Great place and hosts. Will book again

We had a great time at our place. Great location to the town and beach. Place was clean and ready early for us. Our host was Awesome!! She kept us informed on everything right up to the day we arrived. Thank you for that! 😊

This is an amazing property!!! We stayed for 8 days in the lower 2 bedroom unit. It is a very nice modern comfortable place. Very clean upon arrival, check in process & entry was seamless. The unit is well stocked w/ everything you could need or want (paper towels, soaps, TP, body wash, trash bags). Plenty of dishes and cook ware. The beds were comfortable w/ lots of pillows. They also provide an air mattress that is quite comfortable & stays inflated!! Location is hard to beat for the price, neighbor hood is quiet & clean w/ a 5 min walk to the beach, restaurants, shops etc... One bonus for us was all the beach gear they provide like chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards & very large beach towels. They also provide 2 parking spots. We reccommend nothing larger than a sedan as the parking in the drive way can be a bit cramped. They property manager was very friendly and promptly replied to all inquiries. We will absolutely be staying again!!

Our family (four adults) spent Christmas break at the Wave! It was fabulous. Sparkling clean, with all of the things you need to have a great vacation! Even a holiday plant was waiting on our arrival!

The place was perfect. Clean, modern, comfy. We would stay again!! We hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for our son and some of his fellow Marines who are at stationed Camp Pendleton. The place was close to everything.

The condo was in a great location. A nice walk to the village and very convenient for the beach. The condo was modern and very clean. Things were great !!

Enjoyed our stay. Comfortable big beds which is a big plus! Clean place.

COVID-19 ruined our annual Hawai'i trip...WAAAAAAHHHHH!!! Since hubby and I had time off, we decided to do something a little bit local, but far enough to feel like we were away from Orange County. So, we traveled south to Carlsbad. We packed up the kids and headed to the 2 bed 2 bath Wave unit in the Swell building. We were fortunate to be given early check in. Self check in was a breeze with the emailed instructions. Super cool feature: ELECTRONIC LOCKS! I felt like I was using The Force every time I waved my hand in front of the lock. There is a shed full of beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, a couple of soft top surfboards, umbrellas, and I think some canopies. Barbecues have dedicated gas lines. Oh, there's a game room! We got my son off the electronics long enough for a spirited game of foosball...the game room also includes Ms Pacman, an old school pinball machine and shuffleboard. There is also an outdoor shower with HOT WATER that my surfer dude relished. Speaking of hot water...on day 2, hubby went out for dawn patrol. When he came back from his early AM surf, he was looking forward to a hot shower. Our shower would not heat up! The other shower and every faucet in the unit ran hot water, but for some reason, our bathroom shower did not. I texted property management, they promptly replied, came in an hour to verify my findings, and sent a plumber to make repairs. Thank goodness for the in-unit washer and dryer. I threw in a beach towel in the dryer to defrost my hubsicle. Great management, awesome property. We hope to check out their other rentals! We appreciate the amenities and know we'll be taken care of should the need arise.

To begin, the property is nice, and it is clean but that should be a given, still it was nice to have a clean place to stay. But. The manager who I communicated with was not helpful, in fact her emails conveyed a lack of interest in answering my questions which continued even after we checked in. When you look at the pictures there are a few that are a bit misleading. Pic 14/20 shows and ocean view which is laughable, the Wave Suite has zero ocean view, just a view of the stairs and houses across the street. In fact that picture was taken from the second story from the West end of the building, no other suite in this entire building has an ocean view. Also, the pic of the garage is a bit misleading, all garages are open to each other so if you want to keep any valuables in there (bikes for example) you should know that anyone can open their garage and ride off. Furthermore they never change the garage code so ANYONE from the past can stop by and take what they want which defies what any rational person would do; how is this safe? Last but certainly not least and the biggest reason I gave this such a low rating was the noise inside our suite from the suite on the second floor. I specifically asked them when I first contacted them, "How is the noise from above?" Can you hear guests from above? She replied, "This is an old apt. building, super well built, you will not be disturbed." LOL. You can hear EVERY SINGLE STEP, adult, child, it doesn't matter, back and forth, back and forth over and over again. It amazes me that people can relax with that going on. If you don't mind hearing every footstep above at all hours, and you don't mind a view of the stairs, this is a great place to stay. We will not be back.

Wonderful condo! Three minute walk to the beach and the storage shed has everything you could ever want for a fun day at the beach! Perfect for those who want to cook in because the kitchen is well stocked and there are several grills! The location couldn't be better, quick walk to the village. The game room is fun for all ages:-)

We had a wonderful stay in this unit. It was updated and in great condition, clean & well-organized (clear instructions & labeling on everything from AC units, remotes, game room, etc.). The location and proximity to beach and village is excellent. We highly recommend!

We had such a great week at this place. We were two blocks away from the beach. Ten minutes away from the downtown. It was perfect with our teenagers - they could hang out in the game room, grab some of the beach equipment or use the "very fast" Wifi. High end kitchen and very good laundry. Not a thing that we'd change!

We had the best time! We had everything we needed and the place was nicely remodeled. The game room was so much fun and the brand new air mattress was perfect for the girls to have a sleep over. Walking distance to the beach, downtown Carlsbad and the train station was awesome. The beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys were great too! Can’t wait to come back next year!

We had a great time. Perfect location. A quiet block, you wouldn’t want to be closer to the beach or Carlsbad Village. The condo was tastefully decorated and comfortable. Access to a game room was ideal with teenagers, as well as access to a ton beach toys. We spent a few nights cooking in at the outdoor grill or we took the cruiser bikes into Carlsbad Village. Just what we wanted.

This property is beautifully and thoughtfully designed! Families, couples, single travelers would find this a perfect place for short term or long term stays. Jen, Mary and Nancy take care of all of your needs and are attentive/responsive without being intrusive. The property is walking distance to the beach. Everything you need for a beach day is available: chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, etc. One of the garages has been converted to a game room which all guests share. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay Jen, Mary and Nancy! We stayed for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer!

Great space and super nice remodel! Stayed there with my husband and 9 month old. Good area for kids. Loved that it was so close to the beach. We didn’t even need to use our car unless we wanted to vunture out

This is our 2nd time staying at this property. Last time was with my husband’s family and we rented out the whole top floor. This trip was just our family. We came back for many reasons! 1. The distance to the beach 2. The size and cleanliness of the units Are our top reasons for coming back. The game room is great for kids and adults! All the supplies you could need for the beach they had. It’s just the perfect location!! It will be our new family vacation spot! Also, management is great! We did not need to contact them this time but our last visit they were so easy and helpful when we needed them.
