I would like to start by saying the Cabin was great ! The views were spectacular and the accommodations were wonderful for such a large group. We bought our entire family, 4 children with spouses and 3 grandchildren. There were several things that were amazing *ample parking, for such a large group parking was fantastic. We are only 90 minutes from Gatlinburg. Cabins in the past this has been a major issue *Cabin size was great, 5 bedrooms were perfect with, Large dining area and sitting areas we never felt cramped or overcrowded. Suggestions or minor issues: * some of the game tables were in minor disrepair or had missing pieces this is simply a detail issue that may have been over looked. *limited linen, we brought pools towels etc. but for such a large group bathing towels we’re limited again minor issue. *distance from attractions was slightly more than we anticipated, would probably choose a location closer in the future simply to reduce drive time More significant concerns: *landscaping around the lower patio was neglected, with overgrowth encroaching on the patio *the hot tub had minimal if any maintenance or upkeep. There was a significant odor when the cover was removed. Our grandchildren mentioned this to us after using it. Once investigated there was NO chlorine in the water. I attempted to leave a more in depth review but was unable due to the character limit.

This cabin is an absolute dream with epic views of the smoky mountains. All of the rooms are gorgeous and better than pictured. The great room opens to a terrace with a picnic table, swing and rocking chairs. The kitchen is well-equipped and the check-in, wifi, property detail instructions were crystal clear. I brought a yoga retreat here and we had plenty of space, peaceful sitting areas and room to move about. We hiked Rainbow Falls and went White Water rafting on the Pigeon River, with both excursions being about a 30 minute drive from the cabin. The drive up to the cabin is winding and steep and if you want an epic view, you have to know that's coming. The hot tub was amazing after hiking and white water rafting and also fabulous to take a dip with morning coffee. Oh and there's access to Charlie's Bunion on the Appalachian Trail about an hour away from the cabin, for those who want to take on a chunk of the famous hiking path. Overall my group and I loved, loved, loved the property and as the coordinator, I loved that we were able to access fun shopping and dining in Gatlinburg, hiking and beautiful scenery as well as white water rafting, all within about a 30 minute drive.

We recently stayed in this beautiful cabin. The cabin had plenty of rooms for each of us and the grandchildren. The porch swing was amazing, and the grands loved swinging and running around the porch. The weather was rainy, but we were able to adjust and take in some attractions. The hot tub was great and enjoyable. Laura was available prior to and during our stay. She even reached out to us during our stay to see if everything was ok. We will defiantly return to this cabin as it was on the mountainside and close to town it was perfect for us...our only complaint was we didn't stay long enough to enjoy EVERYTHING this cabin had to offer! The photos and description of the cabin and property were right on. Family from NY, NC, MS, and TX met here to enjoy a week of being together just hanging out, and to do some sight seeing of the beautiful Smoky Mountains. It was beautiful, even in March. The house was large enough to accommodate the 15 people that included both children and adults. The bedrooms were spread out so that we were not on top of each other and were able to have privacy when needed. The common areas were big enough for all of us to be together comfortably. I would highly recommend this property. This is a great place to house a family gathering or a group of friends in a quiet place in the mountains, yet it is close enough to downtown Gatlinburg for family fun as well. I gave communication 5 stars. I do suggest you be prepared to utilize technology to communicate. Management is quick to respond. We did have an issue with the TV connections, but it was because the owner is attempting to improve the quality of TV and had just switched the provider/venue. Fortunately, we didn't watch much TV, as the fellowship and sights were more important to us. I am sure they will work out the TV situation as they learn more about how it works. All in all, I would definitely go back to this house. It is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, with both the rustic appearance and modern accommodations. We loved it.

The hosts were amazing to work with! The pictures do not give this place justice. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Rooms are very spacious, fully stocked kitchen. Great views. Awesome game room even for adults! There was 10 of us who stayed in this cabin.

Plenty of room for everyone with beautiful gas fireplace. Towels were small and scratchy and no large towels for hottub. Fantastic play room downstairs with lots of games to play.

This cabin was spacious and top quality. Plenty of beds/seating for a large group. The views really are that beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a big meal, and the gameroom was entertaining for our group of adults. The layout of the cabin was great, everyone could mingle or find solitude. The hot tub cover was mauled by a bear, and there were muddy bear footprints around the porch, but we never saw the bear at the cabin during our stay. We did keep all of our trash inside (no dumpster at the house) until the end of our stay but that was no big deal. We would most definitely consider staying at this cabin again to celebrate friendsgiving!

This property had the most spectacular views of all the cabins that we have ever stayed at. It was spacious and had lots of space to congregate and hang out. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need for all of us to be in there together, getting what we needed and cooking. I saw a little bear from the porch while having my coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

We had such an amazing fun time! And had all ages with us, everything’s not too far, and the house is absolutely beautiful, hot tub was definitely a plus & you WILL get to see bears!! One of the best family trips we have all been on!

