the staff were nice

The worst experience ever at a hotel. A lot of ants in our room. The staff were nice and upgraded our room, but even at the upgraded room we found a silverfish bug.

The room temperature was over 26C and we could not get it down so we left the terrace doors open but then the seagulls were "in the mood" and the noise kept us awake.

location was best for me

I was napping one afternoon and a maintenance man walked into the room UNANNOUNCED! I jumped off the bed when I realized someone was in my room. he didnt speak English but proceeded to my balcony and dragged furniture through my room after pushing aside my luggage and other items, he actually dragged the chair legs across one of my that he knocked of a chair. There should have been a call from customer service FIRST before coming to my room, to see if it was ok! that’s very unprofessional! I wouldn’t expect that from a low end hotel. you don’t walk into rooms without knocking first!!!!!

Rooms could do with a refresh, bathroom caulking etc. Both pools looked a little dated but didn’t use them. Few minor issues, it is a fairly old hotel now.

The hotel is in bad shape and in urgent need of major rooms renovation.

We had 3 nights 4 days at this fabulous hotel last week 6 of us, and thoroughly enjoyed the location, hotel and fantastic staff. The views over the harbour were stunning and access wether walking, cable car, already taxi was all very easy…….well done.

There was nothing to dislike, food, drink, and lovely staff took care of everything we requested.

The food was good, despite poor service.

The service at reception and in the bar and restaurant was terrible. Staff were rarely available or approachable, and very unhelpful; more often they were rude and obnoxious. The building is a mess; the whole place looks like it has not had a single bit of maintenance done in over a decade. Paint is chipped and fading, there is rust, broken bits everywhere, and very obvious black mould in the showers and air-conditioning vents - a health hazard for sure. We had electrical issues in our room with light switches not working properly. There is absolutely nothing about this place that is 5-star and it is seriously over-priced for what it offers.
