The view was awesome. We enjoyed watching the big ships pass by and the west side of the island was so quiet and peaceful. We had a kayak trip and were able to meet our guide at the county park right down the road.

We got there early and were told we could not sit on the deck when we arrived. Property management never called us to let us know it was ok to enter property as she promised to do. The bedroom is pitch black... with both lights on cannot identify clothing to get dressed. Front deck is stunning but there is not a comfortable way to enjoy it. There are two very uncomfortable metal lounges with a short cushion on it. No cushions for the other two metal deck chairs??? It was a bust - we paid a lot and left a day early.

A perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the islands. Wonderful sunsets and close to many places to explore. The home is beautiful and comfortable. A place we will return to!

Also the location is perfect: right near Lime Kiln State Park and Lime Kiln Preserve, which includes lots of hiking trails and beach access. The rental also included lots of board games, which we played as a family. We could not have been happier there!

The house was great but we hardly had time to enjoy. Late arrival on the ferry and 10 am check-out on Sunday morning. No time for breakfast. Another night would have been good but too expensive.

While it is really pushing it to state that this property sleeps six, our family of five adults loved the location. Very well equipped, and convenient to Roche Harbor and friends

Easy walk next door to San Juan County park and only a few miles drive to Lime Kiln. Bed was comfortable, Kitchen well equipped. Would recommend for 4 people although listing allows 6, but 2 would be on a fold out couch. Overall, we look forward to staying here again, and found the management company communicative and professional. House was clean. Stove is a little tricky to figure out the first time, use google if you need to. WiFi worked well at speeds of 25mbps.

On the opposite side of the island from town, but we seemed to get better weather. We were able to arrange a kayak tour that started directly from the county park next door. Great communication and support from the property manager.

Deck added lovely outdoor space for AM coffee and eve meals. Sofa bed was large and moved to a third bedroom, leaving loft for art and crafts, etc. It is exactly as pictured. Very clean. We wish the fireplace had worked and that there had been more lamp light at nighttime. No noise from county park and its close presence made beach access easy. 10 stars!!

The San Juan county park is close by and we were able to have a wide view of the straight from there. Lime Kiln was also within a few minutes for spectacular sunset pictures. We took quite a few beautiful sunset pictures right off the balcony of Orca Overlook also! There is a good view of Canada, with sparkling lights for maybe Victoria across the strait. The home had all the amenities and conveniences that we could have asked for. Thanks for the spices and tote bag/ we used it to carry our stuff while we toured the island! Lots of nice touches and very clean. Beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water! Wifi was slow, but usable. Our favorite restaurants were Madrona Bar and Grill, Downriggers and San Juan Island Cheese (really good and unique). San Juan Safaris and San Juan Excursions, both were great whale watching companies - they make every effort to see the whales and we did! Pelindaba Lavender Farm is worth a side trip also! We definitely plan to return! Thanks!

Kitchen has everything you want and need. Linens and beds are comfy and good quality. Gas fireplace is nice, but a little noisy. Would definitely stay again.

Although the house is listed as having internet, it is unusably slow (probably fine if you're checking email - but torture if you have to work). Only cell coverage is for Canadian providers. So if your goal is to "get away from it all" and Look For Whales, this is the house for you!