This mountain home is beautiful! We had a great time relaxing on the porch and taking in the views. The daily visits from the bears were looked forward to. We enjoyed the shopping, hiking, and of course the evenings in front of the fireplace. We would definitely stay again. The house had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing getaway with friends.

6 of stayed at Cabin. The Cabin was awesome and clean. We were able to find the cabin easily. The check out was a little confusing on what to do with the trash. But over all we enjoyed our stay at the Knotty Squirrel.

This property was beautiful. Very well appointed and plenty of room. The kitchen was the best stocked I’ve seen in any rental property. Owner answered all questions within a matter of minutes. Would highly recommend this rental!!!!

The cabin has amazing views and is absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing stay and will probably look at staying again. We spend nights out on the deck or in the hot tub which was very nice. I would say prepare yourself for the drive up to the cabin once you get to the golf course however because that first time is a bit scary, one lane, steep and hair pin turns, it's fine after the first time up. :) Two of us were from Indiana and Florida, we are not used to those kinds of inclines or turns lol.

Great cabin with a fabulous location. We had initial issues with some cleanliness but I call that out because Laura and the property managers jumped in immediately to correct. Outstanding service and appreciated. We were greeted by bears several times on the trip which was fascinating and enjoyed the space and large kitchen for gathering at meal time. I will say, using the grill increased the frequency of the bear visits but we really had a great time and would absolutely come back. Thank you.

We lived staying at Knotty Squirrel! The house was the perfect home base for the Gatlinburg area and made it easy to come and go from all the areas many attractions. We had everything that we needed. The property owners were easy to communicate with. We had 4 kids, 2 teens, 2 couples and a senior citizen and we all felt that we had plenty of space and privacy. The views from the wrap around porch are amazing!

We stayed for a week in June. The group included my family and my sister's family, so 4 adults and 7 kids ages 4-16. We arrived a bit late thanks to some traffic delays but check in was still easy. The house is beautiful and very clean. The first impression from everyone was great and the view is amazing. We are from a very flat place, so the drive up the mountain was a bit daunting, but after going up and down again it seemed fine. We had a lot of rain, so we got to enjoy the game room and spend time at the house. We even saw a couple bear cubs one evening. We did try the community pool on the dry day and it was underwhelming. It was small, crowded and cold. The only negatives I would mention about the house are the towels, they are thin, hard and scarce. They were inconsistent with the luxurious feel of the home in general. We needed a few more and I got nicer ones at family dollar for $6 each. Also, just a note for larger groups like ours, the design of the home with everything being wood makes it so you can hear every sound everywhere in the house. If you are a family on a similar schedule, this wouldn't be an issue. For us it was a minor inconvenience since the smaller kids were up early and the teenagers would have liked to have slept. Just the young ones scampering around being relatively quiet was quite loud where the older ones were in the basement. Those things aside, I would definitely recommend the property.

This cabin is incredible. The pictures really don't do it justice. The view from the back porch is one of the best I've ever seen. The 6 of us were in town for a bachelor party, and we would have been fine just relaxing at the cabin all weekend. The game room is a blast, and the kitchen/grill has everything you need.

This property has amazing views, is spacious inside and the owner/property maintenance is responsive. This is a great property for folks who like quiet and away from the tourism hustle & bustle in Gaitlinburg & Pigeon Forge. There are some great hiking trails about a10 minute drive toward Cosby & if you want to embrace the tourist venue then it is about a 20 minute drive into town. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this property for others.

This place is fantastic, it sits high in the mountains. It snowed while we were there which made for some pretty pictures. The cabin sleeps 12 people comfortably. We were there to celebrate our friends birthday and during our morning worship some healing took place and then the engaged couple on the trip decided to get married. The cabin was perfect for all of the planned and unplanned events this weekend. In a word .... AMAZING!!!

We have stayed here before. This is a beautiful cabin with a great view of the Smokies!

We were a group of 10. There was plenty of room around the dining table for all of us, which was certainly nice, and there were plenty of sleeping options. (Two women who planned to sleep on the lower level got scared after we saw bears outside that level, so they moved upstairs!) The drive up the hill to the house always felt dangerous to me, since the hairpin turns were much sharper than the ones I’m used to on mountains in Arkansas. But once I got to the house, saw its coziness and the beauty of the mountains, it always felt worth it. The dishwasher stopped working the first night, but the property manager and owner were easy to reach and worked to get someone to fix it. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our days there.

We had an great time and the cabin was amazing. It had everything you could possibly need and the view was spectacular. Thank you so much for a super weekend.
