My stay was superb, quiet and peaceful. The set-up speaks to that of a professionally managed Guesthouse. The location is 10min within reach of Leasure Isle, Knysna Waterfront and Town centre.

Good location in a quiet neighbourhood. Everybody was friendly, and the breakfast we received was of better quality than what we had in some restaurants.

The wi-fi gave us some problems at times, but it might have been just a temporary issue, because when it worked, it was fast enough.

Even though we arrived late in the evening, Linda still had a big smile on her face and treated us with a welcoming kindness; and ensured our comfort before we all retired for the evening. Throughout our two-night stay, Linda was very accommodating with our schedule; and blessed us with beautiful breakfasts. The rooms were very comfortable, and we had a great view over the lake. All round, we were happy and will be returning should we be in the area again. Highly recommended.

The only thing I can think of to improve the stay, especially for folks with children, is a small jungle gym or something to keep the kids occupied.

I liked the welcoming as I entered Amber Guest Lodge Linda who is the owner makes you feel at home.Our room was very spacious neat and clean.The bed was very comfortable and warm.Breakfast was sooo delicious,warm,fresh and a lot of variety. I liked everything about this place and I'm definately going back soon.

Nothing absolutely nothing.

The place was great. Our room was an Executive with its own TV/Sitting room and lots and lots of space . It was overlooking the lake and atmosphere was excellent. The host was great and did extra for us on my wife's birthday. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed every moment of our stay there. The host every morning will alert us of the loadshedding schedules and provide advice on how best we can spend the day

This stay was unexpected and last minute but Amber house have managed to accommodate my family of 6 people. The breakfast was even better. furthermore they even accommodated us even after it was the checking in time.

Advertised as a lagoon view.but not anywhere near a lagoon.we were given 2xseparate rooms,OPPOSITE ENDS,NOT NEXT TO EACH OTHER,yet we booked 2xadults and 3xkids. My wife had to sleep in one room with 2xkids,and I had to sleep in another room with 1xkid.We stayed 2xnights,and asked for an upgrade,which we offered to pay.we were told to pay an extra R1400.for the two nights.we declined,as the two rooms next to each other,had an interleading door,BUT THE HOST SAYS SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE KEYS,so it served no purpose.very very dissapointed.

Such a lovely host, always friendly and willing to assist where possible. My room was cleaned daily and always spotless. The WiFi was stable and I was able to work remotely without a hiccup during the day. Delicious breakfast was served every morning. I will definitely be back again.
