Loved this house and look forward to staying again soon! It was clean (even smelled clean), well stocked with everything needed to cook or grill at home while watching the dolphins frolic in the ocean which is so close! My dogs enjoyed walks on the beach and the fenced yard! The host is very responsive! Great vacation!

LOCATION! Literally steps from the beautiful beach. Far enough from center of town to enjoy a peaceful drink on the deck and quiet walk on the beach. But only a short golf cart ride to all the restaurants and action. Spiral stairs were difficult to navigate with luggage but we did it. We would definitely stay here again.

Five of us (ladies in our 30s/40s) stayed at this cute little beach house for a little R&R after a weekend in Charleston. Beach Location was amazing, great outside space. Steps up to the loft a little tight but otherwise good space. Clean

We loved this home! It feels like you couldn’t get closer to the beach if you wanted to. The house was clean and decorated so well. The artwork in the home was stunning and painted by the owner. Love that all of their properties are pet friendly.

We travel often throughout the US. This home was fantastic. Clean, perfect size and what a location. We enjoyed the beach access. Lastly, we travel with our dogs and they made it especially nice with the enclosed yard. Perfect stay

The beach house was so cute! The location of this house was also amazing, you have a perfect view of the beach. In the pictures the house does look a little further from the beach but in person the walk through the dunes is much shorter. You’re about a 5 minute drive from the local restaurants which is also very nice.

The location was definitely the best, we saw a gorgeous sunrise each morning and beautiful sunsets. Even dolphins right off the porch! Lovely breeze. Some appliances are a bit run down, but the home was pretty clean. Bedrooms are small on the first floor, right squeeze with a pack n play but we fit. The spiral staircase is very narrow, but worked fine for us

Not everyone needs a huge house and multiple bedrooms! This was perfect for 3 adults and 2 dogs! Location was great. Would definitely stay again. Only issue (and no ones fault) was dog yard had been wrecked by recent septic work. As the secure privacy-fenced yard was the reason we chose this property, this was a big problem! Once owner realized this she acted ASAP, and we had a secure yard for last 5 days of our stay. As others have mentioned, the gate to the beach is difficult: I could not close it by myself and hope that gets fixed before next visit. Otherwise, great spot!

Perfect beach front property for a weekend getaway with friends or loved ones!

We had a great experience staying at this property- clean, well air-conditioned in the SC heat and can’t beat the view and access to the beach. Great place for one family with small-ish children (when comfortable with stairs) - a lovely beach cottage!

First off, the pic of distance from house to beach is way off.. looks like a long walk but it’s literally right on the beach. You could throw a baseball from the porch and it land over the dune on the beach. Place is little, like the comment, but it works. With the extreme and ridiculous pricing on beach front houses this hit the spot!

Get ready for some serious beach therapy! This place is a quirky paradise – small yet packed with all the essentials for a fam getaway. We had a minor hiccup with the grill's propane tank, but fear not, folks! Our host was on it like a seagull on a french fry. Furry pals and offspring are welcome, but the beachside gate hasn't yet mastered latching. Fear not, the double-gated deck is your sandy fortress. Deck view? Jaw-dropping. Beach sprint? 60 seconds. No need to pack TP or towels, this haven's got your backside. Checkout's a breeze, with no Herculean cleaning tasks to tackle, just a smooth getaway like a stealthy sand crab. Now, for the nitty-gritty: a sprinkle of dust here, splash of bathroom water damage there – no biggie. Upstairs bathroom, we appreciate you, even if you're smaller than a hermit crab's studio apartment and your door's louder than a foghorn. And can we talk about the A/C? It's like a magical wizard casting a cool spell over the entire house, including the loft. No sweat, literally. In a nutshell, this place is like that quirky friend who always has a hilarious story to tell, a cozy hug to offer, and a front-row seat to the best show in town. We'd book it again faster than a sandcastle crumbles.

Overall it was a wonderful trip! Location was great! Loved being located on ocean front! Homeowner was wonderful to work with!

Great house and location. About a 15 minute walk to the "main" area of the island. Property manager was on top of communcation/emails throughout the whole process. Spiral staircase was fun in theory, but definitely harder to navigate than we expected. Made it getting our luggage up and down a little tricky. The overall cleanliness of the house was good, but it could probably use a deep cleaning soon. There was a bunch of dust on some of the walls from the fans going and a lot of crumbs in the cabinets and drawers. The kitchen was adequately stocked for dishes. We had to get creative a few times while making a some meals. The addition of a griddle would be a game changer. :)

The view was amazing, we loved watching the dolphins play & surfers. The layout of the home was nice to be small. Management took care of an issue we had right away. We had a great visit, Folly never disappoints.

Great little house on the oceanfront. Loved just sitting on the couch facing the ocean with all the windows open so I could feel the ocean breeze and listen to the waves.

I had been renting the same home on Folly Beach for almost a decade. Unfortunately this year that home was not available. My requirements: 1. Direct ocean front. 2. Affordable for a couple (so not one of those gianormous 6+ bedroom homes) 3. Dog friendly (my bulldogs are part of my family. 4. A house, not a condo. I can tell you that it’s almost impossible to find a place to meet those requirements. The home I previously rented did meet all my needs, but I sacrificed cleanliness, modern upgrades (ummm…like working air conditioning and cable) and owner communication. Not anymore! This home was PERFECT. Everything on my checklist and more. Super clean, perfect ocean front deck with view, upgraded appliances with everything we needed, small enough to be affordable for a couple and big enough to have my mother join us without anyone getting thrown off the pier 😬, and most importantly…dog friendly WITH A FENCED IN YARD!!! I’m already looking to book another getaway here. Simply perfect.

Very pet friendly. Had everything we needed for a relaxing week. Two old couples with our dogs feeling very blessed to have spent quality time together.

My daughter's wedding was at Magnolia Plantation. This has was perfect place for the family to hangout enjoy the beautiful ocean view. Beds are really comfortable too!

This is a cute on the beach property and everything was as described!

My family and I enjoyed this property very much! The space felt a bit small for 7 people but manageable for a weekend trip. Biggest difficulty was probably just the one shower! The loft is a very neat space with a spiral staircase up to it, though it could get warm up there. The outdoor space was great with a good sized porch, fenced backyard with a hose, and easy access to the beach. The walk to downtown restaurants and Bert’s store is definitely doable, about 10 or 15 minutes and really lovely if you take the walk on the beach at sunset!

A lovely place to call home for a couple of days. We could end each day of sightseeing by sitting on the deck and watching the ocean. Kitchen was well-stocked for some casual dinners at home.

Great rental on Folly Beach. Superb views and location. Clean, well equipped, and extremely dog friendly (fenced yard and gated deck). Host was absolutely lovely to work with. We are renting here again next winter.
