Amazing & clean place to rent

Our stay was a whole experience. From the day we arrived, until checkout everything was perfect. From the views, to the location, to the daily breakfast and cleaning service provided by Glenda. Waking up to the view of the sun and beach was priceless. I highly recommend and will definitely be back soon!

The penthouse is very nice, clean and with very nice views in all they rooms( even the bathrooms ). Glenda ( the maid) is very nice and helpful. However if you want privacy while you stay in the apartment this may not be for you. Glenda comes around 8 am and leaves around 2 pm. My family and I felt that we were not free to be ourselves because there was another set of eyes with us all the majority of the day. Also, we had a friend over for lunch one of the days and we had a hard time getting her in because her name was not in the list of occupants. Overall it is a nice place but having a maid in the apartamento should be an option you add or decline. My family definitely had prefer waving that option. Also the building policies are a little bit extreme if you can not invite a friend over for lunch or dinner.

This place exceeded my expectations. Incredible views and very well appointed. Glenda our housekeeper / chef was awesome. Would highly recommend this place:)

Very clean and really nice location in front of the beach, excellent views. Glenda keeps the place clean. Her break fast is very good. The only inconvenience is that the jacuzzi doesn’t work. Other than that this is a great places for a big group of people. Thank you very much

We absolutely LOVED staying here. We enjoyed the penthouse for 7 days and were so sad to leave. 360 degree of the most incredible views ever. From one side, the entire Caribbean ocean, and from the other side, views of the entire city and bay. The penthouse is Very roomy and comfortable offering pretty much anything we needed. Location was fantastic and convenient, but also more private than other beaches. The building is very secure and always felt safe. We loved it so much we actually purchased a three bedroom apartment on the 21st floor with the same views as the penthouse! I know, crazy, but we couldn’t pass it up! Glenda, our maid was excellent, she cooked our breakfast every morning, Kept the penthouse spotless and even finished whatever laundry we had started. The common areas in the building, the infinity pool, jacuzzi, sauna, everything was awesome. We couldn’t be more grateful to the owners and Glenda for the accommodations!! Thank you so much

The building is very secure with 24 hour security. I stayed there with two other friends and it meet our needs. I could see how this would be a wonderful rental for families. For a group of guys we probably should have stayed in the walled city as this was not as convenient as it sounds. The good: Glenda was the highlight of this rental as she prepares coffee and breakfast every morning and works very hard at keeping the place clean. I hope we tipped her well enough as she earned every penny. The location is centrally located in between the airport and the walled city which is where we went most days. There is Uber service in Cartagena and it is ridiculously cheap, you may need to wait 10 minutes or so but it is so easy. We usually ended up getting the black service as it was only about a dollar more. There is a grocery store located near by which is convenient but just be mindful it is not open 24 hours a day so if you are arriving late as we did you will need to wait to till the next day. This is not an area most people would feel comfortable walking around at night. During the day it is fine, no problems and you would feel safe but at night when everything is closed it can feel a bit uncomfortable. Improvements: The main room does not cool down, this is the disadvantage of having the wonderful high ceilings. The bedrooms are nice and cool but the main area seems to always be warm, a ceiling fan would probably help. Make sure to get the floor and apartment number from Ana prior to arrival if you do not speak spanish. The front desk security did not speak english and while having a key is nice, not knowing where it goes doesn't do much good. Not something fun to deal with after traveling 12 hours and arriving past midnight. The TV in one of the bedrooms upstairs was not plugged in and the nearest outlet was 5 feet away, not sure if an extension cord went missing but needless to say no tv in that bedroom. The third day the cable was out and we were told it was a building issue, worked fine the next day. Finally, I asked several times prior to arrival if we could set up massages, no response to the question until the second to last day of our stay, I had our itinerary planned for weeks so this was a no go. I would recommend this rental to families and very large groups that can speak spanish. For a smaller party or non spanish speaking visitors I would recommend something within the walled city. Great location. The apartment is well situated between the airport and old city. Well within walking distance, about a 15 minute walk to the old city. Views were great, and the owner Ana was very accommodating with our needs. Daily service was provided by Glenda who makes a delicious breakfast and is very attentive to my family’s needs. Overall a positive experience and we look forward to booking the property again in the future. Thank you Ana for assisting us with our requests.

Was a little pricey for the value given other rentals in the area. Overall the apartment was clean the daily maid service was great. The properties amenities are noteworthy - workout facilities (machines and free weights), community hot tub and infinity pool overlooking the ocean...nice! This isn’t the spot for parties though, the owner has strict visitation policy.

Ana’s Place in Cartagena is the only place you should consider staying at. My friends and I were fortunate to be able to book her Penthouse last minute and we are glad we did. It looks just as in the picture. The place was extra clean and had great climate control which is a must with the heat and humidity in Cartagena. The Views are amazing. The maid Glenda is awesome. Ana was very responsive and helpful with special request. I would recommend her Penthouse to all who plan on visiting Cartagena. Thank you Ana !!!!

