Lovely presented property with everything you need for eating in and preparing meals or recommendations for close by things to do and see. Lovely place to stay with your horse also.

Beautiful property and lovely owners. The cottage has everything you need and the beds are super cozy. We loved seeing the horses in the paddocks every day and Marley the border collie. The large fire pit was a real hit for our family (don't forget the marshmallows!) We also got to feed the beautiful horses one evening in their stable which was lovely. Highly recommend Hillborne Cottage.

Absolutely magic views from the deck and beautiful location adjacent to multiple hiking trails. The cottage is very cosy and filled with thoughtful touches to make your stay extra comfortable. So lovely to be able to bring our dog who enjoyed every minute!

This was our second winter mini-break at Hillborne. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the warm, cosy cottage and sitting on the deck watching the horses grazing in the paddock. We even spotted some rabbits and a bandicoot! The cottage has everything you need and Melissa is an amazing host. We look forward to coming back soon!

I enjoyed a lovely week at Hillborne with my dogs. The cottage has everything you need and shops are nearby. Great to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city but not too removed from it at the same time. Good sized, enclosed yard for my dogs. Lovely outlook to the horses in adjacent paddock.

We loved our stay. After a record breaking hot and dry summer we were delighted to have a little rain to green up the dry paddocks. The cottage has everything we could want and more. The full kitchen has it all and each appliance is a quality one. The personal touches take the cottage from just a good B&B to a delightful one. The colours, the artwork, the bed linen and little thoughtful additions all made our stay not just comfortable but memorable… and homely at the same time. Arriving from the property gate, to the carport, the back exterior of the cottage seemed disappointing but how wrong we were. The views to the (albeit dry for this time of year) paddocks with the horses and the beautiful trees was just as soothing as depicted in the ad. We used the verandah as much as we could, especially in the late afternoon when the feeding birds were a joy to watch and listen to. Melissa was an ideal host, checking in as she went about her afternoon chores but sensitive to the fact we didn’t need entertainment, just peace. Hillborne Cottage has that in spades and more.

Our stay at Hillborne Cottage was amazing. Melissa is the perfect host, being available if needed. The cottage is comfortable and well stocked with games and what you need for cooking. The eggs and honey were a lovely touch, and the location can’t be beaten if you like to walk or cycle, as it’s right on the heritage reserves trail. We will definitely be back.

Everything about this accommodation was spot on!! Spotless, amazing setup, view, unwind time!! Managed by a dead set legend!! Melissa is the best!! Secure property - secluded but convenient to all amenities, bushwalks, pubs!! Took the pooch on her 1st holiday!! She was perfect - cos we were so happy!! We’ll b back!!

This is a gorgeous little cottage set on beautiful grounds, private yet open, you feel like you’re a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The owner Melissa is fantastic to deal with, very agreeable and flexible and friendly. Highly recommend.

A thoughtfully curated cottage with quality bed linen and eclectic, yet warm, rustic vibes. Excellent springboard to see Perth Hills sites like Mundaring Weir with easy access to historic and scenic walks. It would be glorious in the cooler months as the paddocks that are in full view grow to shades of green. Very sweet place for an easy staycation away from the crowds that offers a sense of the simple-life and a mindful reset.

My partner and I stayed one night at Hillborne cottage, and loved it! The property is in a beautiful location, and the accommodation itself is so clean and beautifully furnished. We took our dog along as well, and he loved having the house paddock to explore.The property is only a short distance away from Mundaring, so we were able to go into town to pick up some supplies for dinner. Everything else we needed was provided for in the kitchen- including milk, oil and other goodies! The owners really have thought of everything. We will definitely be back for another relaxing stay soon!

The cottage is very nice, very clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda, listening to the birdsong and watching them. Melissa was the kindest most thoughtful host! Even before I arrived her communication ensured that I would be well rested, refreshed and welcomed so beautifully at Hillborne. The house and all ammenities were luxurious, warm, inviting, creatively beautiful and just so relaxing. The property is stunning and so peaceful, the local birds and horses on the property were such a gorgeous bonus to my stay. I will most definitely be back to this place that felt like home more than a vacation rental!

The cottage is situated in a beautiful location near Perth and provides a feeling of escape. It's perfect for walks and has a lovely balcony to enjoy the early morning and evening view of horses, birds, bunnies, and other wildlife. The hosts were accommodating and allowed our dog to roam freely in the fully enclosed yard, which our furry friend thoroughly enjoyed. The property was immaculate and well-maintained, with fresh eggs, honey, and delightful surprises upon arrival.

The owner family was very kind. The accommodation is very clean and new. Nice and wide kitchen with enough dishes, glasses, and cooking tools. BBQ grill was also ready. I could enjoy BBQ.

We loved our stay at Hillborne! The house was immaculately clean and really did feel like our own home for a couple of nights. Being able to take our little dog was just fabulous - and he had a whale of a time. Looking out over the paddocks taking in the surrounding nature was the perfect escape from the rat race!
