This place is right in the middle of it all and even has its own parking (big bonus). Common areas are spacious and had all the things you need to feel at home. Listing was exactly as described and the owner was very responsive to all the questions I had leading up to the visit. Use the messaging feature if you have questions. It is right on the street, so if you are staying in the front bedroom, expect a lot of noise. The bar across the street has karaoke on Sunday nights and it’s very loud because everything is so close by. I made it work with a sound machine! None of the noise was too terrible, just something to be aware of. Just a few suggestions to the owner: the unit needs hand towels and wash cloths, and light filtering curtains in the front bedroom. Also check out instructions are conflicting (strip the beds but don’t strip the beds lol).

Had a great stay at this property! Very convenient location. Plenty of room for our group of 5. Check in with property manager Chris was very easy. Beds and couches were comfy. We didn't really utilize the kitchen, but were happy with the size and seating. Only feedback is that it can be a smidge loud at times, being right on the street on the first floor. Especially the bedroom with two beds, as the windows face the street. We could hear and see the light from the bar across the street at night. The Newport Marathon happened to be the weekend we were staying (didn't realize), and we heard spectators cheering right next to our window that morning! Not a huge deal at all, but perhaps put your sensitive sleepers in the bedrooms farther back.

Great location

Communication with Chris was easy. Apartment is on the ground floor, just a few blocks from the main downtown area. A little noisy at night with a bar across the street, but otherwise excellent. Nice big living room with large TV screen. Bedrooms all very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Apartment was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect from start to finish! Chris was very friendly and attentive and made check in seamless. The apartment has more than enough room for 5 adults. It was very clean and modern. One of the bedrooms had its own bathroom and was like it's own separate apartment. The location was perfect: close to everything but away from the traffic. It was also great to have a large parking lot as parking in Newport can be tough. Shops, restaurants were within walking distance. It was very close to Cliff Walk, the beach, Fort Adams...It was a perfect fit for us, and we'd definitely be happy to stay there again. I'd highly recommend it!

Perfect location away from the bustle of downtown but convenient to restaurants, shops and water taxi. Chris was super responsive. Everything is as advertised. We loved the local eateries. Some street noise at night so light sleepers should stay in middle bedroom. Overall perfect for two teens and two couples!

This is a very large former storefront with plenty of space! Amenities were great, the host Chris, was responsive, and our stay was great! I appreciated the fabulous A/C in the bedrooms!

We had a great time and Chris the property manager was great. They did a good job converting a store into an apartment. Maybe add flowers outside for more curb appeal. The space was spacious and great for 4 people. I would suggest updating the dishes, glasses, linens, towels, lighting, bathroom mirror, along with better cleaning in the small bathroom to support the high cost of the unit. Also, add curtains in the front bedroom to help with the street lights and noise. Thanks

Just what we needed

Chris was excellent to deal with. Check in was a breeze. He even let us check in early and check out late. He walked us through the rental and explained everything. We were walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Perfect location. The only thing we missed was a coffee pot. There was a Keurig so just bring your coffee pods. We would definitely rent it again.

The unit is huge! Nicely furnished.

It is a great location which is accurate, however the stove/oven didn't work (no burner or power to turn oven on), the fire place didn't work, and towels and shower were dirty. The listing stated a fully functioning kitchen, I would consider a stove to be a part of this. The listing also showed pictures of a working fireplace, the cord to plug it in was cut off so it wasn't even an option to use. There was one wet/used towel upon arrival and others were claimed as clean but apparently dirty. The shower floor was covered in mold and soap scum. These were all things the listing highlighted as being a plus but definitely weren't.

Cute rental about half mile from downtown Newport.....walkable to many stores and restaurants. Didn't use kitchen but accommodations were perfect for our weekend away. Property manager was very accessible and easy to get a hold of. I'd def go back if in the area.

A nice place to stay on Thames Street close to all the shops and restaurants. Spacious and relatively clean three bedroom apartment. Makes for a good base camp. Owner/property manager friendly and accommodating. Would stay there again.

Perfect place for a weekend in Newport

This was our 10th year renting in Newport- but our first one finding this gem! Very spacious, comfortable unit, centrally located for walks to town or to mansions, cliff walk, etc. Might be a far walk with little ones, but we are a family of 4 with older kids (young adults, actually), and it was not an issue at all. They enjoyed (preferred) the exercise! Also a bit noisy due to being so close to the road and across from a pub- not a major issue for us, but might be to some. Easy to communicate with property managers- Chris and Charles were both very nice to deal with! And they provide ample parking- so convenient! Lovely modern décor and SO much room to move around. Great kitchen and living room area. Perfect for a family like ours that likes to eat some meals back at our place when on vacation and hang out & play games when we're not out and about! And two full bathrooms- such a bonus!! Overall great accommodations!!

Communication with owner, check-in & cleanliness of rental unit was good. The listing states two bedrooms but there's actually three. The front bedroom is along the street, and since this unit is at street level it can be a little noisy(maybe that's why it's listed as two bedroom???). Plenty of private parking.

Loved that we had plenty of room for 6 of us to hang out and relax and the ease of the location and parking. Great host too!

Centrally located property within blocks of newport marina. Has private parking area. Very spacious and great having two full bathrooms! May be a bit noisy at night from the restaurant/bar across the street but it’s manageable.
