We couldn’t have asked for a better centralized location to stay in. It was the perfect size for us and had everything we would need (even if we didn’t use everything!) we loved being able to walk everywhere within minutes. Condo is adorable and very clean as well! Looking forward to coming back!

My husband and I visited at the end of march with our 5 year old. I love finding less busy areas to vacation. The location is great! Walking distance to the beach acess/pier. Great little coffee shop right downstairs. Although we read this condos description on vehicle size, we struggled with the extremely tight parking space. We rented a small SUV but had to try tonpark between a saburban and another large vehicle. Frusterating, but not the property owners fault. Taco boys is right next door with live music. My toddler loved going on the deck and listending right outside the condo. Small condo but comfortable beds. The only complain was the rugs do not feel good on feet so bring slippers! Everything else was great!

My best friend and I stayed here for a long-weekend. We lived on Folly for years and pretty much know this entire island and let me say this place is SO cute and in the perfect location. Close to everything you’d want. Very clean and the hosts thought of everything you may need. They were also super responsive to any questions we had. My one suggestion would be bringing your own blankets if you’re able to. While the beds and comforters are super comfortable, the comforters are very thin and there was no extra blankets. Just having a throw on the couch would be nice. But it obviously wasn’t a big deal and I would absolutely stay here again!

The Shangri-La was exactly what we hoped for: clean, cozy and walking distance to EVERYTHING. Surrounded by great restaurants, cafes, shops and THE BEACH, it has anything you could need, all within steps of you leaving the front door. Management was quick to respond to everything and the neighborhood was safe and clean. The only issue was that Ubers were sometimes difficult to get but if you have a car, (or don't need to leave Folley Beach), this is the perfect place to stay!

Very close to everything in "downtown" Folly Beach. Several nice restaurants and your typical beach/tourist shops. Very close to the beach. The space was small but comfortable.

Everything was good, except for actual location. We are 2 older mature women. The steps were a little much for us, but ok. The smell of the garbage and restaurant grease was not good. Seeing numerous air conditioning units and dirty standing water was not wonderful.

I loved this little condo it was perfect for a small trip. Parking is very tough but luckily you do get one reserved space although very small. The place is just very conveniently located near everything the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Perfect place to stay!!

My siblings and I took a vacation to Folly Beach and stayed at Shangri-La. It’s a perfect little condo and location was ideal. We walked everywhere, the beach, shopping, restaurants, because it’s so close to everything. They had beach gear we could use such as beach chairs and beach towels and has all the essentials for the stay. I loved this cute little condo and would recommend it to anyone who may be looking for a place that can fit 1-4 people.

Clean, convenient, and all the comforts of home! We liked that it was like our own little apartment and near all the fun on Center Street!

This property was perfectly located in the heart of Folly Beach. We were steps away from great restaurants, shops, and the beach. We spent several days swimming and boogie boarding in the ocean. We broke up the beach days with several activities including sea turtle hatching at Edisto Island and the South Carolina Aquarium. The property was clean and had everything we needed. We had a dedicated parking spot which was great but it was sometimes pretty tight getting in and out due to the proximity of other vehicles. Other than parking, we couldn’t have been more pleased.

Although the location is nice because it is exactly in the center of folly, and walking distance to everything, there are a few detractors. Yes, it is a very small place, but the parking trying to get in was basically impossible. we have a 2020 Explorer and could not even park in our assigned spot because it was so tight. just be prepared to park on the street if you are going during the busy months because the parking lot is crammed with cars going all sort of which ways. Also, the pull out couch mattress was disgusting. At least 15 years old, covered in stains, ripped, spots on it. I am surprised if no one has complained about this. I would strongly recommend either removing this as a sleeping place from the listing or just buying a new mattress. For the amount we paid, I expect to have a more sanitary sleeping space.

We were there with our children 7&9 for 5 nights. The location is close to everything! We didn’t have to move our car once. The accommodations were lovely and perfect for what we needed. We would definitely stay here again. It was close to all the beach shops, restaurants (our favorites were Rita’s & Taco Boy) and even walked to the laundromat once during our stay. It is a short, very easy walk to the beach. Communication was great and questions we had were answered right away. The only downside were the tvs are kind of small & the smell of trash in the alley where you enter (only bc it is located near the back of a restaurant, but neither were dealbreakers or would prevent us from booking here again. We had a great vacation and if you want to be in the middle of the action, this is a perfect spot.

We had a fairly cool and rainy week of weather. While we spent time on the beach daily, we did spend quite a bit of time in the Shangrila Condo. It was comfortable, easy, quiet, and relaxed. It worked well for our cooking and meal needs. Great sized fridge. Plenty of cabinet space for prep. Water was always hot enough! This cosy bungalow is surrounded by the fun spots of Folly Beach. A single block stood between the unit and Folly Pier. All of this worked beautifully. Lastly, I will compliment the owners. Outside their control and mine, our arrival day was in heavy rains and poor visibility. A 5 hour trip took 8. As we drove into Folly Beach, I couldn’t even recognize landmarks with downpour and fog. The owners helped me get reoriented and find where to park, showing kind hospitality.

Cozy little apartment approximately 2 minutes from the beach. Very clean, adequate linens and beach chairs included. Pots and pans, dishes and silver wear in kitchen all in good working order. Steps from all that folly beach has to offer. We loved our stay and would definitely book again!

This place has the BEST location! Every morning I walked downstairs to the coffee shop just below the condo. The condo is also beside two of the best restaurants on Folly Beach, Taco Boy and Snapper Jacks. The beach and pier are just a block away! The condo was also clean and stocked with all the essentials you need. The check-in and check-out process was incredibly easy. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice apartment! Good location! Some restaurant workers next door were always hanging around at bottom of stairs- only negative about the apartment.

We stayed Thursday to Sunday. The accommodations were just as advertised. It was clean. Good location. TV's were small but we didn't go there to watch TV. It got a little loud on Friday night as a restaurant nearby had loud music playing outdoors until late. The only knock I can give the property is that they need to invest in some new bed pillows. We would definitely stay there again. Give them a try for yourself, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Shangri-La is a great place to stay for a family of four. The condo is located in the middle of downtown Folly and is so close to the beach. Hauling all of your beach stuff is no problem with the one minute walk to the ocean. The facility had every amenity needed for the price that we paid. We would absolutely stay here again!

This apartment is just delightful - nicely decorated with all the amenities and cozy. It is just a short block to the beach and right around the corner from restaurants and shops. I will be back on James Island and plan to stay there again!

This place was great! Awesome location and even has an ocean view! Could use some light on the steps, besides that everything was as expected. Hosts were very easy to communicate with. We'll be back for sure!

We have stayed in Charleston area for the last 20 yrs. This was our first time staying in the Folly Beach area. We were blown away by the location of this place. Just a couple minutes of walking and you can be anywhere from the restaurants to the beach. We will be staying here again!
