Absolutely beautiful area with private beach and excellent floating and swimming fun. Awesome sunsets and plenty of room for outside games to be played . Lots of room inside and out for our big family of 15. Had great family dinners with the ease of the kitchen set up and dining areas. We were greeted by Dennis and Carol who answered our many questions 😊about the property. They are a very nice couple and checked in with a phone call mid week. This was a great quiet relaxing vacation with lots of family time. The fire-pit was excellent and fully stocked with all the wood we needed and we used it just about every night. Thank you Dennis and Carol for sharing your beautiful property with us.

Could not have had a better time, nonstop fun on the dock, on the beach, and shooting hoops. Perfect layout for evening games, music and sunset watching. Dennis and Carol were great, look forward to using them again in the future.

Property was excellent and Dennis gave a an unexpected initial tour that was awesome. Great area for fishing and enjoying nature. Nice restaurants and a winery nearby. Just a perfect place to relax.

The houses and grounds are spectacular. There was room for all 14 of us to be together in the dining room or the living area and also room for people to gather in smaller groups - D&D in the Man Cave with appropriate decor, games in the den, Triple Solitaire on the kitchen table etc. We played and ate and fished and paddled. The house is well equipped with everything we needed from extra refrigeration, laundry facilities and kitchen equipment to fishing rods, and sports equipment. Everyone was happy and enjoyed being together. It was a memorable vacation and we are grateful to our wonderful hosts who made it all possible!

The views are amazing, the beach and dock were favorite hangout places. The boat lift was excellent and allowed us to enjoy several trips per day with ease! The firepit is also wonderful and seats 12! The bungalow and man cave both with full kitchens allowed out group to spread out and really enjoy all the spaces. We had a great Memorial Day weekend!

This property is truly special, right on the bay with amazing views and plenty of room for socializing. Having the extra cottages separate from the main house is also a big plus to give a larger group a little separation. The owners are also amazing, very accommodating and they want to make your stay memorable. I would recommend this property to anyone and everyone.

My husband and I, our 5 children spouses and grandchildren rented this place for the first time after renting another property for the last 10 years. I was worried it wouldn't meet my family's expectations. The vote was unanimous, this will be our new vacation spot. The pictures don't do it justice. The room with the bar is right on the water. We were able to watch a lightning storm come in over the water while listening to the juke box with stupid sound speakers. The two additional guest houses were perfect for getting away from "too much family time". Again they were larger than the online pictures portray. We stopped cocktails while floating on one of the many floats provided and hung out on the private boardwalk overlooking the beach.

Dennis, your property is perfect for family gatherings such as ours. It is so spacious and bedrooms are a nice size for all. The grounds are perfect to enjoy and relax

We arrived on Sunday ,check-in was a breeze!! The place was FANTASTIC!!! CLEAN, RELAXING, PLENTY OF ROOM , we were 6 couples had such a great time!! Pictures don't do this place any justice. And as for Dennis hes a FANTASTIC guy.. wish he came buy for a beer or 2!! Thank you Dennis! We needed a nice place to relax

Beautiful property - even better than the pictures! Plenty of space for a week-long multi-generational family reunion. Our group included 15 of us, from ages 3 to 70, and everyone had a blast. The fire pit, lawn games, and juke box were all big hits. On sunny days, the deck and beach area were amazing. We brought our own floats and tied them to the dock for the week, but there are some provided as well. Thanks for a great stay, Dennis!

We had a wonderful stay at the River House. We were looking for a place that could accommodate our extended family of 14 for a reunion, and this house was perfect! There was plenty of room to gather in the Main House for meals and fun, while offering each family private accommodations in the Cottage and Man Cave. We took advantage of all the property has to offer with swimming, fishing, and crabbing. We played basketball, corn hole and horseshoes. The jukebox was so much fun! We enjoyed making S'mores in the fire pit at night while star gazing. Hanging out on the dock or on the swing after dinner to enjoy spectacular sunsets was special. Thank you for your vision to create a great place to be togehter with family!

It was wonderful. Very well put together. Lots of space for the family to spread out, play games, dance, cook, and eat. Decor was lively and fun, the jukebox put it over the top. It was a wonderful Christmas getaway. The outside was equally as wonderful. Watching the waves, standing on the dock/sitting on the great swing on the property was so tranquil. The sky was so clear that every sunset and sunrise was like a painting. Lighting up the fire pit and sitting around talking, drinking hot chocolate, and watching the sun go down was the perfect ending to our trip. The owners were the best. They welcomed us and stayed in contact when needed.

Relaxing and peaceful, with beautiful expansive views of the Elk River. The main great room at the back of the house if huge, with a juke box, TV and bar. It was a great place for the whole family to sit relax and engage with one another in a fabulous setting. We would highly recommend!

Our Group had a Great Time here. Dennis was Great to work with and very accomidating. There was only one thing we wish this place had and that was a TV in each home and TV's in each Bedroom. Other than that it was wonderful.

This property was everything we were looking for to have a 60th Birthday celebration. Our 14 extended family members fit very comfortably in the 3 houses, all of which were unique and special in their own way. The amenities were extraordinary!! So much to do right at the house. Lots to do in Chesapeake City also. Dennis was great! We wished we had booked it for a longer time.!!!!

Our stay at the river was almost fairy tale perfect. Our entire family of 10 adults and 4 children was very comfortable. The main house and the guest cottages were very clean and appointed well. Nothing fancy here, which works well for us on vacation, but there were plenty of games to play and fishing poles to fish from the dock ( the kids caught some large catfish and had a blast). Dennis was most accommodating and very friendly and communicative. We would like to return next summer if our plans allow.
