We had an amazing experience! We came with our 2 daughters, 20 and 15, and everyone had plenty of space. The villa was very clean with plenty of towels and linens. The kitchen had plenty of space and everything you needed to cook. It was close to the nearby town for shopping and restaurants. We did several excursions and had transportation provided that picked us up at our villa. We would recommend this villa 100%!

If a trip to Costa Rica is on your “ bucket list” and you want to stay in a community that is safe, secure and overwhelmingly beautiful, look no further. The Bahia Pez Vela Beach Resort is located on its own private beach about 35 minutes east of the Liberia airport. There is no need to rent a car, the owner of Villa #10 will help you to arrange transportation from the airport with a stop at the supermarket in Coco Beach to pick up groceries en route to your villa. The owners of Bahia Pez Vela #10 are the most helpful rental hosts that we have ever dealt with. They supplied us with wonderful recommendations for tours and restaurants and general travel information about Costa Rica that was very helpful. The oceanfront condo is really beautiful and is meticulously maintained. We really appreciated the proximity to the pool and the restaurant. Steps lead directly from the condo to both the pool area and the beach. The restaurant has excellent food. While we were there in early July, there was live music once a week and specialty nights twice weekly. The property is quiet, private and a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The interior spaces of the villa are thoughtfully furnished and very comfortable. The patio is an extension of the living spaces and the shaded sitting area makes for wonderful ocean viewing even in the brief rainy season downpours. Howler monkeys can be heard in the trees on the surrounding hillsides. Don’t think twice! Villa #10 is amazing.

This property exceeded our expectations. It was perfect being close to the pool and beach with kids. You can’t beat the view from the patio. We were well taken care of by the staff, who assisted in booking excursions and getting us rides as we didn’t rent a car.

We had a wonderful time during our stay here. The condo is beautiful, roomy and comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The view is stunning and your private beach is just a few steps away. The beach club is right next door…great food and drinks and friendly staff. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Beautiful villa on a quiet cove, adjacent to a lovely beach club. The beachfront views were stunning! The villa was equipped with comfortable furniture inside and out, a well-stocked kitchen, and all the supplies you might need for swimming and beach play. All staff onsite were friendly and helpful, and the Villa owner was an exceptional communicator, setting us up for a hassle-free vacation. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful property with amazing views and great service from the resort staff and host!

We loved the location right on the beach - our kids (5,7 and 9) were able to run down in the mornings and play - my husband and I could watch from the deck. The home was clean and comfortable. And being right next to the beach club was so convenient. We would return!

The property was in a gorgeous beachfront location. Check in and out was easy, villa was well appointed, had everything you might need to visit any beaches, coolers, beach towels, etc. Owners put up Christmas tree for us and we had such a wonderful vacation, would definitely book again. Rooms and bed were comfortable, full kitchen and amenities, beautiful dining room area, comfortable lanai facing beach. Maracuya beach club right next door. Our family of 6 had a wonderful Christmas vacation here. Location was close to Los Cocos area, shopping, beaches, supermarkets, and lots of restaurants and souvenir shops as well as excursions. Diamante Eco Adventure Park was 1 hr and 20 min away, Playas del Coco and its malecon (boardwalk), just 10 min away and Marina Del Rey for Catamaron tours has a destination from Playas del Coco also. Playa Hermosa just 20 min away, Llanos del Cortez waterall just 1 hr and half away. Owners were super helpful with our questions and making sure we had everything we needed. Loved our first Costa Rican vacation.

The most beautiful villa with the best views steps from the beach and pool. Lovely spacious villa with everything you need to feel at home. And the terrace is amazing, morning coffee was always an inspirational experience. There is a restaurant on site for lunch and dinner and for afternoon cocktails by the pool the staff is very gracious. Our hosts Carol Ann and Alvin are exceptional people so friendly and welcoming and i truly enjoyed getting to know them If you’re looking for a paradise getaway it would be hard to beat this place.

Well appointed house in a beautiful location. Restaurant on property was delicious with great cocktails. House is right on ocean with a very short walk to a beautiful sparsely populated beach. House was very clean. Many beach towels provided., which is nice. Would highly recommend.

