biking, white water rafting, amusement park/ water park and caves to mention a few we enjoyed.

We used this for a summer family get-together. Second year we've stayed here so we obviously liked it a lot. Accommodations were excellent, proximity to pool and the now de rigueur pickleball court was nice. Kitchen was well equipped as well. Perfect setup for our family (my wife has four brothers and a sister).

Huge home with lots of room for our group of 17. Have stayed here multiple times and house has everything we need for our annual golf outing.

Wonderful home for a group. Plenty of room to be all together or for ladies and gentlemen to have some group time separate. Kathy was very responsive to our only issue which was getting access to get in. There is a newer electronic key pad and a push button one mounted on the door moulding. It was unclear which one to use and clearer instructions for using the key pad would have solved the problem. So we had some initial moments of semi panic but Kathy got right back to us. Wonderful stay overall.

Perfect house for a family reunion. Plenty of space and well appointed.

My wife has four brothers and a sister, so ten of us (counting spouses) appreciated the home and layout. Everyone had a great time. Plenty of space to pay games and enjoy ourselves. The pool was also fun. All in all, a memorable experience and we could not have asked for anything more. We had an excellent time.

Our family stayed here July 2022 for 3 nights, ranging in age from 1-67. The house is older, and in need of some updates, but overall I would recommend this house. There were definitely signs of hard wear and tear, the main leather sectional was thread bare, upholstered furniture was heavily used. Some drywall patches in spots. If I’m a homeowner living there I would update. If I’m a homeowner renting it out, it’s not worth putting nice new expensive items in just to get trashed by college kids partying. Everything was clean, sheets and linens too. Beds comfortable. TV is basement was only smart screen - definitely need upgrades in rest of them. Kitchen was properly stocked. One roll of paper towels, we quickly ran out. Could only find one kitchen towel to dry dishes - needed several more. Propane grill was great. We could walk 1/4 mile to nice pool and playground area - kids really enjoyed that.

We spent a ski weekend at Mountain Mansion with five other families celebrating my daughter's 9th birthday. The house was much nicer than the pictures showed, and there was plenty of space for us all. We had a great time!

Our family of 11 adults and 6 young kids had a wonderful stay here for Thanksgiving! The house has lots of rooms to spread out and a beautiful great room to come together. Great amenities like easy to use fireplaces and oversized a garage.

The owner was contacting everyone but me to solve issues we had. I felt like I was talking to everyone but her when trying to resolve a very small problem. Security was nice and understanding. Neighbors barged in the house unannounced and violated me and my family’s privacy. The owner did nothing about this issue. Nothing was broken nor missing and I got charged the max amount for damages. This stay was no good.

The house is great for gatherings. Adults were comfortable in large beds and bedrooms and kids had a great time in basement and bunk room. Perfect for families with kids to meet up.

The property is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and silverware which stepped up rehearsal dinner. Plenty of space Saturday for everyone getting ready for wedding festivities. A little wagon to haul trash would be helpful as we did not bring our truck. Paying for extra covid cleaning you would think I would not need to clean cheetah hand print off a wall in a bunk room. Kathy was very quick to answer questions about which type of coffee maker and if we needed linens! Thank you for an excellent unforgettable family wedding weekend!

Very comfortable and roomy for our large group. Loved the front and back porches. Could use a little bit of maintanence ( toilets especially).

We had a wonderful 4 days with our family. There was plenty of room for all 20 of us. Thoroughly enjoyed the front porch for our morning coffee and the back porch for lunch and/or dinner! The pool, which was a short walk, was a lifesaver for our 12 grand kiddos. Also took advantage of the playground and basketball court. We did feel the house needed a few repairs.

Pros: many bunk beds for kids. Community pool and tennis court. State park to hike in 15 min. Kitchen appliances and washer/dryer were modern. Cons: The room next to the utility room smelled bad and loud due to the furnacr. We couldn't use the room with 2 single bed. Curtains and blinds in the main level and basement were broken, we couldn't close. Doors were old, and there were some holes on the walls and doors. Frying pans were old.

Great host.

We had lots of room to spread out and enjoy the space. The kids had fun in the upstairs bunk beds. We used the main floor fireplace which provided a nice atmosphere. There was plenty of wood. Unfortunately we could not use the downstairs fireplace. It was not cleaned out and ready for use. Also, we love playing pool but the pool table was in disrepair with only one useable cue stick and missing a solid color billiard ball. We could only use one bathtub for kids since the drain stops didn’t work. We had to open up the valve in the master bedroom toilet, because no water was flowing....not ready for use. There were old cigar butts in the ashtray on the deck table. The bunk beds in the lower level were wobbly and not safe. The dining room chairs we’re coming apart and wobbly. The TVs were outdated. Even with these shortcomings we enjoyed ourselves because it was very roomy with a great first floor fireplace in a nice neighborhood with playground.

We had the best time. The house was warm with single digit temperatures outside. Plenty of room for large groups, even a crib readily available. Each room provided clean towels and extra blankets. Firewood was chopped and ready to go. Easy instructions without too many rules to follow. Also, enough silverware and plates for a large group. We had the best time and would love to come back again!

This house and location was perfect for our family reunion! The common space was great for our dinners, talking and games. The playground was a short walk away and we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. We needed to go into Somerset for an event and it is only a 15-20 minute easy drive. We enjoyed our stay!

Place was perfect for family reunion.

We loved mountain mansion. It’s was impressively equipped with everything you need. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space for the kids and adults to hang out either together or separate in the evenings. Plenty of hot water for showers which is very important when living with 20+people. Great location, on Hidden Valley resort and short drive via the fire road to Seven Springs. Loved it!

House was very well suited to our family reunion. Great space for kids and adults, and the great room could fit all of us for games and meals. The fireplace was a real highlight and we had it going for our whole stay. Kids loves having their own room for games downstairs. Location excellent for both Hidden Valley and Seven Springs. We were here for two nights - the property totally fit the bill for what we needed - very comfortable and spacious - plenty of room for us all.

House was clean and in order, everything was there that you would need to cook for a large family. Location was great easy drive to get places and may things to do locally. Within a ten minute drive. House worked awesome for 3 generations, teenagers and kids could hang out in the basement and adults upstairs. First floor master bath with walk in shower was awesome for our family with mobility issues, sloping front walk way into front of house with only a couple steps was an added plus for ease of entry to the house. Porches were amazing great place for the little kids to run around and play ball and bubbles while adults could play games at the outdoor table. Owner was great to work with and had wonderful suggestions for meals, and shopping. House was peaceful and if you have a cool week, open the windows! Huge windows made it very comfortable no AC was needed. Had a great week in a wonderful house.

We had a family reunion over a long summer weekend and this home worked very well for the large group. We enjoyed the large back deck and front porch (both large enough for corn hole) as well as the pool table on the lower level. Well supplied kitchen, linens, etc. The owner is very easy to work with. We also enjoyed the proximity to Laurel Hill State Park, and the ski resorts. Will rent again if it fits our plans in the future.
