It is a beautiful place to stay with amazing views from most rooms of the house. Three decks to take in the views. And convenient to Friday Harbor. The house was livable, but a bit tired in the carpeting and kitchen. The kitchen was overstocked in dishes, but lacked simple necessities like Saran Wrap & laundry detergent. A railing of some sort going down to the house might have been helpful to avoid slipping.

The location is idyllic- fabulous views from the great room, decks, and 2 of the bedrooms. The house is dated to the 80’s (mauve carpeting in the master bedroom) and needs updating. But it was clean and furnished conveniently and appropriately. The routine maintenance inspections are in order by the house leaning crew. (1) the water control in the hall bath does not work, making the tub/shower inoperable. Theee were two of us so we managed. It with 6 occupants, having only one functional shower would have been a problem!. (2) the coffee mailer is broken; (3) the microwave doesn’t work. These were inconvenienced and should be addressed in a high-price rental.

We've traveled everywhere but this special location in the good 'ol USA tops the list for a magical family and friends experience. The sunset was majestic while we ate an amazing BBQ dinner, listening to our favorite John Denver music and all singing around the bonfire. We shall return!!

Absolutely loved this property. It has the most amazing view. Took some beautiful shots of the sunrise and sunset. Very quiet location. Would love to stay there again.

This house is in such an amazing location and we even got to see Orcas from the back patio. Down side for this property is it's managed by a large property management company and it shows...wasn't as clean as they claimed considering they would not allow ANY time for a little late or early check in due to all the extra Covid cleaning they were supposedly doing. I'm also a host and always try to allow for at least 30 minutes on either end. The house is adorable but very dated. Bed wasn't horrible but wasn't very comfortable either and only queen beds. Lot's of wasps on the patio which was a disappointment since we love to sit on the deck and have wine and play cards. Internet wasn't working upon arrival and when I called the company she said she'd get back with me but never did until the next day when I had to call again. Eventually we got that running and our stay here was pretty amazing and because of the location I'd rent this place again!

The place was perfect for our group. Breathtaking views draw you out to the gorgeous deck, which is the place to be. We grilled salmon one night and chicken the next. We do recommend yellow jacket traps as there were lots and one of us (me) got stung. Ouch! We also were not able to use one of the twin beds as it was noisy (springs/trundle bed) and not very comfortable. But other than those two issues, we loved our stay.

Wonderful week at this awesome home. Every conceivable thing needed was in this home. We loved the daily wildlife to watch, the weather was perfect and our time there was so relaxing. Our only complaint was the remote control on the tv is impossible to use and that was the only frustration we encountered. Solitude while watching the water, shrimping boats were out, and we were enthralled with the island. Spent many days exploring San Juan, then a day on Orcas. Loved both Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor and the location of the home. Magical week in this magical place.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The views are spectacular and just as described in the listing. We hosted two small dinners while we were here -- and everything was in place to make the evenings a success.

The home is large and has multiple spaces for people to enjoy time together or apart. The only downside is that we spent most of our first evening trying to get internet service. After four hours of phone calls and a visit from a property management staff member, a new router was installed and the issues were resolved. We appreciated her effort, just wish it had been addressed before our arrival as apparently it had been an ongoing problem. New screen doors that open easily are needed! On a happier note, the sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking and worth the rental cost.

From the side deck we watched a mother deer and her three children graze, watched her fend off an interloper, we watched stars and listened to a sea lion grunting at the edge of the water, although we couldn't see him in the dark. The next morning from the lower bedroom deck we watched a family of otters, a mother and four! juvenile otters, play and hunt for fish. The mommy otter successfully caught a fish and gave it to one of the juveniles. After quite a tussle with the other juveniles to keep possession, he successfully claimed and ate it. It is so unbelievably beautiful, peaceful and wild here. We loved our stay and hated for it to end. The reservation process was smooth and the agents I worked with were so pleasant and helpful. Thanks to the family that owns the Channel House for opening it's doors to visitors!

We were able to see deer on the property and look at the incredible views out the big front windows while playing board games which we enjoyed very much. The downsides for us were that there really is no sun on the property which we wanted to sit in, trees need trimming for sun to come thru on the deck. Also the property is nice but the inside is very outdated for the price that we paid. It was not inexpensive therefore I think we expected more from the inside decor. Overall a good stay with fun shopping close by and lots of fun times with the family

Town of Friday Harbor has great shops and restaurants. We went kayaking and whale watching and saw whales with a silvery small one. Great vacation.

We had 5 nights of BBQ's on the deck followed by drinks around the fire pit - heaven. Plenty to do during the day, recommend bike rides, kayak tours and great hikes.

There are many awesome things about this home and the property..However, there are a few things to be aware of prior to renting.. The upstairs master bedroom is a loft and there isn't a door for privacy. if your staying there with another couple you may need to be cautious about walking around the bedroom without clothes on.. we weren't aware of this prior to arrival.. Also, the driveway is very tight for parking and turning around. The walk from the parking area is steep and loose gravel, you need to be cautious not to loose footing. Overall, it's a Beautiful place and setting..

There was plenty of room for all, and everyone loved the house and the great view. We've stayed at many rentals in the islands over the years, and this house was by far the best equipped for kitchenware, linens, etc.

Tricky, steep driveway. Could not get in the house on arrival. Finally realized that the door was swollen shut - had to slam it open with our shoulder each time. The refrigerator makes a loud clunking noise ever 15 min which would wake us up all night. And how old is that pink sculptured carpet in the bedroom and bathroom (yuck). Furniture is old fashioned, broken down and worn. Stayed in Sidney at a gorgeous waterfront house for a lot less money. We love San Juan Island and the views but the Channel House could do with some improvements.
