I was celebrating my 40th birthday, and was excited about getting away from Chicago for a bit. The house was amazing with plenty of room. The hosts were so nice! They let me a welcome not and a bottle of wine. We had a blast!

Great home for lots of people, and it was Ultra Clean! And we loved that coffee bar! The Nespresso was a plus!

Just spent a long weekend here and we were delighted through and through. It was only our family of four, but this home is huge and would be amazing for multiple families enjoying a vacation together. Plenty of nooks and crannies, huge table for dining, plenty of space to hang out, lovely porch and a fun, conveniently located coffee/wet bar. Internet was blazing fast. Neighborhood itself is in a residential section a couple streets away from the main drag in Three Oaks -- but large yards provide plenty of privacy. There is an occasional train that zips by next door, but was not a nuisance at all (amtrak, I believe, definitely not freight). Note that fireplace in photos is not accessible, but firepit outside is. We look forward to visiting again.

The set up of this home was perfect for what we needed! It had a wonderful living room/dining room space that allowed us all to hangout in the same space! It was walking distance to down town and Journeyman Distillery. The beds were incredibly comfortable and each room was equipped with robes and slippers!

This house was perfect for entertaining with family. With a big living and large dining room table, we were able to play games and host a family dinner with everyone sitting together. The extra mini-kitchen in the bar area was perfect for making cocktails and serving coffee in the morning. All the rooms were nicely decorated and each had their own robes, slippers and shower toiletries. The owners clearly put a lot of care into this house!

We really enjoyed our Christmas holiday at Hickory House. There were plenty of rooms to sleep our family. The beds were very comfortable. The house was very clean. We really enjoyed the coffee bar and 2 refrigerator. Compliments to the hosts.

Our niece’s wedding reception was to be held at the Journeyman’s Distillery in Three Oaks on Dec. 18. We needed a VRBO home close to the venue. The composition of the group: my husband and I, 2 of our daughters and their husbands, 1 son and fiancé, 1 single daughter and 1 single son and three children, ages 9, 6 and 8 mo. The 6 bedrooms worked out great. The house was clean, stocked with many extras (like bathrobes, slippers, 2 refrigerators, etc.), and modern, comfortable interior. The house was 2 1/2 blocks from the Distillery, Vicker’s Theatre, Froehlich’s and other shops, eateries. A 20 minute drive to New Buffalo took us to the Ghost Isle Brewery, which we loved. Maybe the best thing about the house were the extremely comfortable beds with cozy duvets. It was a wonderful weekend and we highly recommend this house!

The house was perfect for our group. Walking distance to journeyman distillery. Quick drive to breweries. Beautiful house with lots of space.

We stayed here for my wedding weekend and it was the perfect place for several of us to gather. There was a ton of space to eat and hang out and the many rooms and bathrooms made the place very comfortable as we were all still able to have privacy. The amenities were an awesome touch and much appreciated, I would love to stay here again!

Ivan and Carly have done an exceptional job adding lots of extra touches to help make your stay very at home. The house is perfect for a big family or multiple couples. Each room in the house has robes and slippers!! This house gets 5 stars, but I'd give it a 10 +!!

Our wedding party and their significant others stayed at this place during our wedding weekend. This was perfect for all 12 people that stayed at the place and we even had a small rehearsal dinner in the backyard with ~25 people. The hosts, Ivan and Carly, are the bests hosts we've had in our ~decade of traveling. Definitely recommend this place.

We’re a big family, had 10 adult guests (5 couples) and 2 kids. House and location were perfect for what we needed: close to the beaches/dunes, plenty of hang out space, and enough privacy in each of the rooms. Beds were comfortable and layout of the home was ideal for us, but if you have more than 6 couples the room layout would be a bit of a challenge. The outdoor patio and large property were extra benefits for our yard games and to hang around the fire. The hosts were responsive every time we sent a message. You can tell they care about making the guest experience top notch. Would highly recommend to any groups!

Our family absolutely loved this beautiful home! Ivan’s home was clean, comfortable, well decorated, equipped with everything you would need and our large family had a ton of space. Every day we walked into the quaint and super cool town of Three Oaks to enjoy a meal at their many choice of restaurants and browsed the town. Our grandchildren loved running around Ivan’s huge yard. The large dining room table accommodated our large group for meals wonderfully. We would 100% recommend staying at this beautiful home!

The owner was so quick to reply to my questions from the start and the house was just perfect. So many cute little details that were provided to us starting with a little snack basket upon our arrival and essentials provided in the bathrooms including make up wipes that I totally forgot until I turned around and was totally surprised to see them provided to us. The beds were the comfiest I have ever slept in in my life and the comforters were even cozier. House was super clean and the location was so close to any beach we wanted to go to. I would highly recommend this house to anyone!

Lots of great common space to be together and plenty of spots for peaceful moments too. So many thoughtful amenities and extremely comfortable. We cook a lot - if you do to, we suggest you bring a few extra pots/serving pieces - but plenty there if you don’t. Owners were responsive and kind.

Booked this cozy house for a pre-Easter dinner with my family and it totally exceeded our expectations. Carley and Ivan sure know what it takes to host. You can find just about everything in this fully stocked house from robes and slippers, to firewood, flashlights, snacks and wine and sooooo much more! This house has a very comfy clean feel to it and they truly pay attention to detail. Highly recommend!

The house was very clean, adorable (just as pictured!), and a comfortable place to spend the weekend. Tons of amenities to make us feel welcome. It is within walking distance to the downtown area but also feels secluded. A short drive to wineries and hiking trails. But we also just loved sitting by the fire and enjoying cozy the sunroom. We rented to house for my bachelorette weekend and couldn’t have been happier! Everyone room was clean, decorated super cute and even had robes and slippers for each girl! The owners responded to every question I had within 5 minutes! Would rent again in a heart beat!

We were with two other couples for a five day vacation. We visited many little towns in the area and it was perfect. The house was clean and had all the amenities. There were so many nice extra touches. Robes and slippers, flashlights, snacks and wine to name just a few. Our hosts were very responsive and very easy to communicate with. Three Oaks has so many cute little restaurants and shops all within walking distance of the house. We would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking for a great place to stay!!

This was a great property for a 3 day family get away to Warren Dunes and Lake MI. We used to live in this area and it was a treat to visit NewBuffalo and all the cute shops and ice cream as well as spend our days at the beach and hiking the dunes. the house was comfortable and cool and had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Ivan was exceptional at communicating. The home was clean and nicely decorated. It’s a quick (10 minute) drive to all the activities in New Buffalo and Union Pier. It was also nice to have the comforts of home ((Netflix, YouTube, etc) so we could relax after a long day in the sun.

The house is adorable and worked perfectly for a quick overnight. Ivan was prompt with resounding, and the house was very clean set up with lots of extra special touches.

Great experience! Fire pit made for a great night! An extra shower would be great for number beds, but we knew that going in :) thanks for hospitality!

When you arrive you will instantly be transported to a place where history is the shining star. Was this two homes? An add on? A garage? A barn? There is room after room and nook and cranny after nook and cranny to enjoy in this historic property in Three Oaks. Walking distance from a cute downtown, this peaceful home was perfect for our annual friends getaway weekend. The Owners put their “you are at home” stamp on everything. From coffee to face wash, it is evident that guest comfort is their goal. Thank you Ivan and Carly for allowing us into your slice of Southwest Michigan heaven!
