When we arrived there were dead roaches in the floor, insects in the bed, holes in the floor where more roaches came out of. Our second day, we woke up to a screaming homeless person, later that day the same homeless person made a tent in the yard of the house, when I reached out to the host, I was told to "feel free to call the police", the homeless person had weapons. Our safety was never a concern to the hosts. I do not recommend this listing to anyone

This place is located in an iffy neighborhood and features 2yard filled with 2 ft tall weeds, cracked and uneven walkway that incurs stumbles, front door with peeling paint. The first impression is fairly well carried throughout. The home is set for 6 persons with 3 bedrooms however the living room only features 1 couch ( stained) and one hard molded plastic chair making it uncomfortable and unworkable as a gathering spot. All the tables, side, cocktail and dining have numerous chips, stains, watermarks and chopped finishes. Frankly we couldn’t wait to leave. The keyless entry internal light is so dim that it’s completely unreadable at night making returning home and gaining entry extremely difficult, even when shining a locket flashlight in it. Tv remote control Needs new batteries.

We rented this property for its size and location. Like all properties it has some good and bad features. To house 6 people ( we had 3 people ) it had one 3 seater couch in the lounge room, 2 knives, 4 mugs and not one desk in any room ! But most of All I found dealing w a big rental company very disappointing. I thought I had a confirmed Stayz reservation email only to have to fill out forms, sign waivers and tick another companies boxes. I almost lost the reservation because I wasn't aware that booking on Stayz would involve another whole step w the rental company. When I had an issue accessing the property there was no one person to call but a call centre, so I stood in the cold and waited. And while help came in am email, it was tense wondering whether it would. They did act quickly when I told them the kettle was a danger to any user and I appreciated that. I’d think twice before booking w Stayz again, which is a shame because I was a Host with them over 15 years ago and appreciate their longevity but I don't like this new Iteration of big short term rental companies dominating these platforms. Nobody has lived in this place for years and it needs the care and thoughtfulness of an owner operator and a thorough clean.

The house is a historic house with a lot of character and upgrades. The house was well stocked and really convenient to downtown shops and dining.. and only 30 minutes from major skiing.. my family and I would definitely stay there again…

The house is exactly as described and fit our needs perfectly. The floors are considerably creaky and the lack of parking was mildly annoying. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of soft towels and linens provided. The house was well equipped so that we did not need to purchase basic needs like toilet paper, paper towels, etc. We had a great weekend and would stay here again!

Over all it was a pleasant stay. Close to everything. Nice big balcony with a view of the mountains. Surprisingly quiet neighborhood for the location. The biggest issue was that the floors creaked loudly (but it's an old house, so...). Knowing there was a tenant downstairs we hardly used the main floor for fear of disturbing them.

Convenient location, clean beds and rooms. We only found street parking with a 2-hr restriction from 8am-6pm around the property, but that was less of an inconvenience than we thought. There were perishables left in the fridge and used soap bars in the bathroom, which I thought peculiar, but then again we don’t use VRBO type rentals often, so maybe it’s considered a courtesy? All in all, a fine place to stay at when visiting SLC.

We love the house and was simply comfortable to stay with. Very welcoming atmosphere and nice place to create beautiful memories with friends and family. A great spot as it is in a prime location. You can never go wrong with how the towels, essentials, bedding we're made ready for you. I would also commend the people behind the stay, The property management company who made everything so easy for us. We would highly recommend them and the property to friends. Thank you.

(Note they made sure we got everything and are all settled in okay upon arrival) Absolutely outstanding customer service! The unit works for our group and it is very spacious. The towels provided are comfortable. Supplies like tissue paper, shampoo etc. are there to get you started. More importantly, the assistance we got from the management team we're extremely appreciated. We would definitely recommend them!

Perfect location as quiet neighborhood outside of downtown Salt Lake but close enough to ride in via free Tram or very short UBER rides. All in all a well maintained historic house.

Pros: Beds are nice and it is very spacious. Has a lot of character. Good updated kitchen. Conveniently located to everything.

Cons: Could use some upkeep: lawn is burned out, saw a few roaches, shower needs to be re-grouted, paint outside is chipping. No driveway - 2 hour street parking only. AC is loud and shuts on / off frequently. Arrived to discover the dishwasher had backed up, resulting in it being unusable and a weird smell permeating.

The only issue I had is the parking on the street. If we got back late, there wasn't a close place to park, as other cars were parked there. We had to walk down the street a ways to get back to the place. I do wish there was a better designated parking spot for this place. But otherwise I enjoyed our stay.

Great home in the heart of SLC! The comments about the parking being limited to 2 hours on the street durning the day were helpful. We were out most of the day so it wasn't an issue for us: Plenty of room with comfortable beds and living area.
