Jeff is a responsive host. His property is clean and well maintained. I had never visited the Highlands and Sandy Hook area. There are many fun things to do and Jeff's place is in a very convenient location. I look forward to returning some day.

If you want to spend time in a quant village this is the location. House is one short block off the bay and a short ride to Sandy Hook. Restaurants within walking distance. House has a great private deck and a shared back yard that is very relaxing. Fully supplied kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Rent it - kick your feet up - relax.

The property owner was fantastic. He was extremely flexible, professional and considerate. It was a great experience and I encourage anyone looking to stay in the area to rent this property. It’s in a great location, several restaurants within walking distance and has a charming private / fenced yard and back porch - perfect for the spring and summer months

Comfortable size, updated appliances and convenient location. One day was warm (80 degrees) and the window air conditioners were not entirely effective. Also, there was dog hair on sofa and first floor from last guest. Overall, a satisfactory stay.

Owner is very responsive. The property was very nicely located and close to our family we were visiting. Door handles on the front door was difficult to turn. Back door difficult to shut and lock. Most likely due to cold and wind.

Other than the marina across the street and the forklift activity in the early morning hours…the space is great. Cozy, and clean. Owner is very responsive.

We rented the property to help care for my ill sister who lives locally, so comfort, location and flexibility were really important. I can’t say enough great things about all three. The owners are responsive and awesome. Highly recommend.

This rental was clean and bright and exceptionally well equipped with household basics and cooking gear, as well as little luxuries like bathrobes and shower toiletries. The location was safe and quiet (in October) with views of the water and entertaining business going on at the marina across the street. Highlands is a charming little town, very compact, with an excellent waterfront restaurant (The Proving Ground) a two-block walk away. The Lusty Lobster will sell you seafood or steam you some lobsters (we had a couple of 2.5 pounders) and the Bay Avenue Bakery has noble bread and generous sandwiches. The Twin Lights lighthouse and museum is worth a visit and it was great to be on Sandy Hook again (the birding platform is down a trail off Parking Lot M). Although we didn't do it this time, the ferry to Manhattan and whale watching tours are berthed right there. If you are traveling with a dog, the place offers a securely fenced backyard and decks back and front where busybodies like my sheltie can keep an eye on the human and canine foot traffic down below. Check the fig tree - we found some late ripe ones! Thanks to Jeff (owner) for helping solve an issue with TV settings and generally providing a congenial experience. I had one more distant friend stay overnight and seven other locals in and out and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. (We lucked out with beautiful weather!) This location is only about 20 miles from home but felt "away" and met all expectations. Hope to be back.

Great location you can walk to restaurants and a seafood store is around the corner for cooking your on meal.We got great use of our e bikes on the trails and hving a garage to store them in was a big plus.Jeff couldn't be a better host.

What a great week we had in the Highlands!! This property was perfect for us! The WiFi didn’t disappoint so we could WFH. Then spent a little time each day on Sandy Hook - had the place to ourselves! Jeff was an amazing host and quick to answer all our questions. Wonderful fall get away !!

The property was perfect for our mini family get together - with grown children arriving from Phila and NYC (and a happy pup), we enjoyed the proximity to restaurants, beaches, bike paths and running trails, the ferry, scenic views, ice cream and an awesome breakfast/bagel/bakery down the street. House was well stocked & owner was very responsive.

We rented this beautiful duplex for 3 weeks in March. It couldn’t have been nicer! It was so bright and clean and welcoming, with every amenity including a beautiful electric fireplace. The sunrises over the water and salty ocean air were unbeatable, especially sitting on the upper balcony drinking coffee in the morning. Highlands has the best seafood restaurants and this house is a very short walk to both Bahrs and the Proving Ground. The St Patrick’s Day parade in Highlands was an incredibly festive event, attended by the whole town plus quite a few day-trippers. Highlands is also super dog-friendly and the house is very close to the Henry Hudson Trail and Hartshorne Park, both with spectacular water views. The host was also excellent - very nice, very accommodating and responsive. Check-in and check-out were easy. We had use of a garage, but there was plenty of street parking (at least in March). Very safe neighborhood. We will definitely return to this house!

It is within easy walking distance to many restaurants, both on the water and in town. Our favourites were Bahr's and the Proving Ground. My wife and I attended a wedding in NJ and decided to stay for a short vacation. We spent 9 days in this great home and everything about it was super. The owner was gracious and generous.....the home was clean/comfortable and had everything we wanted/needed.....and the location cannot be beat! It is within walking distance of many wonderful restaurants .......both on the water and in town......and we enjoyed all that we went to. I highly recommend this home and we really hope to visit and stay there again!

Local visit back homeI was in town for a family wedding and the property was perfect for what I was looking for. A little bit more space than a hotel and a quiet respite from my noisy family when I got home to the apartment.

Very nice and clean property. Close to parks and beaches. Many restaurants to choose from, I would definitely stay again. Only downside was the furniture was not very comfortable.

Nice to be close to the water, walking distance to food options without the congestion of people. A couple blocks to an awesome playground. The house comes ready with basic needs/games/kitchen supplies and plenty of towels. Owner is very helpful and kind. Could use some updating but for the price, location and need of a family, it was just right for us!

Our family stayed for a week at this property. It was just what we were looking for while our home was under construction. It is close to restaurants and the park. The property was clean and everything is in good working condition. I definitely recommend!!

This property exceeded my expectations. We rented this home for about 3 weeks in January as we were between selling our home and gaining access to our new place. The space was immaculate and the location was wonderful. Easy access to the Seastreak Ferry which got me into Manhattan for work very quickly. The views were wonderful and can only imagine how beautiful it must be during the summer months. The fenced in yard was perfect for the two small dogs I had with me. And Jeff was wonderful to work with. He was extremely responsive and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Highlands.
