Beautiful property. Great hangout space inside and out. Pool was wonderful and maintainence was great at keeping pool clean after winds and storms. Beach is gorgeous, quiet and private. Bedroom separation worked well for our family. Kitchens and baths are lovely. Appreciated generous number of towels and beach towels. Loved ceiling fans everywhere kept us cool if you aren’t an ac lover. Two outdoor showers were the best! Lots of sand toys and chairs for beach. No sidewalks so know that before you go. Kitchen needs a few small additions- blender that works, salad spinner, large colander but generally well equipped.

This rental is by far the best place we’ve ever stayed !! I’ve been coming to Captiva every year for 45 years and This home knocked it out of the park on every level!! The views, the beach, tbe pool, the newly renovated interior,the location!!!!You name it, it’s perfect!!!

Such a lovely home tucked into a private natural blanket of sea grapes! Very well equipped with beach gear and toys to keep adults and kiddos happy. Glorious skies every morning and night. A plethora of sitting areas for game playing, puzzles, movie nights (all three of which can occur at the same time). Beautiful private pool with lovely furniture and surrounding vegetation including lime/key lime trees! Easy access/departure making it a seamless trip all around. Highly recommend!

Wanted something special after covid 2020, this did not disappoint. Sunsets were spectacular on the deck or if we preferred on the beach. Wife and daughter fell in love with the decor of the house while our 10 year old grandson LOVED the pool. Hated to leave! Will return!

We just got back from a week's stay at this property. We rent from VRBO every year, and I have to say this was the best equipped house we have ever rented. From the well stocked kitchens, to the beach and pool equipment, we were lacking nothing. Having two houses was very nice. We used the smaller house for my husband and I, while the teens loved having all the space in the main house. The location was perfect! Wonderful views and easy access to the uncrowded beach. Having a beach wagon to take the provided beach chairs and umbrellas was very nice. We have stayed farther in on Captiva in the past and were a little bit worried about being so close to Blind Pass, but it was no issue at all. The property is well secluded with beautiful plants, trees, and flowers. Fishing off the beach is awesome with daily dolphin sightings. The pool was very clean and warm. We enjoyed the screened in porch on the guest house as it was hard to use the very expansive deck on the main house due to the no see ums. Maybe they are not as bad in the spring, fall and winter, but in the summer it's hard to sit outside and enjoy the view in the evenings due to the pesky bugs. The only drawback was the guest house does sway a bit when someone is walking around in the house or up the deck stairs. You can feel it when you are sitting in the house. It left my husband and I feeling like we were on a boat for a week....still feeling that sway a couple of days after. All in all, the property was great!

Arcadia was amazing. It was perfect for our family. It was comfortable, clean, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. We loved that there was a separate guest house so that our families could enjoy some down time in the evenings. We spent more time at the pool this year than our previous years at Captiva because the pool is awesome with such a clean, inviting atmosphere. The beach was a bit more crowded than we were used to in our previous stays but it wasn't a problem. Arcadia is the perfect get-away - we booked again next year! Only one note - if you are a bedtime tv watcher, bring some televisions or laptaps; most of the bedrooms do not have one. Other than that minor issue, Arcadia was amazing!

Arcadia was beautiful inside and out and a perfect fit for our family; we hated to leave and look forward to returning!

We had a great two weeks at this property. The living space is nice and open, great for groups with well maintained furniture. The kitchen area overall is smaller than expected but as we were just a small family, that was not a problem. The pool was a highlight because it was shaded in the afternoon but well heated so the kids could swim in any weather. Our only minor critiques would be the master bed was really not comfortable and the mattress and box springs felt worn out or much too soft. The bed in the guest house was not connected to the frame and the furniture and blinds in that room were generally much more worn out/broken. Lastly, it's exactly as listed but we wished we had a screened porch - we were eaten alive until we got deet. Due to being on septic and Florida water, the water pressure is weak and smells. To be expected in general but at this price we probably weren't quite prepared for it. Overall, the home is a bit more 'loved' and 'lived in' than we might have expected but we were happy with the cleanliness and the main living spaces. It was wonderful to have basically a private beach and a perfect layout and guesthouse for the grandparents.

The setting is so beautiful, we had a lovely time. I agree with a lot of other reviews. The only issues we had included plumbing (was fixed promptly) and a few broken items (towel rack, beach chair) also taken care of quickly. The kids loved the pool, and the sunsets were stunning.

Great location, property and view! Loved having both the pool and the beach each day. The houses had everything we needed for an awesome and relaxing week and gave us lots of space for our entire party. The deck and view was phenomenal.....for coffee or happy hour! Will definitely be back!!!

This was our 2nd time renting this property. It's perfect for my family. Equal times spent at the beach and pool. The deck is PERFECT for sunsets! Nice kitchen which is important to us as we eat 75% of our meals on the deck or by the pool.

The property was exactly as seen in the photos. Sunsets were even better, breathtaking. A new grill was delivered during our stay and was used and appreciated. We had groceries delivered from Baileys. We also got local carry out and bought fresh fish at the Tuesday farmers market. Highlight for my 3 yr ok’d granddaughter was floating on the paddle board one morning when the waves were flat as dolphins played all around us. Priceless.

