very nice and cosy hotel. rooms very well decorated with outstanding bathroom. excellent service and great food.

Overall, my partner and i had a wonderful stay at The Kings Head. We will be returning in the summer with our dog.

Just one annoyance, I ordered the risotto at the pub restaurant, when the food arrived i asked for some parmesan, the waitress seemed a bit baffled by my request. She returned with a small pot, about 2 tablespoons. We were charged £1 for the parmesan. Ive never not been offered parmesan when having risotto and certainly never been charged for it.

Breakfast delicious, cooked to order by friendly chef. Rooms fresh, modern and quiet.

Our room wasn’t made up one day, but the team kindly moved us to an alternative room immediately.

The door slamming of doors first thing in the morning on all three mornings, the talking outside our room by the same door slammers and to top it all a barking dog, not a relaxing stay.

The staff went out of their way when they realised I had my dog with me, and was booked into a non dog friendly room. All was sorted within minutes

Beautiful rooms in a lovely location. Friendly staff who couldn't do enough for me. Food in the pub was good too. Cosy bar which made dining alone easier. Thank you for a lovely stay.

It would have been perfect if the tea and milk had been replenished however it wasn't an issue when I asked for more.

Only a minor thing. We went for new years expecting/hoping there would be something going on but the bar shut early, manager said this won't be the case next year. Still enjoyed our stay.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff in particular the girl who seemed to do everything were very pleasant and efficient. I liked the pub ambience in the bar.

We received a warm welcome by the staff who were really friendly and helpful. The room was amazing, really comfy and with plenty of room to relax. The restaurant was excellent with good service and really great food, breakfast was super too with a wide choice of food. WE loved our stay at the King's Head and will certainly return for another stay.
