Location

The room that we booked, it was clearly mentioned that it includes air-condition. However, the staff at the hotel asked for additional 60 Euros if we want to switch-on the AC, which is not right. Considering the heat & hot weather, we were left with no choice but to pay additional 60 euros.

The staff were horrible and racist. they do not like tourists, when asked for places to go, they dismissed me just because of my appearance. they do not like any minority groups, including English, Australian, middle eastern or serbian.

One of the most friendly staffs I have ever encountered. They were so accommodating with all of our needs and helped us with all of our travel problems as well as gave us excellent suggestions for activities to do in Malia. On top of that the food was excellent and it was a family business.

First of all the property is very clean and well maintained. It is perfect spot outside of the party-infested central Malia. It is just beside old town with multiple amazing restaurants within 5 min walk. Beach is just 15 min walk which was perfect for us. If you are after a little bit more quiet beach time I would highly recommend Potamos Beach which is 30 min walk but it is worth every step. Staff in the hotel were just amazing, helpful, positive and very open. Rooms are very clean, nice bathroom and studio kitchenette and we spend our evening on a spacious balcony. Comfortable beds, a lot of power outlets, nice towels and bedding. Clean and well maintained pool is available and not crowded.

This was my 4th stay here and such was the conviviality of other guests and hospitality of the hosts and staff I stayed for a further two weeks.If you are looking for independence and ease of access to anywhere in Eastern Crete this is the ideal location,with the appreciated advantage of being sufficiently distant from the craziness that has somewhat characterized the image of Malia.I cannot wait to return.

My stay at Happy Days was truly fantastic. The staff is exceptional, always ready to lend a hand and available. My apartment was very spacious and was cleaned by the maid every day. It features a really nice and clean pool that is open to guests all day. It is possible to eat excellent specialties and have a hearty breakfast. The prices compared to the service are excellent. It is located very close to the characteristic Old Town where you can find excellent restaurants with Greek and international specialties. I walked to the sandy beach in a few minutes. On the main road we find many pubs, businesses and supermarkets for any eventuality. my stay was five star, i am sure i will be back in september for a week of relaxation and fun from HappyDays!

The staff at Happy Days are so accommodating and welcoming, for the price it is a perfect hotel which allows you to see the old town of Malia. We loved our stay especially having the bar and pool and a balcony in the room. Thank you!

Bedbugs, pay attention

Family we’re lovely, Chris was hilarious! Pool and bar area nice and clean, cocktails delicious and food too! Good quiet area far enough from the strip so that you could get a good sleep.

Air conditioning was a little cold and can’t fix temp so got a little cold at night