This property is simply wonderful; we plan to come back in the future. The floor plan is great for a family, the kitchen is well set up for longer stays and cooking, the beds are comfortable, the AC works well, the resort staff is terrific, and the communication with the host is great too. We had issues with the wifi at the start of the stay but the owner got it sorted out quickly. It is now great and can handle multiple video calls. The views are unmatched! I appreciated the high latches on (all but one of) the doors, as it helped keep little kids away from the water when unsupervised. The road to the resort is bumpy, and it takes about 20 mins to drive to Coco, but you'll just want to stay here in paradise. The amazing shared pool at the terrific restaurant is next door, which is super convenient. If you want only silence, you should know you'll hear some music from the restaurant until about 9pm a couple days a week. This did not bother us at all, it added to our fun. The beach was good for little kids; some days it was a bit too rough and some days it was fine. We saw a whale once and dolphins a couple times, and howler monkeys in the trees of course. Generally our stay could not have been better. This property is beyond recommended.

Stunning property! Was fortunate to spend a nice stretch of our vacation here. The view is breathtaking. Property is very clean and well maintained, and as pictured on VRBO site. On-site staff was extremely helpful during our stay, always smiling and eager to help. Similarly, the owner was easily contacted and responsive when we needed assistance. I was a bit worried that being located next to restaurant and pool it might be noisy. It was not noisy in the least, and being able to eat at the restaurant just a few steps away was awesome. This is a great property run by great people. Just book it!

So clean, interior even nicer than pictures. The view is gorgeous. I think this unit is the best location on the entire property, tucked away yet steps to the pool and restaurant and the beach. Black sand beach is unique and pretty. Food and drinks, like most reviews indicate was fantastic and we ended up not cooking at all! The office staff and all service staff so friendly, fun and accommodating. Father Roosters very good and fun restaurant too. Owner communication excellent. Highly recommend.

Our family had a great vacation. Everything was perfect, location, The home, the grounds, the resort… We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for spring break. Everything is perfect. Casar and Abi were so helpful before we got there, helping us schedule transportation and excursions. The Villa is amazing and the view from the deck is breathtaking. We had coffee on the patio every morning enjoying the view. The staff at the restaurant are so nice and service is great. We took the mixology class one afternoon with Mauricio (spelling?) he was a great mixologist and the class was a blast! It’s located about 10 min from Playa del Coco, we drove into town a couple afternoons and also for dinner. I would definitely recommend this place and Villa, you won’t be disappointed.

From the get go the villa owner and the resort management made the process simple and helpful. The villa right on the beach,, steps to private quaint beach and resort pool and restaurant. Must drive to get anywhere else but like the other reviews say, Coco beach (larger but no overly populated) is 3 miles away. You can certainly walk or bike, the locals do, just be warned it’s basically Marshall law ;) This only adds to the experiment though! We have been all over the world and this was one of our top vacations by far! Definitely a 10!

We loved our stay in Bahia Pez Vela. Al the owner and the staff in the front office were extremely helpful in helping us coordinate transfers to/from the property and the airport and arranging excursions for us. The condo itself is perfectly located within steps of the ocean and pool. The restaurant next door has incredible food and everyone was so friendly. Cannot say enough about this place. We will definitely be booking again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly beach vacation.

Family vacation over Christmas with 4 adult children. Everything about the Villa was perfect: property, unit, amenities. We LOVED it. I literally cannot think of what would have made it better. Although within a 'resort' we felt we had ample privacy due to the orientation of the villa. Due to the topography of the bay, the beach was basically a private one. Just fantastic all way around. Would return and would highly recommend to others.

What a wonderful location and a beautiful villa steps to the ocean or pool and also next door to the restaurant and bar. However you may want to rent a car or golf cart to get into playa Coco that's where all the shopping and nightlife is at. Overall an outstanding vacation!

This place exceeded all expectations! From waking up to the waves and sounds of the wildlife, to the gorgeous black sand beach, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect villa for our family vacation. The villa was spacious and had everything we needed. Villa 10 specifically is steps from the beach, pools and restaurant! The location is prime! Coco Beach has a beautiful beach, excellent restaurants and bars and is only 10 minutes away! We WILL be back again soon. Thank you for sharing your villa with our family! It truly is paradise!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week in Paradise. This was our 2nd stay in Bahia Pez Vela, but our first in unit #10. We loved the location relative to the beach and restaurant. Everything was as stated in the description and we’ll definitely be back!

