Family escape--4 adults, 2 teens. Lots of room for all, elegant layout. Hot-tub, pool table were greatly enjoyed. Kitchen well equipped. Appreciated the very solid fir furniture! Will consider this property again for future visits, especially suitable for larger groups.

We stayed for 3 days in November - with my husband and 2 adult kids with their partners. We made turkey dinner and the kitchen was well stocked. It even had 2 dishwashers! The house was spacious and had a large dining table that seats 8 easily. It was fun to have the pool table too! It was great to be so close to the beach too. We all definitely recommend it!

We stayed here when we got married on Chestermans beach with our bridal party/closest friends and could not praise it enough! Amazing hosts, great location, comfy beds and tons of room. We hope to be back!

Thank you for the wonderful stay at your home. Our family had the most lovely weekend. We have been vacationing in Tofino once/twice a year for almost two decades. This home is definitely one of our favorites on North. The location is perfect, kitchen is well stocked, bedrooms are comfortable and the boys enjoyed the pool table and hot tub in the evening. Fred’s place was just perfect for our extended family of 3 couples and 2 little ones under age 2. We walked the 1/2 block to the beach multiple times a day. The Live to Surf shop and more importantly the chocolate shop were a short 10 minute walk away. The only time we used our car was to pick up fabulous pizzas at Basic Goodness Pizza. Thanks, Fred! We’ll be back next year for another memorable family vacation.

Our family loved our stay at the property, so much so this was our second stay. The dogs enjoyed the short walk to the beach as much as we did! We appreciated all the little extra details like soaps, body wash, extra towels, lots of games, and many different cooking spices etc. We will definitely stay here again in the future :)

This is our second stay. We come to Tofino almost every summer and would always stay here if we could. The house is perfect for our family. It is a splendid oasis in the forest and just steps to the beach. Thanks for another great vacation Fred!

Spacious west coast living in a striking design with all the features that you expect. A few things need maintenance but don’t let them deter you from staying at this most desirable location. Fred the owner is attentive to our needs and very helpful.

Great stay. Tons of space. The large open plan was appreciated as no one felt cramped. Location was a wonderful surprise as the house is literally 1/2 a short block from North Chesterman Beach. Other family members who were staying at other locations were so impressed that they will be trying to book here the next time they visit Tofino.

This is our second time staying at this beautiful home. We were here at the same time last year. The house is spacious, comfortable, and has a very well-stocked kitchen, The beautiful beach is less than a two minute walk from the house which is perfect. We love staying here for our family getaway and will definitely be back.

On the plus side the location is great only steps from Chesterman Beach. The house it self is a great lay out with 4 bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Large fully equipped kitchen with two dishwashers, oven, gas stove and microwave. The beds were comfortable. On the negative side the BBQ did not work. It was corroded and needs to be replaced. The hot tub leaked half its water over night on our second day so we only got to use it once. The cleaner told us it was a 20 year old tub and we were lucky we got it at all as the last few guests had not been able to use it. The gutters were full of debris so water from heavy rains was pouring off the roof. When we arrived there were empty beer cans on the ground at the entrance. The portable vacuum for guests did not work and would not recharge. There were a number of lights burned out in various locations inside the house. The pool table is fun but very much in need of repair. The owner was helpful to a point, then when we reported the hot tub issue communication ceased. The VRBO notice we received said check out was 11 am. We were out of the house at 10:50 am and getting in our cars when the cleaner arrived and told us checkout was 10 am. Even after I showed her it said 11 am on the VRBO app she insisted it was 10 am. Overall a disappointing stay especially at this price point.

Really enjoyed this home. We needed 3 bedrooms , 3 bathrooms that allowed us to bring our 3 dogs for Christmas. The location is a short 2 minute walk to Chesterman Beach and walking distance to other things. Large dining table for games and pool table upstairs was great.

This was our 2nd time staying at this property. It is a big, beautiful spacious house. It is very clean and comfortable and super close to the beach. The beds a very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Spent a few days reuniting with the family at this beautiful chesterman retreat. Lovely as always.

This was a family vacation for with our adult children, new grand baby AND three dogs! The house was more than we could have hoped for—it was super clean, spacious, and the VERY well stocked kitchen was a big help! I would loved to have had a teapot, but a stainless steal pot worked perfectly well! We loved that the property was SO CLOSE to Chesterman Beach and that it was a quiet location. The BIG hot tub was well used and we appreciated attention to detail—five adults, so five towels rolled up for our use in the hot tub! Having three bathrooms was also a big plus given that we had five adults and a 5 1/2 month baby in our crowd. We enjoyed it SO MUCH that we plan to return the same time next year. Fingers crossed!!!

We had a fabulous 4 days in Tofino and this rental property certainly helped! We were walking distance to Chesterman Beach and close to the multi purpose trail. We brought our bikes this time and enjoyed riding on the trail and into town. This home had all of the amenities so lots of cooking utensils and a great dining room to enjoy our meals together. The House has very comfortable furnishings with a huge dining table to enjoy eating in! Love how close it is to Chesterman Beach, a grocery store, little restaurant and Tofino. However, did talk to the owner about a few things that need to be fixed or updated and he was very receptive.

Our only complaint was we wished we had stayed longer! An amazing location, only steps to the beach for surfing and beachcombing, then back to the house to enjoy the hot tub. The house is beautiful, with plenty of space for our family of 6 adults. We can't wait to go back!

You're a couple minutes walk to Chesterman Beach in a secluded home with a ton of privacy and lots of easy parking. Our family was exceptionally comfortable with the 4 bedrooms and thoroughly enjoyed all the top-notch amenities -- laundry room, a large kitchen to cook together and we enjoyed the outside hot-tub, master bathroom jacuzzi, billiards room and large screen living room tv. The week flew by quickly but we enjoyed every day at the house and on the beach nearby. Plus stellar gelato, great restaurants and a small market were just a couple minutes down the road by car or bike. Exceptionally convenient location!

Upon entering the house the first impressions was "Wow". The property was very clean and the provided supplies and condiments were the the most extensive we have ever seen in a rental property. The beds were extremely comfortable. The pool table was an added bonus on a very rainy day, kept everyone entertained. Its location, approximately 150metres from the beach, was perfect. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this property.

Location is perfect! House is huge! Lots of space to spread out and the large dinning table was the perfect gathering place at the end of the day. Fred was great to deal with and communication was a breeze! We will definitely be back!

Fred’s place was perfect for our family of 3 generations. The house itself is warm and welcoming with custom woodwork throughout. Each couple, one with a baby, had their own bedroom and bathroom, which suited everyone’s needs. We were lucky enough to have enthusiastic chefs in our group, and we made good use of the large, well appointed kitchen, and all the abundant seafood in Tofino. The location of the house was ideal, just a short, easy walk to North Chesterman Beach trailhead. This is the best VRBO property we have rented and we will definitely be back! Beautiful, lots of privacy, spacious, ideal for beach lovers.

This property was perfect for our needs; very close to the beach, very quiet, private location. Lots of room for indoor activities in the rain as well as a hot tub for warming up after beach walks and runs. Great access to the designated bike route. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be keen to return!

Great location for surfing North.

The house was very comfortable for 4 adults and a small dog. Love the location! We will be back.
