We meet up with a group of 4 couples every other year and spend a week together. The house was great, providing plenty of room and bathrooms for everyone. We were also impressed with how well stocked it was. The house is also centrally located allowing quick drives to anywhere we went. Lane was great with communication and very responsive. It made for a great vacation!

We loved everything about this house! It’s just down the road from Door Peninsula winery and is on a dead end which is great! Plenty of room for us 6 girls to sleep comfortably in our own bed. 5 rooms with 1 room with a bed and bunk bed. The house had everything you need. Loved that it was secluded. Lane was super responsive and proactive in giving us helpful information prior to our stay. The whole space and vibe is very comfortable for a bigger group.

This is a lovely home. So clean, cozy, and left like we were at home. We will definitely be renting from lane again. Lane was very responsive when communicating with him.

Great place and great location. We had a lager group of family and friends coming from multiple directions. This was the perfect set-up for us, to be able to spend time together when we weren't visiting Door County spots.

Beautiful property located off the beaten path. We used it for a girls weekend and it was perfect. Loved the high end appliances, large deck, and spacious home. Lane was great with updating me on check in and check out details. House was very well stocked. We never got a chance to use the fire pit, but it looked great and there was plenty of wood right by it.

Slept ten adults very comfortably, a great kitchen setup and a great deck. Very private location and a very accommodating owner.

Pantry was super stocked with all kinds of spices and seasonings. Most complete selection of pots/pans/skillets/utensils I have seen in any kitchen. We cooked every breakfast and dinner in the house. The outside grill was like new and we enjoyed having the whole family sit down to eat together at the table on the deck. The layout of the house served our needs very well. The grandchildren could nap in the basement without being awakened by activity upstairs. The bunkbed was a delight for the 3-year-old. Every floor was safe for the learning-how-to-walk-one-year-old. Beds comfortable. Plenty of seating for our family of 10. Very relaxing location with view of trees/woods from every window. We enjoyed watching the turkeys roost in the trees one evening. Very inviting firepit with plenty of wood provided. We drove 10-30 minutes to various sites on the peninsula each day. Always a little drive but not too far. Lane responded immediately to two inquiries and very accommodating.

This house was perfect for our family and the week long stay in Door County. Just 15-20 minutes away from beaches, parks and sight seeing spots, it was an easy house to get to any activity/adventure you wanted to do. Lane and the house had everything you may have needed/wanted to make you feel right at home!

We just wrapped up an incredible family vacation week in Door County! This house was everything... And then some!! It had everything you could possibly need, right down to Tupperware for leftovers to bring home! The house was spacious and comfortable. There are plenty of hangout spaces and something for everyone. Whether you want to lounge on the deck with a book or have a family game night! The beds were incredibly comfortable and there was plenty to do for the kiddos (ping pong, basketball, games, etc)! We spent an extended family weekend, and this house worked great. We had 3 generations with family units able to spread out but still right there to congregate. Very beautiful interior with modern updates while maintaining country getaway atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This Carlsville house was above & beyond any expectations I could ever have for a Door County rental. Beautiful house & equally beautiful deck & grounds. I was blown away by how well stocked this house was. We came up for a multi-generational family reunion in Jacksonport & everyone who came by was equally impressed with this house, even my cousins who live in Door County. And BTW this 6 star house comes with a 6 star host in Lane. VBRO should list him as a super, super host. Carlsville House is our new #1 rental spot in Door County. Bonus- a winery, a distillery & a coffee spot right around the corner. What else do you really need? Except cherries & cheese curds....

Very well-stocked and spacious home. Living room has comfortable sofas, including leather recliners. Three bedrooms upstairs, with one king size bed - all of the beds were comfortable. The basement had two bedrooms and a full bathroom, which was great as well. Beautiful, wooded, and secluded location. The appliances in the kitchen were top of the line and we had a great time using the grill on the deck as well. Our family and friends (three toddlers and three couples) all greatly enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend.

Lane has his property beautifully decked out. All the amenities you could ever need including board games utensils basic cooking needs great fire pit basketball court ping pong and much much more. He was extremely helpful and responsive. Total pro. 5 star experience!

This is the best organized check in and out. The house and amenities were more than expected. I have used vrbo for 6 rentals. I would call this house my favorite. I was surprised to see the basketball hoop and ping pong table were used by everyone. Nice game of 2 on 2. The supply of household items was fabulous! Other rentals give a "starter" roll of paper towel and a roll of toilet paper. The host here went above and beyond the standard rental. We all enjoyed our time on vacation.

Lane was an excellent host. He always got right back to me if I had a question. My family really enjoyed the house. The kids played basketball and ping pong. It was nice to have the lower level for the teens.

We traveled with two families, including 6 children ages 5-14, and loved our stay. This home is in a great location to explore Door County! It was well maintained and stocked with everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay again!

This house is perfect for those who want to enjoy a beautiful quiet setting, eat and relax on a spacious deck or stay indoors with a fire in winter. If your group includes little people or people who want to see the sights of the peninsula you will be spending more time driving (eg, its about 30 minutes to Al Johnson's in Sister Bay). Teenagers who would like to stay behind will have enough to do at the house to entertain them. The house is well equipped with cookware, dishes, grills, towels and video entertainment options.
