Lovely spot!

Dwellingup is a great town with lots to do within a short drive. Communication with the owner was excellent and the house was comfortable and cool even in 38 degree heat! We really did have a wonderful time.

We enjoyed the property very much and it was well suited to our family. I especially enjoyed all the butterflies while sitting on the verandah.

We had 2 nights stay at the blue cottage, was very well presented and we were very comfortable and had a lovely quiet stay. Gorgeous gardens and Forrest quite close for bush walking etc

Inside the retreat was surprisingly modern and spacious. The outside roses were lovely and the small cottage out the back was very quaint. Dwellingup has enough eateries to make it unnecessary to go further a field but things do close quite early. A great place to stay within an hour and a half from Perth.

We were all so surprised, delighted even as we enjoyed this sweet and tastefully renovated cottage. It had everything we needed, a perfect space for separation with the teens, gorgeous gardens and was a joy to have had a morning swing in the hammock and tea on the front verandah. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back.

Our 2nd visit, we loved it. Not too far to drive but very peaceful getaway out of city. Charming french feel. Spotlessly clean. Love, love sitting on the balcony watching and listening to all the birds in the forest across the road. Great for teenagers also as they have their own escape in the back yard.

Took a family there for a weekend. Had a lovely time sitting at the fire and enjoying the atmosphere. Will definitely recommend this property for a relaxing break away close to Perth

Enjoyed our stay, close to so many great walks. Rained alot so was great to come back to warm cozy house and relax. Struggled with the the tv in the main house, but studio was great for a couple of movie nights.

A group of mums in our 60s who met 33 years ago when our eldest were 6 weeks old had a very enjoyable 2 night stay at this Heritage listed cottage. Dwellingup is such a pretty town with so much to do and see and Dwellingup Retreat borders on the bushland, but is perfectly positioned for an easy amble into the town centre, Hotham Valley rail, Cidery, etc. The owner was easy to deal with and the instructions clear.

Close to town though a little noisy because of this as next to hwy. Opposite a Forrest with lots of birds. Great for photography. Birds also out front of house. Beautiful sweat smelling rose garden. Left something behind and still waiting on reply as to how to collect

The house is very conveniently situated for so many of the activities the area has to offer. Walking, mountain biking, high ropes and we even used the SUPs in Lanes Pool Reserve. The house had everything we needed and there is plenty of space (and separation!) for family groups. We’ll be back!

The house was as lovely as the pictures. So well equipped. I can't think of one thing we wanted to use that wasn't there. Very clean. Comfy beds and facilities. The sleepout was a hit with 12 & 16 year old girls. They loved having their own space to watch TV & sleep. There are so many lovely spots to sit outside (both front and back). So relaxing.

A very nice little holiday break, relaxing and quiet neighborhood, property was really nice sitting on the balcony. Definitely recommended.

Perfect for a group of friends. Everyone got plenty of sleep in the comfy beds. There was enough room for us all to sit around the fire playing games. Great location not too far from town on the edge of the forest. Nice and quiet.

Unfortunately we had a negative feedback on our guest whom Stayed at the property for our wedding which was very disappointing, as we love dwellingup amd I had hoped they would have been more respectful as we booked it as a courtesy for them .

We loved our 2 night stay at the cottage it was so roomy could not believe the size of the rooms . There was everything we needed and the bonus was the large room outside . Fantastic property and will definitely come again . This time was for a wedding at Nanga bush camp and it was very close to the cottage . Particularly loved the kangaroo that visits across the road in the morning . Can highly recommended staying here . Thank you Melanie

My family enjoyed their stay at Melanie’s. The backyard is beautiful and perfect for kids. We really enjoyed ourself and the abundance of nature.

Lovely presentation of a quaint cottage in a small Forrest town. We had all the comforts needed for our stay RC aircon as it was quite cool at night & warm during the day. The beds were very comfortable and there were extra pillows and blankets if we needed them.

Very comfortable with everything provided that was needed. Spacious for 7 people and an enclosed backyard great for kids of all ages.

Exactly as advertised. Cosy cottage about 15 minute walk to the township. Would love to stay again. Highly recommend Dwellingup Retreat.

Lovely property. Everything we needed. Only downfall is the toilet in the bathroom. An extra bath room and toilet would make this property excellent. Dining area states for 8, only 5 chairs. I took folder chairs .

Dwellingup Retreat is a great little place to stay. Close to town and all walk and riding trails. The house had everything we needed and was quick to warm up with the wood fire (we had to bring wood brought from home). The beds were really comfortable and bathroom has been re entry renovated. The front porch was a lovely spot and would be a great place to sit in the warmer evenings. Overall really happy with this accommodation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway. The cottage is very pleasant to stay in. It was neat and tidy (wouldn’t say spotless everywhere though - bathroom floor and shower floor grout needs a deep clean, dust on ledges and under beds, a stronger vacuum for carpets needed). The decor is charming, very homely; Bath is so cute! Not huge (long) but deep for a good soak! Love the louvers and kitchen bench is a charmer - made from a tree, adds such character! The fire was lovely and cozy at nights. Backyard is great for kids, fire pit was loved and the white washed deck bbq area off the studio looks so good :) Hammock out the front a hit! We bought firewood and their stock was great (helpful too as we used all ours). There were extra’s here and there in the house too - cupboard staples, bathroom toiletries. Melanie was easy to communicate with where necessary. Check in easy. Thanks again we would happily return!

We were so impressive with Dwellingup Retreat! It is a gorgeous cottage that is so thought fully equipped. It made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable knowing that the house had all we needed (and more!). Very comfortable beds - cutest bathroom, lovely deck, gorgeous gardens etc. We will be back for sure and recommending to friends!