The apt is as pictured with ample space for a large family or several couples. A split plan with bedrooms both upstairs and down make for a comfortable arrangement. A short, (5 or 10 minutes), inexpensive taxi ride takes you to El Centro and Bocagrande. The location is away from those high traffic areas yet easily accessible. The owner Ana is responsive to inquiries and was most helpful. The housekeeper Glenda was pleasant and willing to prepare additional meals upon request. It was delightful to have breakfast prepared daily and light housekeeping performed. A must use ammenity is the pool area that features a length of the building infinity pool that provides spectacular views of the beach and Caribbean. Hot tubs on either end are not heated but still relaxing. Be sure to reserve the bbq grill on the pool deck with Ana prior to traveling to ensure availability. There are multiple TVs throughout the apt and Bluetooth stereo for entertainment. The building also features 24 hour front door reception that provides security and a sense of well being. All of the front door staff were professional and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will rebook this apt if we return to Cartagena.

I spent the week surrounding New Years Eve at Ana’s condo and let me just say it was amazing! The property looked exactly how it does in the photos and the views surrounding the penthouse were literally worth every dime! Literally, there is not a room without some great view of the city or beach. The property was in a great location (only a few dollars cab ride to the Old City, Bocagrande, and Getsemani). And the building itself is very secure. After we saw how extensive the check in process was, 24 hr security guard, and that the doors remained locked, we felt right at home. Glenda, our housekeeper, was THE BEST! Cooked amazing food! As for Ana, great host! During our time there, she was able to schedule massages for us (so good and so cheap!) as well as help me out with planning a surprise for my friends. Any questions that I had, she was right there and available either through WhatsApp or phone. She made planning my first international group trip a breeze. All in all, my group had a great time and I had many positive reviews from my group stating they loved the trip!

The city and ocean views from this place are amazing. You can walk right across the street to the beach. The pool was closed but the owner gave us a discount, and anyway the beach is right across the street. The maid was so nice and was a great cook. I have no idea why another reviewer said the place wasn't as big as he thought it would be, its very spacious. And there's a huge shower that has full views of the beach and city. I loved that the neighborhood was authentic Cartagena where you could walk a couple blocks and have a beer or a meal with the locals who where all very friendly, and if you want something fancier the Ibis hotel is right next door with great drinks and food. You can get anywhere in the city cheaply and easily as cabs come by constantly. Also the owner was very helpful with questions we had about places to go in Cartagena, she was available every day. I highly recommend staying here. Also the outdoor deck overlooking the ocean is amazing, I will never forget the views, the warm ocean breezes at night, and the sea birds that fly by so closely. Notes: I highly recommend getting a day pass at the Hilton (about $20 and a $3 cab ride away), there are 4 pools, a water slide, a swim up bar and beach access. Aaaand until they get their act together you can actually go for free as they track nothing. They also have a kids club and free cotton candy and/or snow cones. Our kids LOVED this place. If you have kids the mall has an awesome kids area.

I was looking for a beach front property with a pool. When we arrived we were told the pool was closed so we had no pool for the week we were there. The owner told we that the property was on the beach but in actually it was across the street. The owner also told me that the property was in the most exclusive part of Cartagena, far from the truth. The building was not bad and the apparent was nice. The neighborhood was ugly. On the good note, it was very well located. Less then five minutes from airport and five minutes from old town where all the action is. The place could use a bit of TLC

I recently stayed in this penthouse with a group of friends while visiting Cartagena, and we were all THRILLED with the entire experience. The apartment is located in a beautiful, secure building overlooking the ocean, and is just as gorgeous as it looks in the pictures. There was plenty of space for the whole group, and we made great use of the infinity pool (located downstairs), the jacuzzi tub, the balcony for some amazing views every morning when we woke up, and the in-unit washing machine and dryer. All four bedrooms in the apartment have views of the city and/or ocean, and are air-conditioned. The apartment was in perfect shape when we arrived, and the housekeeper was wonderful as well. She was there every day to cook breakfast and lunch (authentic Colombian dishes) for us, and it was some of the best food I've ever eaten. We loved having the opportunity to stay here. You can easily get to the ocean, right across the street, and it's just a short taxi ride to get into the Old City. Would definitely recommend staying here! I can't wait to stay here again the next time I visit Cartagena!!

Pros: The penthouse is a great condo, with great views in all directions. Good security to access the building as well. The housekeeper is very sweet, and willing to do everything including cook great breakfasts each day of our stay. We bought food, she cooked it. And was very willing to do any cleaning, etc. that we needed. Ground transportation point person from the airport was provided by the owner (extra charge). Great service, highly recommend. Easy access to taxis for any transportation needs from the condo. Cons: There are ants all over the condo. I reached out to the owner on multiple occasions after arriving but did not hear back at all. I bought ant spray at the local market within walking distance, but they kept coming back. The washer leaked water from the utility room into the kitchen. There is mold in the master closet, with a stain on the ceiling, causing a musty smell throughout the master bedroom. The first day, the TV did not stay on, so I reached out to the owner. We did not receive a response. Good news is the TV worked fine the next day and the remainder of our stay. Overall, we recommend this condo for a large family (we had 7 adults and we were comfortable), the location is easy from the airport, and easy to the walled city. Just that the condo needs updating, and the owner needs to be more responsive. Thanks!

This fantastic apartment building is only a mile outside of the center of town. It is beautiful and the security is very strict. If your guests are not written down on their manifest, they will not be able to come in, so you have been warned. The help in the apartment is fantastic and we felt that we were treated like kings and queens. Many thanks to Ana for her fine hospitality.
