We love Joanie's little place. Perfect location for everything! This is our 3rd time there!

Tropical Breeze is a nice studio with enough kitchen equipment to prepare simple meals, a clean cosy living area and very comfortable bed. The large airy bathroom is a plus and there is ample closet and storage space to tuck away your belongings. The shared private back yard and use of the pool is a wonderful bonus! Beautiful Kailua beach is a short stroll away and beach towels, chairs, boogie boards are provided for guest use. The property owner, Joanie is a very gracious and helpful hostess. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tropical Breeze!!

Property manager Misty didn't call back to give check in instruction when I called. Granted we were checking in on Christmas Day so we were understanding of the delayed response. She never called back but texted instead after I texted her on Christmas Eve. However, when we got to the place, both the TV and WiFi didn't work. The following are her exact response...Judge for yourself the type of Hospitality you can expect. "There's power outages from the weather Internet isn't working at most of our houses in Kailua I'm shocked you have electricity" By the way, besides the ants, you can also expect cockroaches. I killed 4 during our 9 day stays even though we were very mindful not to keep any food trash inside and cleaned after ourselves every night. However, you can't beat the location. We walked everywhere...Kalapawai Market, Buzz's, & Kailua downtown with private access to Kailua beach. The owner was kind enough to introduce herself when informing us she was turning on the sprinklers. We appreciated that.

This apartment was perfectly set up for a beach stay. The outdoor shower is great for rinsing off sand and the indoor shower is also huge. We would spend our days at the beach (1 minute away through a private entrance) and then walk to Kailua downtown for dinner (about 20 minutes away). The landlord and property owner were especially accommodating. Instead of renting a car, we had rented our own canoe and they let us store it in the backyard.

We are pleased with The service provided in renting this property. Communication was as expected, the property is as described. Seamless.

We have been stayed this property for these 12years. We can't wait for next vist.

Very easy to rent, but popular so rent early.

Very nice and private area, definitely a great escape from busy Honolulu! Beach was a little over a minute walk and was great to have so close day or night! Washer and dryer was definitely helpful! Owner very nice! Thank you!

Wonderful little place - nothing modern but certainly charming. The one issue I experienced was some displeasure from the homeowner when we used the pool even though it’s included in the rental. They were upset because they thought our sunscreen made the water cloudy and suggested we not wear it. On another occasion they mentioned we were being loud while swimming although I did not think our volume was anything but appropriate. We just didn’t feel welcome in the pool. I’d rather it just not be included in the rental than have it included but not feel welcome. Otherwise this was a fantastic rental!

This cottage was perfect for me as I was traveling alone for a week's stay. Location is everything! I loved being able to walk to Kalapawai Market for morning coffee, and it is just a couple doors down to Kailua Beach, the best beach on the island. Parking was easy and the accommodations were clean and convenient. The neighborhood was nice and surprisingly quiet at night. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. The cottage is definitely "rustic" and there was a little evidence of ant activity, but nothing concerning; generally everything was clean, well stocked, and in good working order. I would gladly stay here again!

We had a very enjoyable time. The place was very clean, bathroom was huge, bed was comfortable, and location cannot be beat!

Semi private studio adjacent to owner's house. Clean and well furnished. Maybe a bit too much furniture for just a couple. Large bathroom area with walk in shower. Nice open outdoor area shared with the other unit in back of owner's house. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, plus boogie boards were available for use and appreciated.

Could not get any closer to ocean. Rental super clean and well maintained. Beach chairs etc were all in good working order. Misty was extremely helpful with all our silly questions. We are older and technologically inept so all help was appreciated. Would definitely stay here again. Met the owner and found her to be super nice and very accommodating. Highly recommend unless your days conflict with mine, LOL.

This lovely private residence is the perfect vacation retreat. The location in famous Kailua Town offers breezes and white sand beaches with any water sports you desire, nearby shopping and dining and lots to do nearby. The cottage is clean, fully equipped and perfect for a couple. Everything works in the cute kitchenette and spacious bathroom. Fresh towels, nice linens and a washer/dryer allow you to be comfy. Island decor, cable TV, Wi Fi and private pool are the icing on the cake. I will send friends and return myself. Mahalo to the property managers who were responsive when I made the reservation. Aloha!

Our 7th stay here and still love the old Hawaiian charm of the cottage. Peaceful, close to the beach and downtown Kailua. Born and partially raised here I love coming home to Kailua every year. It’s akways a delight to see Joanie. The only thing I noticed this year was the presence of aunts. Tho she took measures to control it. Aloha tropical breeze. See you next year.
