room a little dull

Fabulous location. Great breakfast. Clean and comfortable.

Needs a bit of an update but was comfortable and very clean,

The receptionists were kind and helpful. The breakfast was good, there was many options to choose from. They printed my voucher for the museums what I forgot to do at home.

The hotel is so central, we bought a Graz card but we didn't need it in the end because everything is within walking distance. The train station is about 5 minutes on the tram, or an 18 min walk. Staff were very friendly, and the room was large and very clean. Looking out the window you can see the Marihilfer Kirche bell tower, which was beautiful.

The cleaning store was right next door to our room, so we were woken up by staff going in there pretty much every morning. The pillows were also pretty uncomfortable, and just one each, so I'd bring a travel pillow. The floor also creaks a lot when you walk around - but it's an old building.

we have booked a superior room, and we got a classic one. The temperature of the hot water isn't easy to adjust to warm.

The evening before our trip from Vienna to Graz my wife got severe chest pain and was transported to hospital. An EKG was made and she was ordered to come back next morning for various test. I called the hotel, then sent the hotel the EKG and asked to please waive the cancellation fee or give me a credit for the amount for my next stay as I have grandchildren in Graz. The hotel refused.

Pillows

Besides the location there is nothing to like about the hotel.

It is old and dirty. The room that i was in had the walls full of cracks and had a bathroom fan that had a thick layer of dust on it. I had a problem with the parking. I was to receive a parking reimburse of 26 eur, not even until today, almost a month later, have the money arrived in my account. They were kind enough to give me a reimburse receipt 🥲 though.

Excellently located in the heart of the city, this hotel has a nice lobby and kind staff, doing their best to give this hotel somewhat more than it actually has.

My room, just under the roof, was hopelessly outdated. The room was very warm, with only a very tiny roof window. To put a mobile fan is a nice gesture, but feels a bit pathetic as well, as it's overly clear that a more drastic solution is urgently needed. For example the tiles in the bathroom almost had museum value. The breakfast was OK, but it was quite strange not to see any jam on the offering. The capacity of the coffee machine was too low for the size of the breakfast room. A second machine would have been welcome.

breakfast was great. very good and fresh bread. the location is great. but you have to be aware that you are surrounded with bars so at night its not silent.

the reception desk was empty a lot. a whole morning we could not reach anybody, not even with phone. when we arrived it was kind of a problem to store our luggage as told in the email because of not enough space. the next day we waited with other guests about 20min until somebody came to the reception desk.

Very good, budget hotel, with star breakfast. Exceptionally clean room, comfortable bed, Perfect location, in the heart of the Old City.

Could be even better with air conditioning, mini fridge.
