The property was great fully staffed with everything you could need. The view was fabulous. Everything was terrific. We had a wonderful time.

My family had the best time. This place is precious. We just really enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time.

Loved our quaint bungalow on the Atlantic. The deck was outstanding. Watched the sunrise daily and early morning surfers from the deck. House was comfortable and well furnished. Beds were comfy. Plenty of towels were supplied. Kitchen was very well equipped. Loved the sweet and friendly town of Folly Beach as well as the proximity to Charleston. Don’t miss the bird sanctuary at the end of E Ashley.

We had an idyllic stay at Folly Beach. The weather was beautiful and the huge deck at the back of Someplace Else made the trip. We were able to enjoy the beach without sitting in the sand:) We drank our coffee as we sat and watched the sun rise over the ocean each morning on the deck and then did yoga to the sound of the waves rolling in, while the surfers glided and crashed. We walked on the beach every morning picking up the shells left from the previous night. The walk to the beach was short and beautiful. It felt like a private beach. Hardly anyone there except us and the surfers. Evenings we sat on the deck as the moon rose over the ocean, playing games on the deck in the cool night air. The house is older and showing some signs of its age, but the location is fantastic and I would stay again because of it.

We have stayed many times at Someplace Else and love it. This particular trip was short (2 days) since we were attending a wedding on the Island and just needed a place that we could stay to avoid driving home after a long day. It provided a little extra downtime forfor our family to connect after the wedding. The weather wasn’t great but we still enjoyed our stay. The house is showing some wear and could use some updates but the location is awesome. We appreciate the welcome wine and cookies and early checkin. We look forward to our next stay.

My husband and I stayed at this beach house when we got married in Folly Beach 10 years ago and came back with our kids to celebrate our family’s 10th birthday. :) A special place dear to our hearts!

Great stay we enjoyed the views of the ocean but still had privacy with the trees on both sides of home. Coffee maker quite but owner had a replacement waiting at the door the same day! Definitely would recommend this home to anyone! Thanks Steven for a relaxing vacation/ anniversary

What a wonderful, relaxing time. This property was perfect for enjoying the chill vibes of Filly Beach.

Nice stay/ the home needs a lot of updating. We stay in Folly 5-6 times a year and love switching it up every time and this one unfortunately missed the mark on several things 1- the A/C needs to be completely upgraded. As much as we were mindful of keeping doors shut, it just stayed at 77-78. By the amount of fans in closet, I’m guessing this isn’t the first time hearing it (ironically our brand new HVAC unit was having issues the week we came so I did not reach out to owners because I was tired of dealing with repairs and didn’t feel like dealing with it on vacation. I will say leading up and during the stay they were very responsive and communication was zero problem so i am sure it may have gotten looked at on the trip, we just didn’t feel like dealing with that) 2 - make sure to read the home description to this is no beach access from the front. I highly do not recommend young kids here if you are taking wagons/etc to the beach. While the access is beside the home, it is stairs going up and stairs going down. Kind of defeated the oceanfront home to be honest - but we did know there wasn’t an access going into the trip. Just a heads up. This is ALSO surf beach/ so tons of surfers at this beach access all.day! 3 - even though the home is very dated, the house cleaners I could tell do an excellent job at keeping it clean and tidy in between guests & has just about all you need there 4- I would brighten the exterior up! Let it feel like a beach home when you pull in!

The location of this property is excellent! Right next to the public access, requiring you to go around the front of the house and next door, easy peasy. the deck out the back is also a plus to the experience As a beach house this place is excellent; no fuss, no muss, meaning a little dated but enjoyable. Plenty of parking and all the comforts of home

Loved the location of this space! It has been here for a while so gently used. If there were any issues or questions, response was 100% helpful. I would recommend it most comfortable for no more than 4 people to spend the night here unless you bring an air mattress. There’s plenty of room in the kitchen and bar area to eat and the views out to the beach are spectacular!

Perfect location to the beach. Back patio is amazing. The was house was clean, but could use some updating. We did have a great stay!

