Greg's house was the perfect place for our weekend celebration in Windham. We arrived in the middle of a heatwave and Greg gave us a day-of heads up on the a/c operation, and even suggestions about which parts of the lawn would be best for setting up a tent for a bbq. Everyone loved walking around the property and saying hi to the animals. Every spot in the house was comfortable, and there were places for the quiet and the sociable alike. Everyone kept asking how we found such a great spot, and some family are already making plans to rent the Dancing Horse for future gatherings. The provided guide was super helpful as well.

Really great experience

We had a great time at Greg’s property. The house is huge and easily accommodated the 25 guests we had. It is very conveniently located for those that like to take advantage of skiing between Hunter and Windham mountains. Greg was extremely responsive and very easy to work with anytime we had questions arise. I would definitely recommend to others and will most certainly keep this place in mind for future trips! Clean, spacious, excellent response time with Greg, he was very accommodating, we really felt welcome, and we thoroughly enjoyed!!! We had beautiful white fluff, and Greg arranged for a snowplow to come to clear the driveway and road to get out. Great outdoor space for snowtubing. We'd love to go back!!

My dance team rented out the place and it was a lot of fun. Plenty of room to relax and sleep. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of appliances and tools for us to cook and have breakfast and dinner. Definitely a great place to stay. Would come back

We had our high school reunion at the Dancing Horse Farm at the beginning of August. The property is just as it is described. Owner Greg was very responsive, courteous and accommodating . The house is very nicely located just off the center of Windham and it is convenient to a small market, coffee shops and restaurants, although we didn’t go out to eat much. The house is nicely equipped with everything for a large party: pans and pots, serving platers, plenty of dishes, glasses, mugs, spices. So we did our own cooking. The rooms are good sizes and very clean. The bathrooms are also clean and the showers have excellent water pressure, which is wonderful after a day of hiking in the sun. All in all, we had a wonderful time at Greg’s property and I would highly recommend it.

The house was incredible and fit our whole party quite comfortably, high ceilings and a great common room made everyone feel included. This rental exceeded expectations and the owner was so friendly and had great communication. Can’t say enough about the property, can’t wait to go back

This was by far one of the best rental properties I've ever booked. We hosted two back to back retreats over 6 days and 5 nights and had an amazing time. Greg was extremely helpful in supporting us as we were setting up and made the process easy, streamlined, and helpful at every point. Every item we could have needed was available from heating and cooling, to every kitchen utensil imaginable (neatly organized), to spices and ingredients to make cooking meals together easier. The beds, towels, and spaces were perfectly clean and pleasant for even our most high-maintenance guests. When planning events the one thing you don't want to have to worry about is the quality of the venue and that was super easy here. Thank you to the entire Dancing Horse Farms team for helping us create such a memorable experience!

Dancing Horse was THE PERFECT place for our performing group's 26th year reunion. We were 30 adults plus a family of 4, and the house was comfortable and beautifully fit us all! The rooms were spacious, the layout is great, and the common area with open floor plan with kitchen facing large dining table and living space was perfect for all of us to be indoors and enjoying each other's company, and it never felt crowded! The house is super well stocked with lots of dishes, plates, serving platters, etc., Greg is an AMAZING host and promptly answered my zillion questions over the months when we planned our reunion. He even went over and above by graciously taking detailed pictures of every single drawer and all the kitchen ware to ease my mind that we'd have all we need to cook for and serve everyone for our reunion. We didn't need to buy disposable plates, plasticware, cups, etc. Oh, and when I asked if the house came with ice chests, he let me know that he purchased a couple and we could pick it up at the local hardware store!! That's what I call a super host! Our group enjoyed all the different outdoor places to hang out as well - the balcony, the downstairs lounge areas, the firepit area, the back firepit, etc. The caretaker's apartment (separate booking fee) was the perfect place for the one family of 4 that joined us. All around amazing experience and perfect for our reunion! You won't regret this booking if you're looking for something cozy and beautiful!

Our family's stay at Dancing Horse Farm could not have been better! We had a multi-generational family gathering at the farm this past weekend. The owners have thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable. Greg could not have been a more accommodating and gracious host. The grounds are beautiful and the kids loved to see the horses on the property. Very comfortable and just perfect for our gathering. We will definitely be back!

We just wrapped up an incredible stay at the Dancing Horse Farm. The property is a perfect retreat for families & friends looking to travel together. Our children had plenty of space to spread out. The property was under 10 minutes from the Mountain, and it was very clean, kudos to the cleaning crew! The floor plan was perfect for large group meals, and enjoying each other’s company. Greg was so great to work with, very accommodating and responsive. We will be back for sure! What a gem in Windham.

This house is so perfect for multiple families. There was tons of room for each family and the kids loved the game room with pool table and darts. Greg was an amazing host -- so helpful and communicative. It's a 5 minute drive to Windham Mountain. A perfect ski getaway!

My coworkers and I come here every year for our annual ski trip. We keep coming back because there is no place better. Plenty of bedrooms, plenty of room for fun, close to both windham and Hunter, and the owners could not be more attentive. Best place ever!

If you're looking for a place to accommodate a large group nestled in a rustic country setting with beautiful views.... this is it! The rental process was very smooth. Greg goes out of his way to reach out with information and answer questions. He's very flexible. He takes extra steps to provide written guidance that covers all aspects of your stay from how to use the wifi, tv's, check in and check out procedures to local area restaurants and attractions. There are simple rental reference guides throughout the house. The house is on a well kept farm which makes the stay even more unique. The property is vast and quiet with plenty of room to gather or spread out both inside and outside. There's plenty of beds and bathrooms and a terrific dining area for big group meals. Greg provides plenty of towels, linens and the beds were comfortable. Our stay was for a 50th Birthday with a group of college friends. We all enjoyed hanging out with adult beverages at the fire pit and a big dinner in the house. Dancing Horse Farm offers a clean, rustic, and spacious rental that's sure to afford all who visit a stay with great memories. Will definitely look to rent here again for a group of family and/or friends. Thanks Greg!

The house was just as advertised. Perfect for our group of 25. The weather wasn't great but there was still plenty to do during our retreat. Greg was responsive. I highly recommend this house for your Catskill stay.

My bridal party stayed at Dancing Horse Farm for the weekend of our wedding, and it was an absolute dream! Greg (the property owner) was so wonderful and thoughtful, addressing all of my questions. We built so many incredible memories here! This is where my bridesmaids got ready and we even had our rehearsal dinner here. The grounds are breathtaking and the house is perfect for a big group. Plus the house is super close to Windham Mountain. Can't say enough positive things. Amazing!

Greg hosted 22 of us for my buddies bachelor party and we had a blast. The property offered so much to do between bonfires, walks on the property, or football/baseball games in the main living area. Our main goal was ensuring we could all stay in the same place and Greg’s home slept us all very comfortably. Communication was seamless and Greg was more than accommodating for any questions we had.

Wonderful visit. We are a local family ( all within an hour drive) but decided to rent the property for our son's Windham Mt. wedding weekend. We stayed on property the night before the wedding and had our rehearsal dinner there. Then had the home to get ready the next day and an after party after the wedding. We had close to 30 people including bride's family, groom's family and friends (ages ranging from 2 to 60 years old). The property was less than 10 minutes from the venue at Windham Mt. The location was perfect, the scenery was beautiful and the home was just perfect for our pre and post celebrations. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay and did not want to leave.
