Loved staying at the Lucky Penny! There was plenty of room for our group of 12 friends and the house was very clean. Close to the beach and a short distance to great restaurants and bars!

Last year we started taking family vacations to celebrate my beating colon cancer. We had lived in Puerto Rico in the 1990's and enjoyed our time so we decided to return. Best vacation yet!! The house and amenities were awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the house; location, pool, kitchen and gathering rooms. We were very sad to leave.

Peter was extremely responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend!

The house was beautiful, clean and conveniently close to the beach. There were some maintenance issues but the owner quickly responded to messages and addressed most of the concerns. The hot tub attached to the pool does not have the option to be heated which seems like a missed amenity. Most concerns were minor but did affect the quality of our stay (shower that pools water back into the bedroom, unevenly slanted pool table, outside furniture with mold spots). These issues although minor did start to add up but could easily be addressed for future guest. The overall style of the house is very nice and the owner was accommodating.

Wonderful property. Peter was a great host and quickly rectified a small issue with one of the AC units. Super easy to message and check in. House was top notch and great location. 100% would stay here again

My family of 7 adults, ranging in age from 75-24, and my two children stayed for a week at Peter’s property. The home provided all the space and amenities that we needed. Several days we didn’t even leave! Peter was great about answering all our questions and making sure we were set up for the experiences and excursions that we wanted to have. The home is well loved, but very clean and fully stocked. Thanks!

The house was clean and had everything we needed. It is close to the beach, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Peter was amazing; very responsive and always available. He stays is touch to ensure you are having a positive experience and takes care of issues immediately. The entire family loved the place and can't wait for the next vacation at The Lucky Penny!

The property was very clean and fully equipped for our seven adults and three small children. The location is awesome. It is a 15 minute walk to great food options. The parking pad holds two cars. Also, very secure safe residential neighborhood. Highly recommend.

The house is stunning!!! all the bedroom are so comfortable, the kitchen is fully stock, everything works perfectly. The proximity to the beach is perfect for sunsets, and restaurants and bars are a very short distance either walking or car. Peter, responded to any of my questions right away. No one negative thing to say!!! Puerto Rico is a beautiful island and I hope to go back in the near future.

This was an amazing experience. Peter was so helpful and easy to communicate with about any questions. We had a private chef which was an amazing experience. I would love to return on w future trip here. We all had our own space. Each room was adequate and comfortable. I appreciate such great hospitality.

This place is amazing, spacious, clean, and just a fun place to be. it is HUGE, and the location is very ideal. The kitchen is next level as well. Peter was really helpful and communicative.

Overall, we had a great time staying at this property! Pros: It was close to the beach and really easy to walk there plus had pool towels and beach chairs. The rooms all were very clean and a lot of space for people to sleep comfortably. It was nice that all the bathrooms were connected as well. We loved the rooftop and it was perfect for sunsets. The pool area was clean and a great amount of space for everyone to hang out in. Everyone felt safe there as well. The kitchen was well stocked and had enough space in the fridge for all our things. Showers were also stocked with some shampoo/conditioner if anyone forgot. Peter was quick to answer questions and did let us drop off luggage early. Cons: My biggest con was they didn't allow a late check out. I understand it's a big house with a lot to clean for the next people, but I had looked online and saw no guests checking in for a couple more days so it would have been nice to have a couple extra hours at the pool (we would have even paid extra to be able to stay longer). The chairs outside are kind of moldy on some of the edges. Again understand it's a humid location with lots of rain, but they should maybe change them out more often. The tub in the main bathroom is cracked as well as the stovetop. There were also fruit flys in the kitchen the first day that were so bad we had to cover our drinks with paper towels while we were in the kitchen. Also, the last stair going up the first staircase is higher than all the others and almost everyone did trip so just remember it's there! Overall we had a great time and would stay here again, just wish there was a bit more flexibility.

Couples vacation to celebrate birthdays 🥳 We had a great time and enjoyed Puerto Rico very much the house was beautiful and plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the pool. It was close to the beach. The beach directly in front of the house was rockier than I expected but you were in walking distance of several gorgeous beaches. We very much enjoyed the rooftop terrace spent many afternoons up there after the sun was off of the pool. All the beds were very comfortable but one of the bedrooms didn’t have a TV in the third level bedroom the TV was very close to the floor and hard to see. Overall a great experience I highly recommend going into old San Juan and doing Miramar food trucks. And if you’re extra adventurous do the monsters zipline it was awesome!

This was a weekend gathering of 11 friends from college from all over the US. The house was fantastic: plenty of bedrooms, plenty of space for sleeping, capacious kitchen and gathering area/living room, great swimming pool, excellent proximity to the beach, and excellent communication with the owner. I will definitely stay here again.

My family and I travel A LOT and we always use vacation homes like this instead of hotels. We are a responsible family and always leave our vacation homes just as we arrived. Now, with Lucky Penny, we were initially very excited to be in such a beautiful house. The pictures made this place look like everyone’s dream home and on arrival we were quickly disappointed. From uneven stairs (causing many near falls), to cracked bathtubs, random holes in the walls, exposed wires, molded outdoor furniture, and a falsely advertised heated pool. Many of the imperfections we overlooked since we were only going to be there for 2 nights, but when it came to the pool, which is the main amenity we look for in a house, we had to speak up. When we brought the extremely cold pool temperature to Peter’s attention, he was VERY rude and blamed our lack of knowledge of a heated pool on the time of year, even though we come to PR every January. He begrudgingly changed the temperature from a supposed 82-85 degrees Fahrenheit. This must have upset him that we weren’t happy with the pool because a few hours after we had checked out we were surprised with an accusatory text from Peter stating that we broke their cooktop. This was a shock to us as we never even cooked in the house let alone touch the cooktop. Peter continued to bully me through texts trying to get out of me that someone in our family broke the top and that we should fix the damage. We of course did not break the cooktop and are now in a claim dispute to get our security deposit back. My suggestions to anyone who is desperate to stay here, take pictures of EVERYTHING. Peter is clearly not an amicable host and will quickly try to ruin your trip over false claims.

We chose the Lucky Penny to host our family vacation because of it's size, pool, and location to the beach. We were so happy with the place! We all enjoyed the pool, but especially our grandchildren. We had 4 couples, 3 young adults and 2 children. There were beautiful areas for everyone to spread out and relax. The beds were all super comfortable, and we had everything we could have needed for our stay there. Peter was very prompt in answering any questions we had and was a terrific host. BEST family vacation ever. We'll be back for sure!