We just returned from the most amazing week at this resort. We are from the midwest United States and it was our first time in CR. After a long travel day we quickly realized it was completely worth it! This villa is beautiful, clean, well stocked and perfectly located near the pool and steps to the beach. We will miss our morning coffee on the patio listening to the waves. We have three kids, ages 15, 13 and 9. They became fast friends with Cesar and Michael at the Maracuya restaurant. The food and service were so good that we stayed and ate dinner at Maracuya at least 4 times. We also went to Father Roosters which was fun as well. We were treated so well by everyone at the resort and also appreciated the security staff that was always around and watching over the resort, not that we ever had anything to feel concerned about. Our family was very sad to leave this beautiful private beach, pristine beautiful pool and clean, spacious villa. Thank you Al and everyone at Bahia Pez Vela for the vacation of a lifetime.

We were blown away by our experience with this property. Alvin was very helpful with information to make our trip easy and stress free. The staff at the restaurant And front office were great. (Food was awesome) We are bringing family back next year!!!

Location overpassed expectations. The BBQ was almost new and the facilites were pretty much OK. It was an excellent place to see the birds, to reach the beach, to go to the pool.

We just love it here and we’re thrilled to be back for the second time in five months. As with our first visit, the staff, food and accommodation are all fantastic. A wonderful place for your next vacation!

We had a great time staying here, the pool area was fantastic, the beach was great, snorkeling and body surfing right on the beach. Loved the area and the management hosts were very helpful as well, Cesar and Jackie.

We had an amazing first time in Costa Rica. The villa was perfect. Everything we needed and wanted. Location to the beach, pool, restaurant and bar, main office was perfect. We never needed to leave. The Location was better than expected. The Villa's location offers million dollar views. The resort is small, quiet but nice. We loved it!

We had the pleasure of spending one week in Villa 10. It has the most beautiful views of the ocean, and the beautiful and quiet black sand beach. The Villa is beside the lovely and clean pool, and the restaurant, yet still very private. The home is appointed with everything you could need, and we enjoyed preparing some of our own meals, while also having the convenience of the on-site restaurant, and many more great restaurants a short drive away. The owners, and Al in particular who we communicated with, were wonderful and quick to respond to any questions leading up to our stay, and helpful in arranging rental vehicles and provided a lot of information and suggestions for what to see and do in the area. Overall incredible, and we are already thinking about a return visit!

We had no idea what to expect on our first and recent visit to Villa 10 at Bahia Pez Vela Resort but we wish to share that we all loved it here very much! The ocean view was spectacular and only steps from the beach. The villa itself was luxurious, comfortable and spotless. The office manager Cesar and his assistant Jacky were lovely to deal with and helped us willingly to plan our excursions. Having worked in hospitality for over forty years we admit to having great appreciation when it comes to dining and service and we have nothing but high praise for each and every meal that was served to us over our month-long stay at the Maracuya Beach Club restaurant. Also, the staff were consistently amazing! They exhibited total professionalism that was combined with genuine caring and friendship. We have nothing but glowing comments about all our experiences here but our biggest thanks you goes to Carolanne and Al who own Villa 10. They did everything imaginable to help us to prepare for our first experience in Costa Rica and at the resort. If you are looking for the perfect vacation, this is definitely the place to go. We had a wonderful vacation in Costa Rica! Villa #10 at Bahia Pez Vela is awesome with a beautiful view and everything we needed for a relaxing vacation.

This beautiful house was the perfect destination for our family. The house was completely appointed, the location was steps from the pool, steps from the beach, and steps from the restaurant Maracuya. It was easy to rent snorkel equipment, as well as kayaks. The sound of the ocean filled the house and the view was fantastic. We booked a couple of small day trips, but mostly just enjoyed the down time. The owners are very responsive. Quick shout out to the staff (Melvin was awesome!) and chef of Maracuya. Ate Thanksgiving dinner as well as other meals there and the food was fresh and service great. Nothing like having an afternoon mango daquiri poolside while taking in the views of the ocean. Highly recommend this home!