What a great house for enjoying Folly Beach!! It was exceptionally clean, well equipped, and so perfect to enjoy the beauty of the seaside! The screened in porch , the deck for enjoying the gorgeous view of the ocean, and of course the swing—make it the perfect spot for a great recharge!! Quick response from the i trip team when we had a short lived power outage not at all related to the house. We will stay here again! We rented a golf cart and never moved our car the entire time here! Enjoyed the quaint spots in town and of course the lighthouse excursion. Loved the quaintness and old Folly feel of the beach home! Thank you for sharing it with us!!

If you want a place right on the beach, this is the place! It was so nice to walk out to the deck and see the ocean. A beautiful place to sit and relax. The house is very rustic, but I found it was built in the 1940s. What an awesome history. We enjoyed our stay!!!

Could not stay in the house because of the odors of mildew & disinfectant sprays. Had to leave the property after a few hours. Very very dissapointed.

Perfect place to unwind and find peace. About a mile and a half from the pier, so the beach was quiet and relaxing. Still close enough to everything. The house was cozy and perfect for our stay.

Great beach house!! It is dated but very clean!! Had a great week. Would have loved to have beach chairs at the house and the deck furniture could have been upgraded. Overall a great week!!

Hard working over stressed nurses looking for a relaxing get away. We were able to leave our troubles behind and find our zen with nice walks on the beach and simple deck sits. The house was just the right size for 5 women. Nice distance from town that we didn't have to worry about the parting being bothersome, but close enough that we could partake when we wanted. Quick easy ride to local historical sites, attractions, and Charleston. Would highly recommend. Only thing missing was more washcloths/towels for the week, each of us only got one and not well stocked with basics like toilet paper.

Love the location and the deck. Kind of funky old house needs some maintenance work but the hot water was good, stove worked, and the heat worked on the days that we needed it. Would love to see a small washer dryer.

Nice location with easy stroll to pier and restaurants. House is exactly as advertised and property management highly informative and responsive. Recommend this place if you are looking for low key place to relax and still have options to explore.

Make no mistake…this is no Hilton. It’s rustic and not brand new, but plenty clean and lots of character. The pictures are spot on. Beach watching from the swing is great (but watch your step.) And be prepared for not too many staples in the kitchen. Finding Bart’s Market is a must. They are tiny, but miraculously always had what we were looking for. The people working there are fantastic and they always were easy to park at on our stay. Check out their boiled peanuts and ice cream. We also enjoyed the crab shack and Rita’s (great peel and eat shrimp.) The house had terrific parking and it’s a cute little 2 minute walk to the beach. Again, the access and views and sounds of the beach are the most stellar points to this place. We had a great stay, even with the typical SC fickle spring weather.

The location was worth every cent. It is a little dated but served our purposes. Overall the cleanliness was okay but if you looked in any detail it could be better. We had a great time and would look into staying there again.

A perfect location for our visit to Folly Beach.

Many here have commented on the "Rustic Nature" and it is true, if you are looking for sparkly brand new modern accommodations, this will not be the house for you. That being said if you want a TRUE "Beach House" experience, this is an amazing house. the Bedroom is fantastic, Large windows (That Open) where you get a lot of light and can listen to the ocean, The bed while only a Queen (I'm 6'4") is very comfortable. A comfortable Living Room with plenty of seating. Well appointed Kitchen, although a Keurig would be nice. :) Now lets talk about the outside, the Deck is the most amazing part of the house, Four Tables with lots of chairs. an area to set up a bar, a massive sundeck area (this is separate from where the tables are) and finally a swing situated in the Dunes. If you are looking for one of the most romantic getaways of your life this is it. the privacy on the deck is unmatched for a beach house, tree lines to the left and right of the deck area. If you look deep there are a few MINOR maintenance and cosmetic issues but nothing that detracts from an awesome experience We will definitely be coming back if not this summer but for the Flip Flop drop again next year.

Myself, two young kids and the grandparents really enjoyed out week off 13th St/Ashley. The house was as advertised and worked out perfectly. The deck is huge and provides a clear ocean view the entire time. Great communication from Steven and Sarah.

Words cannot describe the wonderful experience we had at "Someplace Else ". The home and location are absolutely perfect! The house was spotless, and all needed items were available. We have found our home away from home, and hope to return soon. Thank you Steven and Sarah for the surprise welcome gift, and for allowing our family to celebrate an amazing Thanksgiving in your home!
