It's a good place for a vacation. After checkout was sent an email saying I broke a bowl, stole a hair dryer and a pillow, $90. No way any of that is real. I will reverse on my Credit card. We stayed a month and being on the third floor and handling the gate got to feel painful. Center or Tamarindo. House is big and many parts nice but stairs inside seemed nearly dangerous - slippery and slanted. Couch was the most uncomfortable thing - just soft boxes and pillows. Aircon smelled old all the time. Balconies also has very uncomfortable chairs.

The beds and linens were very comfortable. While we were there we had a few maintenance issues but they were looked after immediately. We had several maintenance issues along with stained bed sheets. I had to visit the office daily to have them addressed. Most disappointing issue was missing items from our condo. We were told we did not have to be present when maintenance was in unit. We also believe cleaning staff were in our unit when we did not give permission. The unit itself was sufficient with everything you may need. I am assuming various ants and other bugs are common to have in your accommodations, just alarming when they are in your bed. We love Costa Rica and will not let this affect our last few days here at a beautiful beachfront hotel. Nor will it detour us from future visits to Tamarindo. They worn you to put valuables in the safe but didn’t think that meant my Nike running shoes! The location of the unit is great. Easy walk to beach and many awesome restaurants! Pura Vida T & J

The location is very close to all the action. Very close to shops, restaurants and the beach. The pool is amazing. The unit is very well equipped and clean. The kitchen is very nice with a new fridge. The only thing we missed is a kettle. We enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again in 2021.

Spacious and clean property,well maintained and any minor issues we had were swiftly taken care of.Weather was bright and sunny everyday,pool was well maintained and a nice change from the beach.Definitely re-booking.

We enjoyed our stay. Had a little difficult locating the property initially, but a phone call to manager helped locate it easily

Property was located just a couple minute walk to all the stores and the beach. The place was very spacious and clean. My only complaint was that I had to check in on Sunday. Since their Tamarindo office is closed, I had to go to their Langosta office which is about 1.5miles away. It was pretty inconvenient considering I had already been dropped off hours before checkin was available. Otherwise, great place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was well equipped, The location was close to the beach, the Saturday farmers market, the Mercado and numerous restaurants.

I would not hesitate to stay at this property again. My kids and I had an awesome time! It is everything they advertise and more. The property managers are very responsive to questions and inquiries.

The condo was beautifully decorated, clean, and fully stocked. We were travelling with two young children and didn't worry about a thing once we arrived. Amazing location, so close to everything! Used the pool daily and it was always very clean. We had a few maintenance issues while we were there that were dealt with extremely promptly. Would highly recommend and we are hoping to be back one day.

Reviewer Comments: On arrival the apartment block looked a little bit 'weathered' but as soon as we got inside we saw that the apartment was spacious and well maintained. Everything we needed was there. Kitchen equipment was ample and well thought out. Both bedrooms were comfortable with ensuite bathrooms. The only improvement we might have looked for was a better cooker as this one was a little older and hard to control. This is a minor detail though. In general the apartment was excellent and really good value. As others have said it is a two minute walk from the beachfront but beautifully quiet at night. Some have mentioned the pool being cold but we found it constantly warm. There is secure parking and 24/7 security presence. The rental.company were efficient and friendly. The maid service was quick and unobtrusive. There is no laundry room as such but there is a commercial laundry in the nearby mini-mall that charges $2 per kilo for a service wash. All in all this was an ideal place to stay in Tamarindo. I would return again if visiting Tamarindo.

The property was in prime location, close (like less than 3 blocks) to the ocean and restaurants, half a block from a grocery store. Shady with a nice breeze all day. It was near every thing we needed. I suggest El Be for happy hour, music and sunset. A few minor problems. When we arrived the hot water faucets didn't work in either of the bathrooms. We reported it and a repairman came promptly and fixed one of them while we were out to lunch. The other one never did get fixed. We were supposed to have maid service one day with a 7 day stay. That never happened. Our WiFi went out halfway through our stay. Annoying, but not the end of the world. We did end the trip on a bad note, however, when the office said they would have a taxi lined up to return us to the airport (they had done that for our arrival). No taxi showed up. My husband went over to the office and the gentleman with whom we had made the arrangements wasn't in. No one else seemed to know anything about it. We ended up having to find our own cab at the last minute and ended up riding the hour to the airport in an old junk car with no air conditioning. Very disappointing.

But, this time I had airline miles and didn't want to spend a fortune for a room. I thought about a hostel this time since I was going by myself... but, the prices for a single room approached renting a condo. So, I checked into condo prices and locations. I found La Cometa and found the prices to be fair in comparison to other units. THERE WERE CHEAPER... BUT, I loved the space, balconies and roof terrace. There was a 2 day WiFi glitch that was a drag.. but was repaired as fast as they could get it done. The only issues that I saw were that the kitchen had many baby roaches in the kitchen. Also the bed covers needed to be washed as they smelled. The unit I was in had a moldy smell in the front bedroom possibly from the shower area or A/C and the shower was a trickle. Also, the people who lived there smoked and threw their butts everywhere. Also, the girl in a unit across from me had a Yoga class going on 3 days a week at 5 pm from her condo. So several people who didn't live there were in and out of the place or on the roof top. In a word.. it's TAMARINDO.. and their really aren't any rules other than what the MGMT team allows. The owner of the MGMT service was friendly initially and came through on the WIFI. His team was professional and were great!I would stay there again and hope that the small issues can be rectified for future renters.