This was the best experience for our family beach vacation. Beautiful property with every amenity that we could ask for. Very very comfortable bedS and bedding, beautiful furniture inside and out. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to fix gourmet meals and the feeling in this home is like I said luxury and homey all in one place. The deck and outdoor space is like being in a small resort and the path to the beach is something spectacular as well. All landscaping is well maintained and the pool area was so nicely taken care of. We rented a six person street ready golf cart and toured the island and drove to Captiva for dinner or ice cream. . Many evenings we caught our own dinner and then sat on the deck and watched the sun go down. I just can’t explain what a wonderful time we had. Hoping to be back soon!!! Thanks again for allowing us to share your home.

Having missed our spring break in Florida due to the coronavirus we were missing our beach vacation. We looked for a secluded beach spot with a private pool and got exactly what we wanted and more. We loved every minute. Will definitely come back.

This home is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, platters, trash bags, zip lock bags, and a perfect amount of coffee cups and wine glasses for 6 adults. The grill worked well but I agree with other comments about the kitchen stove top. It was difficult to cook on. Beach chairs are comfortable and we appreciated the umbrellas and carry cart. We added two adult floats to your pool & beach toys. Our adult children all wanted to stay in the main house together so no one took the king bed in the guest house. They all four said the twin beds were comfortable. We had plenty of toilet paper, towels, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent for one week. Our favorite restaurants were Sunset Grill, Captiva House, and Keylimb Bistro for lunch. The Bubble room is a fun atmosphere. We heard the Green Flash was good but did not get a chance to eat there. Our favorite part of being at this home was the mornings on the deck watching the dolphins swim by, walking on the beach and finding interesting shells, spending relaxing days on the beach and fishing, having a 5:00 cocktail by the pool and then going to the deck for sunset before dinner. We look forward to renting this property again in the near future.

Perfect location, perfect property...but get a proper gas grill to suit the property. Everything else was great but that, and that was disappointing. Highly recommended home to all, we’ve already rebooked for next year.

The place was very clean upon arrival and well stocked. There were plenty of bath towels and Beach towels and even some beach and pool toys. I would definitely stay there again.

This place was perfect for our group, close to the beach, private pool and the of course , the deck. We shelled, swam, lounged, fished, shopped the farmers markets and had a lot of fun exploring the island with our 6 passenger street-ready cart. The house was immaculate and beautiful, we had to call Kingfisher one time because we were having trouble with the Wi-fi (we had a couple people who tried to get some work done) and they sent someone out immediately We had fun checking out all the local restaurants, The Green Flash was our favorite. For convenience, we loved having the Santiva General Store (many beer runs :), Sunset Grill and Lazy Flamingo within walking distance. I'll definitely rent again when we decide on dates, if this place isn't available, I'll go through Kingfisher as they were very easy to work with!

All very good except for the cooking!...induction stove very difficult for cooks used to gas!....Karen Beane

We had a wonderful stay at the Arcadia. Beautiful home with all the amenities. Loved the private pool and easy access to the beach. Great location for shelling. Excellent accommodations and access to everything we needed.

Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Beautiful location and the private pool was fantastic. Had a few minor issues during our stay but they were taken care of immediately with no complaints. Would definitely stay again.

The house and location were perfect! Everything inside looked new and clean with high-end appliances and top-notch finishes throughout. Outside was beautifully landscaped with palms and tropical plants that provided lots of privacy. It was an oasis in every way. Whether lounging around the pool, sitting on the teak deck, or sitting on the beach, we saw all kinds of wildlife: dolphins, ospreys, large tortoises, tiny lizards, iguanas, fish, and sea turtles. In fact, a sea turtle dug a nest and laid eggs on the the beach right in front of the house while we were there! There were very few people on the beach and we felt like we had it to ourselves...we walked for over a mile and saw only a handful of other people. Emerald green water and beautiful sunsets every evening. Great restaurants were just minutes away too...our favorite was Doc Ford's. We couldn't have asked for a better location or vacation. No one wanted to leave. We'll definitely be coming back!!!

The Arcadia property was beautiful, a great location combined with a clean, updated property made our family vacation for 7 adults and 1 child a relaxing and enjoyable event. Supplies for the beach meant not having to bring anything from home and made the whole trip easier. Great sunsets and indoor/outdoor sitting areas made the vacation as relaxing as possible. Would liked to have seen more stocked supplies within the home (paper towels, garbage bags, etc) for the price paid. Large amount of pine needles from neighboring trees ended up in the pool and made it slightly less enjoyable, perhaps vacuuming up pool once during the week would be appropriate. Some bikes to ride would also be a nice addition to the property. Overall, a great property in a great location, very well kept both inside and out.

This home has everything you would want for a Captiva vacation. Its right on the beach ! We watched sunsets from our deck, swam in the pool, watched dolphins, eagles and shorebirds. Its truly a special home with amazing decor and a great location. The beds were all comfortable and there was plenty of seating between the two living-rooms. We will be back !
